When I arrived home I was forced into a conversation about what had happened and about the information I've received. I decided I needed to tell them everything to make sure they would be safe.
"Well, the assassin told me that I was being targeted by my... real father."
"Your real father?" Asked a curious Ryo.
"I guess my father is responsible for all of this. He's the reason Yuki-sensei wanted to kill me."
"That doesn't sound good dear." Keiko said.
"It doesn't. Son you should have told us sooner, we're not going to let anything happen to you."
"I want to believe that, yet, I can't shake the feeling that you will all end up dead because of me."
There's no way I could let that happen. My family was everything I had and losing them to whoever wanted me dead, which feels like everyone, would leave me completely destroyed. I don't even want to think about that.
"You have nothing to worry about, son. The Kiyomizus are a clan that spends their lives hunting and killing the supernatural. We're used to whatever the world throws at us."
"Have you ever faced an Angel before?"
"No. But, I could probably kick an Angel's ass."
"Be serious dear, our son is worried sick over this."
"You know what this calls for? A family trip. We're going to an amusement park."
"T-that's alright dad."
"Nope. I've made up my mind."
The last thing I wanted was to be out in public with my family. But, dad's, you can't really do much about them. I guess it'd be nice to spend some time with Setsuna.
"I'm not going." Setsuna said.
"Why not?"
"You know why."
"Come on, it'll be fun."
"No."
"Aww, that sucks. I really wanted you to come."
"You do?" She asked while looking at Terios.
"Yes. I do."
"Fine."
The entire family decided to walk on towards the amusement park which was filled with visitors of all ages, young and old. Terios stood next to his sister with an around her. He led her to the first ride he wanted to go on with her which was a scary roller coaster with frightening loops and sharp turns.
"I want to ride this with you. Doesn't it look scary!?" He asked while smiling.
"No. But, I'll ride it with you."
Nothing scares Setsuna. Nothing.
"Count me in. I'm surprised you want to ride this. I assume you'll be pissing all over yourself once it's set and done." Akemi said.
"Shut up." Terios said weakly.
"What? I couldn't hear you."
"Nothing."
"Figures. You're such a pussy."
"Don't be mean, Akemi." Setsuna said.
"It's my nature."
What an asshole. This guy's unreal. The fact that he's Ryo's son is shocking.
The kids waited in line for awhile until it was finally their chance in the spotlight. Terios and Setsuna sat up at front while Akemi got comfortable in the back. The park assistant made sure everyone was locked in tight before giving the thumbs up.
Holding on closely to Setsuna, Terios held his breath as the ride took off, dashing forward with the speed of a locomotive. It took them for a wild ride as it climbed up the ramp, staying high in the air for awhile to build suspense.
"M-maybe Akemi's right."
"I am."
"He isn't, Teri-kun. He's never right."
"Shut up."
And then the ride took off, blasting downward with rushing speed. The wind blew against their clothes and messed up their hair. The rider's screams were synchronized as if they had been practicing for this very thing.
Terios closed his eyes when it was too much for him to handle. The loops were stomach turning and vomit inducing. Though he remained strong. For the girl who sat by his side.
When the ride was over, Terios wobbled around and nearly flopped until Setsuna held onto him, keeping him secure and standing perfectly straight.
"I got you, Teri-kun."
"Thanks."
"Man. I'm curious. It's really starting to bug me. Why is everyone so concerned with you all of a sudden?" Akemi asked.
"I don't know. I can't say I'm loving the attention."
"Pfft, of course you wouldn't."
Next on the to do list for the gang was go kart racing. This time Akira and Maemi joined Terios and Setsuna for some fun on the road.
Each of them headed into a separate kart and were lined up accordingly. The road was fresh and ready to handle the wheels of the mobiles.
"Maemi, I wish you the best of luck. You're going to need it." Akira said.
"Please, you're the one who's going to need it."
Everyone took off, the various karts wheels rolled off. Akira and Maemi were off in the front with the two racing for the top spot.
Setsuna strolled behind while Terios tagged along to keep her company.
"Why are you moving so slowly?"
"I don't know."
"You just have to press harder on the gas."
"I know. I like this speed."
Well, she wouldn't be my sister if she wasn't a tad bit weird.
After the race was over. Terios decided he wanted to get some cotton candy. He knew Setsuna wouldn't be able to digest it, but leaving her alone would be worse. At the cotton candy shop there was a young girl there who was crying because she didn't have enough money for candy.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
The two approached her and asked what was wrong, she quickly wiped her tears and looked up at them.
