"You made Callaly upset, you know~?" My high pitched voice resounds. "You ruined Callaly's drink, you know~? You also tried to drug Callaly." The man has his head down in fear.
"Doesn't matter the reason, what you did is an unforgivable act of high treason. Your family will be stripped of it's rank and you will be heading to the guillotine." I didn't ask for the reason because everyone in the room already knew it.
This man is of a radical party that wishes to interact with the Dark Forest. You'd figure, if they wish to exploit the Dark Forest, why not use my offspring?
My offspring however, cannot withstand the influence of the Dark Forest either. And I wish to not do anything with the Dark Forest besides fending off the attacks that come from it.
And so this guy decided to drug me so that he could use me for the Dark Forest. I will not allow that to happen. Plus this is a good opportunity to cut down the strength of the radical party.
Perhaps I should purge them all together however... Well, that will be for the future me to handle. "Throw him in the dungeon and force him into the cursed clothes."
The two guards drag the man out of the room. The maids come back into the room.
However instead of refilling my cup, they took the empty cup and left the room once again. I get up as well and leave the room myself.
On my way out, I grab my Lakri and hid it within my sleeve. I then went to the stables and found my dragon, Sairant. It's a towering 60 meter figure that it's area takes up 40% of the palace.
The dragon's color is black and has 8 horns on it's head that bend back. There is no roof for the dragon because we do not fear it flying away. It eats a lot though.
There are a couple eggs next to the Sairant which he tends to, until he notices me. He then turns towards me.
"You've come." A deep voice sounds in my mind.
"Indeed Callaly has, nya."
"You're a unique one as ever I see."
"Do not mind it, nya." I feel weird.
"As the Sovereign of this peninsula, I believe you should reign yourself in." Sairant tells me, then chuckles at his own sentence. He then gives me a gentle look and grabs me. I panic as he did so without warning.
"Wa-what are you doing to Callaly? Unhand Callaly!" I cry out.
"Is that an order, my liege?" I hear from Sairant as he narrows his eyes at me menacingly.
"What are you trying to say? You want a fight?" I then break free of Sairant's grasp, flying out and landed perfectly on the ground, creating a bit of an impact however. And I unsheathe my Lakri.
"Fight? No, and besides if you really felt me as a threat, I would have cuts on my scales already, perhaps one of my limbs might have already been lopped off. Now come, come."
"Wah-eh?" I unconsciously make a confused sound and then made a exasperated sound right after. I then sigh and unsheathe my Lakri within it's sheathe. I don't hide it this time however.
I walk over to Sairant who then walks over to the eggs. The eggs were both both half a meter big.
"It's interesting to note that these eggs were smaller back then." Sirant states, "anyways, is there anything you need?"
"Yes, Callaly wishes to fly over and oversee Callaly's kingdom." I then jump and land on Sirant's back.
"Your Majesty, please wait!" Two people come sprinting over at high speeds and made it on top of the dragon before Sirant could even flap his wing once. It appears I have forgotten about my usual bodyguards when I leave the palace.
Two people of the Weinseth family who serves under me as my bodyguards, the twin sisters Asther and Feldur.
Although unnecessary, 400 years after the scourge invasion while this kingdom was around, the clans that served under me during that time were discussing topics of keeping me alive and warding off potential danger.
I say this is unnecessary because, no one in this kingdom can kill me unless they all rebelled against me at once. In this age of progression however, I don't see that happening even in the distant future when all of my people who possess the 'Scourge Warden' title finally die of old age.
And so now, the chosen clan that would swore to protect my life always send female bodyguards to protect me. At first, they would sometimes send male bodyguards, but after an incident, they only send females to me now.
This clan by the way, is of the Cat Beastman. The cat beastman are interesting people that have a natural gift in agility attribute.
Some of them end occasionally end their sentences with 'meow' or replace a part of a word with it. These two bodyguards of mine however, use 'nya' instead as they ended up picking up the habit from me. However, they only use it to end their sentences once in a while.

The Sirant lifts off from the ground after the twins hop on. We depart from the dragon stables.
The two cat beastman, Asther and Feldur are twins sent from that clan. Asther is a competent but sassy person who would not only refute everything that sounds wrong, but also would make snide remarks at people who say something that she doesn't like. Felder on the other hand is a perhaps, slightly less competent but is very respectful... Is what she wants you to think. She is also a equally competent person that is like a tigress in sheep skin, it's kind of complicated.
"Your Majesty, I feel like you are offending us somehow..." Asther said.
"Please don't mind it, it is only your imagination." I nonchalantly say while I look in the distance as we elevate in altitude, surveying my entire kingdom. The freezing winds of the high altitude skies do not affect us.
"Head to Burma town." I call out to Sirant as I stand on him.
"That place this time, your Majesty? You haven't gone there in a very long time."
One last thing to mention, the twins are the ones who are on the end with less hair on their bodies.
