Once Akihisa Ina had reached outside and saw the bright ball of fire soaring high in the sky he lost all of his strength and dropped to his knees and covered his head with his hands before speaking.
"Dad. Why now? Why now when you could have just left me to rot?" Akihisa asked him.
Of course his father was still just a voice in his head so he didn't even know if he was really talking to his father or was just going crazy either way it didn't matter to him.
"I did what I did for the sake of the game. Because of my actions the chips are falling into place. Terios is on his way to fighting his greatest challenge."
"Game? If this is just a game for Terios then why am I even involved?"
"Good question. You're a major player in this game, Akihisa."
"That doesn't make me feel any better about you leaving me for all those years."
"Think about who you'll become because I left you and Terios alone for all those years. Now think why am I just now getting back in touch with you two?"
"I can't really say."
"I want to help you two reach your full potential. I know how both of you feel deep down. You're both monsters ready to be unleashed upon the world! You and Terios were both treated unfairly. You and Terios both hate your lives! Mankind has forsaken you and Angelkind wants to erase you from this world! Now tell me, what the hell are you going to do about it?"
"…"
"Let me make this easier. What won't you do?"
"…"
"You're 16 now son. You've never had a real friend... have you?"
"No."
"A girlfriend?"
"No.."
"A future?"
"....No..."
"A past?"
"…"
"Hahaha, I just wanted to make sure you weren't repeating the same thing over. You're so quiet, were you always like this?"
"No... yes... I can't even remember. Was there ever a moment I was truly happy? If there was wouldn't I remember it?"
"Happiness is an illusion, son. A mere drug. Happiness is an excuse for living for many. The reason they struggle and beg and crawl to live is so that they can experience happiness no matter how small it is. It's selfish really."
"Is it really?"
"It Iis. Humans have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. They're all spiteful little devils who don't care about anyone else unless it effect them personally."
"…"
"Tell me what do you think someone would do if they saw someone getting mugged?"
"Call for help?"
"No. They simply delude themselves and act as if they didn't see it."
"Hmm."
"Wasn't it like that act school...?"
"…"
"Weren't you suffering from loneliness and begging someone to notice you? Did they notice you?"
"I'm tired of this conversation."
"Did this notice you?"
"No they didn't."
"I can see your heart son. I'm your father and I know how you feel. You're lost in a world that doesn't get you. Trapped among selfish people. You're different and the world is afraid of different. You're so depressed that you've been thinking about killing yourself and why haven't you?"
"Because I figured that dying would be exactly the same way I feel now. Empty."
Akihisa's body floated through the sky as his father lifted him through the air and raised him high above to get a better look at the city around him which was polluted by lights.
"People are killing themselves. They pollute the world just by breathing. Now with power like mine you could save billions of people! But, for every person you save someone somewhere will die."
"So it's pointless then. To save someone if you can't save all of them.'
"Indeed. After all it's just an endless cycle. Quite frankly I'm bored of it and need some excitement."
The next morning.
Terios and Akari were at their usual spot, practicing with live combat to spicen things up. Akari figured that he would learn more with actual combat experience. The two stood on opposing sides before giving each other a respectful bow.
After this Akari leapt into the air and allowed her black wings to extend like a bird's. Terios imitated her, catching her off guard by the odd colors of his wings.
"Black and white, interesting."
"Thanks sis! Now let's see if this training really has paid off. I feel a bit more comfortable."
Akari nodded before generating a ball of light within her hand before she hurled it in his general direction. The ball inched closer to him, emitting a bright light before it exploded near
him. The explosion covered a short radius and left smoke soaring through the air. She tilted her head up, noticing Terios had soared above to avoid the attack.
"You're pretty fast."
Terios moved both of his palms in her direction as he summoned a sea of tendrils formed from his darkness ability. They each extended their way over but Akari was prepared and quickly flew off to the side to avoid them.
"You have to be more creative then that!"
"Oh yeah, how about this!?"
Terios flapped his wings firmly, quickly flying over to his sister as he covered his hand with a whip forged from his shadows. When he was close enough he raised his hand and swung the whip down which just barely missed her body. The force from the strike caused her hair to move violently with the wind it produced.

