O Black Saint Autumn

[ Adolescence ] Innocence

Steady , steady- there! I managed to help an injured baby bird back into its well protected nest.

I had to stand on the very tippy tips of my toes as well as stretch out my spine but by the love of nature, somehow she managed to get back where she belonged. The light glittering green of this particular tree contrasted with the deep connected brown of the multitude of twigs and dying leaves.

There was a metaphor in there that I was too naive to understand so naturally I focused on what’s right in front of me.

The great outdoors carried an awe inspiring beauty that always left me breathless. I was glad I was able to help that bird, it filled me with indescribable warmth.

I was bare feet so my feet were being caressed by the soft grass. Luckily everything from the grass to the sun seemed to be blessing me . Lured by the alluring lush greenery I made steps around the yard of my country side cabin home , I danced around till I found my favorite location. It was a river bed next to a field of dahlias in delightful disarray. The incredible pinks and purples hues of the world's organic expression made me appreciate life. rolling and playing until my heart's content.

This turn of events led to me being back first ,arms spread eagle .Peacefully I sat in the field of flowers captivated by the clear crystalline river and the freeing sound of nature….

SHHHHHHH- the sound of gently rushing water filled my eardrums , causing me to slip into exhaustion. The world seemed to whisper its secrets but like the haughty child i was i ignored the advice .My eyelids got heavy and I engaged in some shameless midday napping.

Green energy started coming from everything around me, and I felt more in tune with the world. Sometimes I interacted with animals but I didn't know why. There was way more than usual but I mean this was a forest.

Above me a baby fawn brown and spotted , no bigger than a cat appeared and took the liberty of laying beside me.

Oh ok? I guess that was fine with me . Then a bird landed on my tummy, which felt a little funny but I let him be .

Not much later a bear cub which I assumed was lost came and plopped its whole body onto me with no concern for my personal space.

Puzzled i simply started to laugh as we all became one

I knew nothing would happen to me if I fell asleep here because I had friends with me.