"I-I-I want cotton candy! But, my stupid brother got lost!"
She was so short and cute. Her hair and eyes were a cute shade of pink. She wore blue pants along with a yellow mini skirt and a blue tank top.
"What's your name?"
"A-Akari..."
"I'll buy you some candy, no need to cry."
"A-alright. Thank you."
"You're pretty cute."
"T-thank you." She blushed lightly.
Setsuna was a bit jealous as she watched him order two sticks of cotton candy and handed one off to the little girl.
"I can help you find your brother."
"That'd be nice of you!"
"Teri-kun..."
"Huh?"
"Well, look at this. We have a bunch of Kiyomizus."
"Ken Vhaal..."
Ken was apart of the clan that the Kiyomizus made a truce with. He belongs to a family of creepy assassins.
Ken had brown eyes and green hair. He wore a blue t-shirt with a blue scarf wrapped around his neck. Covering his legs was a green pair of pants.
"Terios Kiyomizu. Thanks for keeping an eye on my baby sister."
"Yeah no problem."
Akari ran over to hug her brother and announced she wasn't a baby.
"I'm 15, I'm not a baby!"
"I know, I know."
Terios watched as the two left and noticed Akari turning back to wave at him.
Meanwhile.
Over at the Church of Purification. A church with inner knowledge of everything that was taken place on the world and everything that would take place on it. They were a special unit that were made for one purpose. To purify any source of evil. And they imagine purify as death. The very church was made by an Angel of God who sought after troubled teens with physical impairments.
"Today we pray for a better world. A cleaner world. A world where we can live in peace. As you all know the line that separates the supernatural and natural is becoming nonexistent! Demons are walking among us. And it's our job to purify them." Abner preached to his followers on a stage.
"I chose all of you for a very special reason. You're all agents of God. You'll guide me in making an evil free world. Together, everything that is impure can become pure."
A roar of chants and applause was heard through the church. Abner smiled before he took a bow and walked down the stage.
"Are we really going to do this?"
"Of course we are. Thanks to your knowledge of the Kiyomizus, Shiori. We can purify them and the likes."
"Is now really a good time?"
"It's the best time. They won't expect to see their son leading an army to kill every last one of them. This is God's will and this world is filthy. We have to do what we can to make it pure, Shiori Kiyomizu."
"Trust me, I understand, Abner. Nobody wants the Kiyomizus to suffer more than I do. After all they're responsible for taking something very important from me."
"That's why I want you to lead the assault. I know how personal this is for you, but, I also know how careful you are."
"I understand, Abner. I'm grateful to you for giving my sister and I a home. I'll never forget what you've done for us."
The two walked as they continued to talk to one another, entering the small hallway of the church which was lit with torches attached to the stone tiled walls. Matching the tiled pattern was the floor which enhanced everyone's footsteps no matter what kind of shoes they wore.
"You know all of their weaknesses. This fight is already leaning in our favor. And once we're done with the Kiyomizus we can focus on the world's newest threat; nephilims."
"One thing at a time, Abner. We can't get ahead of ourselves."
Much like Yuki-sensei, Abner started out as an agent for the one above, tasked with observing how the humans were fairing with the invasion of the band of Fallen Angels. Once he saw how fragile they were he used all of his energy to provide guidance.
Much like God he searched for the most loyal members. People who had nothing to lose and a new life to gain. Abner searched for people in need for his holy gifts. The people who came to his side were in need of a miracle.
When he first met Shiori the young man was lost in the world. He was alone and out of place with his sister who he needed to protect. After days of harboring food from garbage cans and sometimes from droppings that looked somewhat edible, Abner came upon them and informed them of a new life that they could live if they gave their life to his savior.
With the two being demonic in nature to him, harboring the blood of the wolf, Abner banned them from performing such a transformation. Although, they weren't strong enough to completely transform into a full blown werewolf.
To make up for their lack of a transformation he issued them with enchanted items. Honoka was blessed with a staff that had the ability to forge plants to her aid making her comfortable with nature. Shiori was granted two chokutos, blades that could be infused with light itself to increase its cutting power.
Abner's goal was starting to blur through the lines of reality and fantasy, he had a goal which was to eradicate all sources of evil. It was his obsessions, he swore to himself, to god, and to his members that he would cleanse the world.
Blindly following their faith none of the members questioned his motives. Maybe they were too scared to as they all knew of his holy status as an Angel of God. To show even a lack of faith in an Angel means you're losing faith in the one above all and surely that isn't something worth risking.