"Don't try to seriously hurt me now!"
"I wouldn't dare do such a thing, sis! I'm just trying to mater my ability the best way I can."
"Hmph. Fine, let's continue."
Akari summoned a few stakes formed from her light before they fired off each at their own time. Terios smiled as he held out his hand and formed a portal from shadows above him as he reached inside to grab onto his chokutos. Latching onto them tightly he deflected each strike from the stake.
"Like the new trick?"
"You want to show off well so can I!"
Akari fired off a quick beam of light towards Terios who stood his ground and blocked it with his blade which was the wrong action to make as it sent him flying back until he fell onto the ground with a thud.
"Uggh! Guess I'm not strong enough to take that beam yet."
"Don't push yourself too hard."
Akari descended, landing next to him. She helped him up and checked to see if he was in any pain.
"I'm fine. Let's keep going."
"No that’s enough, we should take things slowly. If you become too powerful too quickly then you may snap with your newfound power."
"R-really? Is that like an official rule?"
"Just a precaution."
"I'll take your word for it sis."
Akari smiled and allowed him to stand on his own. She looked down for a moment thinking about something before she gazed back up at his appearance.
"Are you certain this is what you want to do, Teri-kun? You'll have to live with this for the rest of your life."
'Don't worry, I thought about it and this is something that I feel is right. I want to make sure Shiori and Akari rest well. I made a promise to my cousin and I'll honor it. Isamu isn't a good person anyways."
"I know, I was just making sure."
Later that night Terios headed back home after enjoying his time with his sister Akari. As he entered the house he was greeted by none other then Akemi his brother who stood at the door with his arms crossed, his dark red eyes glancing at his brother.
"So when's it going to be official?" Akemi asked.
"What?"
"I know you were out with Akari. You two are an item or something?"
"No! Akari's my friend. She's a pleasant person to be around unlike some people."
"Watch it Terios. We both know how ugly this can turn."
"Are you always in a bad mood?"
"Damn right. Pfft." Akemi turned away and walked off, leaving Terios alone by the entrance of the manor.
The day was approaching where he would extract Shiori's dying promise. He had to be ready for anything and didn't want to let his family know that their treaty would be broken by him. Causing trouble for his family was the last thing he wanted to accomplish that's why this had to be perfect.
Meanwhile at Azazel's lair; an isolated cave that he had carved himself to keep himself hidden from Angel sightings and annoying travelers.
Akihisa sat against a wall while listening to his father go on for what he had planned for his son, it was strange to have been abandoned by the man and then be apart of the loop like nothing had happened.
"Terios is out on a quest for blood to avenge his dying cousin, Shiori. He'll stop at nothing to murder the one known as Isamu Emata. That's why him and Akari have been training for the past two weeks."
"How do you know this?"
"You question my power boy? I can observe all of my children as if I was there myself without them noticing."
"...Really?"
"I never observed you after I told you that you weren't needed. But, when I found a way for you to be useful, I glanced at your location here and there."
"You really feel no guilt for ditching me?"
"Why would I? How does being guilty benefit me?"
"It doesn't."
"Then there's no need to be guilty. Anyways, the game is all set up. Isamu knows of Terios' arrival. I warned him of the danger he faced and being the arrogant fool that he is he ignored my warnings."
"Where do I fall in play?"
"You won't be used just yet. Just sit back and relax for now. That's all you need to do."
"All of this for Terios?"
"Yes. He holds tremendous amounts of power stored deep within. With him at my disposal... our plans will be fulfilled."
"Who's our?"
"All in due time. For now we shall wait. And soon our war will begin."
Azazel laughed to himself while Akihisa adverted his gaze from his father. He was completely lost with whatever was going on and didn't know if he really had a place in this game or if he was just another pawn to be disposed of either way he wasn't going to just let it go in his father's favor.
"When's Terios going to make his move?"
"He's going to do another weak of training and then he's going to charge straight for the Emata's estate."
"Thanks for the info. I'm glad to be apart of this dad. It's been a long while since I've been involved in anything."
"Don't get mushy on me. It's pointless."
