Chapter 4

"Your majesty Capijune," A well dressed scaly humanoid with 2 horns that start at the front and curve at the back, forming a sort of halo with it kneels in front of me. "This seat is pleased by your existence and presense today here. However, I'm afraid that I must say that there is something that requires the attention of your majesty."

Despite his words that sound like they are laced with quite the rudeness, this boy however doesn't mean any of it. Indeed, he is a calculative person and rarely doesn't act without reason, but when it comes to people like me, he unconsciously is more unguarded.

Kneeling infront of me is Ardinkir'Ka Boikin. One of the ancestors of the dragonnewts, another one of the Scourge Wardens, and the strongest person in my nation besides me.

"Callaly hears, however it seems that many pressing matters are popping up today, why don't you take a look at her?" I said when I showed Arikan who was being hugged by Asther. Ardinkir'ka shows a bit of surprise in his face for a moment when he looks up and then switches back to a normal expression.

"Arikan? What happened to you?" Ardinkir'ka dashed infront of Arikan.

"Hey! Give her some space!" Asther said as she blocked Ardinkir'Ka from getting closer, Feldur quickly followed up by wrapping Ardinkir'Ka with a chain with Asther following up with a kick to his chest, unexpectedly sending him flying to Feldur.

Feldur quickly dodged out of the way but then the three saw who Feldur was flying to. Me.

I sidestep out of the way, grabbed the flying Ardinkir'Ka by the waist and twirled him in the air while turning myself around in a 360 motion and planted Ardinkir'Ka in the ground, killing all of the momentum he had. "Show yourself, Lusaix." I called out someone who I noticed that arrived since Ardinkir'Ka came here.

"Your Majesty never fails to notice me. Was it my killing intent towards Lord Ardinkir'Ka? Or did you notice me when I came here with him?" Another person walks in through the front door.

She is another one of the Scourge Wardens; the High Dark Elf Variant, Lusaix Kedreminos. As a Dark Elf Variant, that is also of the High form, she has an unusual Lilac skin color. As a Dark Elf, she isn't very much related to the Elven Hadrica House that was present at the meeting.

Her family however still has as much importance. Normal Dark Elves have a tan or brown skin color while the High Dark Elves have a Lilac skin color.

Speaking about features, just like her unique lilac skin color, she also has quite the narrow eyes on her look... It's extreme to the point that people who see her for the first time would think she has her eyes closed and is blind. But she can most certainly see.

Now for her question... "Callaly noticed you when you came here with him. Can you not destroy Arikan's house? It's only going to make the situation worse." Ardinkir'Ka fell over at that moment.

Sure, what Asther, Feldur, and Lusiax did to him wouldn't knock him out, but if it was me, it would be no issue. And so he is unconscious for the time being.

But this is convienient. "So what requires Callaly's attention? The Abyssal? If so, then Callaly believes that you all could handle it."

"I wish that I could say the same your majesty and not doubt you, but just recently, a report came in that our recent fleet of ten warships that you ordered to clear the path for Anametis that included the Leviathan, has sunk. Two of the five prototype airships has come in with a report that they are the only surviving ones that had escaped as there was a monster capable of flight in the ocean and that monster's appearance matched those of what would come from the abyss. They were forced to flee from that place otherwise there would be no survivors. As a result of that, Ardinkir'Ka called off the escort of the Anametis and came here to look for you. And from what it looks like here, Arikan's recent words puts your Majesty's judgement in question."

... I took a moment to stare at Lusaix who stared back into my own eyes. Once again, despite Lusaix's blatent rudeness, the two besides me did nothing in response.

Although... I never really did take it to offense. I close my eyes for a moment then saying, "Very well then, you have convinced Callaly. Callaly will be taking Arikan with us however."

"Very well your majesty." Seemingly to have recovered, Arikan responded first. Lusaix bowed in response.

"We hear your majesty." Arikan moves to get ready to leave and leaves the room. We leave once Arikan changed to a battle outfit that she wears rarely.

As for me, I already had my battlewear on me... Well I don't have it equiped, but I plan to change into it once we arrive at the ocean frontline.

With that thought, Ardinkir'Ka had to return by his carriage to make his way to the port. With me, the personal guard duo, as well as the new addition of Lusaix, get on Sirant's back and take off.

It took a while to reach him, as we had landed in a forest clearing so as to not disturb the residents of the town that Arikan lived in. But it wouldn't be any worse from going on a carriage.

It's not bad to have a walk once and a while I think while on Sirant's back in the sky. Once again, I have the view of a rather small amount of my nation.

Despite my perception, I can only see a stretch of land. Although that is due to the fact we aren't flying high enough.

For the others, they aren't bothered by the strong wind as me and Sirant work together to abate what would normally be wild and a chaotic gust caused mainly by Sirant's flapping when he changes altitude. I myself actually take it head on, but it doesn't do much to me.

That reminds me, when people with long hair rode their dragons at a high speed, their hair would start to have issues. That isn't the case with me however, it's the same as always.

I hear voices behind me, rather clearly despite the strong gusts blowing in my ear enough to be able to distinguish what they are saying.

"So, Feldur, Asther, what exactly happened at this time's meeting?" Lusaix asked, Arikan makes no response herself to this question, as she is curled up into whatever kind of corner she created on Sirant...

"It was the same as usual. The meeting went without any major problems... " Asther began, "Is what I would want to say, but someone was foolish enough to place an aphrodisiac into Her Majesty's drink this time around in the meeting." Lusaix's face twitched, showing a bit of surprise.

"Someone was bold enough to attempt such an act during the meeting? Was the tea the cold brew sort that time?" Lusaix asked as if she was muttering to herself.

"Indeed, Feldur had the kitchen staff make the cold brew tea since Her Majesty was showing signs of being bored of the current tea that we made, which was a lomei grass type that needed hot water. We didn't expect there to be someone who would be idiotic enough to attempt to drug it. But it happened anyways as it did today." Lusaix retained her stone face and drove the conversation to a different topic.

And the conversation's new topic? I lost interest at that point.

But well, the trip was rather long, so there were certain things that I did end up paying attention to. But eventually, we arrived at the port, fortified for various reasons.

And those fortifications, were going to be more important than ever in the upcoming days.