"Indeed it has." I reply reticently. I scan every detail of the town in the distance. This town has much of the needed functions it requires. It has a town-level barrier that protects it from the surrounding vicinity, and there are people who actively cull the numbers of the surrounding demons.
Thanks to that, there are little incidents besides those involving the people who cull the numbers. It's a dangerous task after all. Thankfully, there is a Guardian residing within the population of the demons which is restricting the actions of the demons under the Guardian. That is a good thing about the Guardian.
The bad thing about the Guardian is that they are cunning creatures who have as much intelligence as a person of the races. They get their name because they are defending the demons from us, not us from them. Hence, sooner or later, a higher up like me will have to address and get rid of the Guardian ourselves before it gets out of hand.
We haven't lost anything to a Guardian however so far thankfully. While holding those thoughts, we have arrived to the Burma town.
"Sirant, find a place to land." I then jump off the dragon, followed by the twin bodyguards, diving into the town head first.
If one were to freeze time and scan what I see, they would be able to see that the town wasn't surrounded by walls.
There was a mixture of stone, brick, and wood buildings that were rather close to each other and a large amount of space used for the courtyards for some buildings which people currently completely occupied two of them. A large multitude of people could be seen but their features were difficult to distinguish with the distance between us that were going about their day.
Before we hit the ground, we completely halted our speed of descent by creating a small shockwave in the air, transfering the energy that would normally be done by using the ground, minimizing damage for both us and the environment. I flip in the air to land on my feet before reaching the ground.
The other two land just right after me by my side. They surveyed our surroundings immediately.
The surrounding people murmur as it's rare for someone like me to appear like this. I watch as Sirant lands in the distance.
I then survey the surroundings myself. The people surrounding us are a mix of dwarves and beastman. The amount of beastman is much larger than the amount of dwarves however.
"Quite the rabble, your majesty." Asther said to me.
"Can't be helped~. Normal people would never think of entering a town by jumping off a dragon." Feldur replied.
I finally start walking in one direction, the twins follow me in toe as we break apart the crowd that continues to curiously gaze at us. They didn't hear what Asther said even though she said it out loud as they were louder themselves.
I turn right, as I start to lose the curiosity of the crowd and head into a building. Inside a smell of pastries wafted out.
There was a small, secure display of a few of the foods served in the restaurant quite a distance away from the entrance.
On the display were different assortments of bread, such as a bread in a ball shape that is entirely covered in frosting of a white color, bread that looks normal but has a sweet stuffing inside, just a bread, bread with a strange inlay on it that is colorful, and etc.
"One blubber Jelly-stuffed bread please." I ask from the other side of the counter, my voice attracts the attention of the person who was on the other side focused on baking bread; he looks straight at me.
"Oh! Isn't it your majesty and the twins!" The master of the shop exclaimed.
"One reabber Jelly-stuffed bread please!" Felder asked.
"One bread please!" Asther asked.
"Sure thing! Coming right up." The master of the shop said enthusiastically. He then quickly brings out a large bowl and takes out the dough from it. He skillfully shapes the dough and puts it on a metal sheet and repeats the process until there are three chunks of dough on the metal sheet, to which then he grabs the metal sheet and opens a container that has heat seeping out of it and shoves the metal sheet inside and closes the container.
We ourselves during this process decide to find ourselves a seat to wait in the small bakery. We found a space that was empty with 4 seats and occupied three of them.
The twins made small talk while I unconsciously zoned out and shut myself in while pondering about how I would continue to advance the society of my kingdom while still fending off the malevolent gods who despise civilization advancement. Suddenly, I was brought out of thought as one of the twins, Asther was poking me.
"Your Majesty~, the bread is ready~." She said in a cheerful tone while carrying two buns on her hand and Felder was with her eating a bun that had a red cross that appeared to be carved into it. The bun itself oozed of a red gelatin substance with every bite and squeeze Felder makes.
"Alright then, lets go." I say as I take the normal bun with a brown cross on it. Asther is left with a bun with a blue cross carved into it.
Right after we depart the bakery, Asther bites into the blue bun in her hand, which oozes with a blue gelatin substance instead of red. I'm still wondering why she makes me order what she wants.
I never ask because I lack interest in such a subject however. There's no harm to fulfilling such a wish of hers.
Very occasionally, the baker himself gives weird looks at her because there was one time where she had bluber jelly on her face without her realizing. I say very occasionally because it seems that he got over the idea as we don't visit him very frequently.
We probably visit this town a few times each month on average. Which is to say, it is at a completely random interval of time. But it doesn't really matter too much.
I bite into my own bread, rank 8 white wheat seems to be much sweeter than rank 7 white wheat.
Rank 8 Whole White Wheat
After many centuries of careful cultivation, the whole White wheat has reached rank 8, which has refined it's milder taste and has increased it's nutritional value. Energy for cultivators has increased. It's color has changed to a whiter color and has changed to a softer texture.
