It's that time of the day again. The time when I feel horrible about myself. When I wish that I could erase my existence from the world. Sometimes, I wish I could just hide in a thick blanket of shadows. Anything is better then dealing with... everything.
Terios stood uneasy with his hands gripping each side of the sink. His crimson red eyes stared directly into the mirror as he gazed upon his own reflection. Lowering his head, his mouth secreted a helping of vomit.
Sometimes I feel so worthless. Wishing that I could be anyone but me, anybody is better than me. Enough of this if I don't get out there soon...
From the faucet a stream of gushing water poured out and was collected into soft hands before being splashed onto the face of Terios. With one last stare at the mirror, he headed out of the bathroom.
I never was popular, I didn't expect to become popular, but, I never expected to be so hated. I'm officially dubbed, the school's 'emo' and yeah I cut myself. I don't do it for attention. I always start to slice into my skin and realize what a burdened I'd be on my family.
I'm not a very athletic person, I'm five-ten. Yet, I have the most prettiest girlfriend who I adore even if she's not too crazy about me.
Terios walked along the school's halls, dressed in a purple and black stripped shirt with long sleeves and black skinny jeans with a red and black studded belt attached. His feet was protected by a red colored converse with the toe area black along with the laces. Along his head was numerous strands of tyrian purple hair side swept to the left with few strands covering parts of his left eye.
Once making it to the lunchroom he shivered and felt a knot tie itself within his stomach. Anxiety never went away here it only got worse as he arrived with more people. Unfortunately, she made him work in order to see him.
Walking stiffly, he kept his head down, ignoring all of the sudden eyes that stabbed into him.
I hate it when they look at me like that. It's so nerve wrecking! I feel like I'm petrified with fear.
Relief washed over him as he came to a table filled with popular cheerleaders, he swallowed his fear before taking a seat next to the one known as Makoto. She was one of the most beautiful girls in this school maybe even all of Japan.
Her face was stained with make up that looked like it was done by a professional. She wore a simple, yet elegant mini skirt along with a tank top that matched her exotic blue locks.
As Terios sat all of her friends stared at him before Makoto spoke.
"Who said you could visit me during lunch?"
"U-uhhh..."
"I'm just playing, babe!"
She playfully elbowed him.
"Haha, of course."
Soft fingers twisted around his hair, a habit he did when he was nervous.
It was a miracle that she even talks to me, sometimes I question whether or not she has feelings for me, but it doesn't matter. She's my life anchor and I don't know what I would do if I didn't have her around.
"See you around guys, I'm going to spend some alone time with my boyfriend."
All of them giggled.
Hearing her call me her boyfriend rejuvenated me somewhat. Something about that word just makes me feel happy. Especially coming from her.
She interlocked her arm with his and led them off to the spot they usually went to talk; the rooftops.
Once arriving there she laid down in the middle of the area accompanied by a shaky Terios.
"So, Teri-kun. Did you finish my homework?"
"O-of course. You're sure to get an A."
"So sweet~!" She turned to kiss him gently.
Feeling her lips even for a moment, I could feel how soft they were and the taste of her strawberry scented lipstick. Also... it's perfectly normal for a boy to do his girlfriend's homework. It's how our relationship works.
"After school will you help me carry my bags home?"
"O-of course. You don't even have to ask.."
"What a sweet boyfriend~!" She pecks him on the lips again.
"You know, I don't know what I would do if I lost you."
"… I don't like when you talk like that. You should know this."
"S-sorry, it's just..."
"Have you been... cutting yourself?"
"…"
"Don't lie to me."
"Maybe a little."
"Show me."
He slowly rolls down his sleeve, showing the fresh blood stains and cuts going across his arms.
"You don't need to cut yourself when you have an awesome girlfriend."
"Sorry, I'm just. Battling my demons."
"Well, ok. I don't want you to die. Remember that before you cut yourself."
After lunch was over, Terios quickly left his class and headed down the steps to where Makoto promised she'd be waiting. He rolled around a corner and witnessed Makoto locking lips with another boy. One of the boys who bullies him.
This has to be a dream... I'm ready to wake up now. Should I confront her? No... I'll wait.
Once they finished locking lips the boy went along with his business while Terios approached her.
"Hey, Makoto..."
"Hi Terios! Ready to walk me home?"
"Yeah..."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong."
He took her hand and began walking her out of the school and down their usual routine path.
It wasn't real. It isn't real. Just my imagination...
"You've been quiet. Something bothering you?"
Pausing, Terios lowered to a whisper.
"I saw you... kissing one of the guys wh-"
Out of no where she immediately slapped him across the face.
"Are you saying I cheated on you!? Don't be silly! I would never cheat on you!"
"S-sorry, I don't know what... forgive me."
"No."
"…"
The rest of the walk was quiet, she went inside without a word, leaving Terios clutching at his heart.
Coming home late as usual. He opened the door where he was greeted by his father, Ryo Kiyomizu.

"Hey, son."
Ryo was a pretty good height for his age. Six foot four. Atleast to Terios. He had simple hazel eyes and brown hair and wore average clothing for a man at the tender age of forty-five.
"Hey dad."
"How was school?"
"Great..."
I had to lie, my father has enough to deal with and I am the adopted son. I'm just glad that I can come home to a loving family. Even if they are pretty special.
"Your mom made your favorite batch of sugar cookies. They're cooling off right now."
"Sounds great!"
Ignoring his father's instruction he went into the large sized kitchen decorated with various pantries. His eyes spotted the counter where the treasure lied. Smoothly walking over he moved his hand to grab ahold of the soft cookie. Bringing it up to his nose he inhaled the sweet aroma that evaded his nostrils. Then, he took a bite, clenching his teeth into the soft dough before he mauled the cookie into thin pieces.
"Mmmmm. This is enough to brighten my day."
From the shadows, a grim figure stalked him and setting its killer instinct went out to attack him when least expecting it. Surprised he gasped, but felt arms wrap around him for a hug.
"Teri-kun. You're home."
This was Setsuna, a young woman who stood at five foot eight. Her eyes were abnormally a shade of dim gray and her hair is long and black. What makes her stand out from the rest is that her skin is deathly pale, almost supernatural. Her body temperature is also cold. Covering her small chest was a black corset. Straddling her legs were black ripped up leggings and her feet was plated with black boots. From her elbows to her hands were a pair of black and grey stripped arm warmers and along her neck was a cross necklace. Matching her favorite color choice her nails were caressed with black paint.
"Yeah, I'm home Setsuna."
I always feel bad for my sister. Her life was over before it even started.
"I missed you so much." Her voice had a cold monotonous feeling to it most of the time.
"I missed you too." He said before turning around to hug her.
"How was school?'
"Fine. I have some homework to finish so, I'll see you around."
"You promise?"
"O-of course, we are in the same house, silly."
He grabbed the sheet of cookies and headed to his room.
Terios laid in bed, snacking on his mother's cookies as he pictured the kiss that went down between Makoto and his bully. It was hard to believe that something like that would happen.
Readjusting himself in bed he closed his eyes before he heard a faint whisper within his head.
Terios.
It caused him to jump as it sounded demonic, his heart jabbed against his chest while panting heavily.
"God, what the heck was that...!?"
Was I just imagining things? It's probably just stressed. Resting will make me feel better.
Another morning started and for Terios this would be another sorrowful day. He was already tired with how things were and how he pictured they would always end up being. Before entering the building he was met by his usual bully who shoved him onto the ground.
"Sorry, but you need a password."
"You're kidding."
"Do I look like I'm kidding?"
His hand clutched on the collar of Terios' shirt, forcing him dangling in the air. His head lowered and his eyes closed as he imagined himself anywhere but here.
"That's enough. Put Terios down."
"Yuki-sensei! I was just, helping Terios learn about the fundamentals of gravity! What goes up must come down." He drops Terios on his ass.
"Right. Run along now before I give you detention."
He scurries off like a rat.
"You ok, dear?'
"I'm fine..."
"I want you to stop by after class. I'd like to speak with you in private."
"Yes, ma'am."
I wonder what she wants to talk to me about.
Ignoring the horrible start to his day he goes on with learning his lessons from his classes and eagerly awaits lunchtime. He wanted to see Makoto today.
With classes now over he wanders through the halls, holding his breath as he came across the cafeteria. Feeling like a mouse in an unknown area he crawls through the sea of faces until he stops at his destination where he taps on Makoto's shoulder.
"Terios. We need to talk."
The two of them went to their hang out spot up on the roof, but judging from her seriousness something was up.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm just not ready for a serious relationship. I thought I liked you, but, I just pitied you.."
"…"
"I wanted to tell you before, but, you would probably kill yourself. I just didn't want to lie to you anymore."
With those words my heart shattered into a million pieces. I felt empty and alone in a world where I never belonged. The rest of the day went by like someone had a remote on fast forward. Sometimes I wish I could just skip through life and get to the part where things doesn't suck.
Like a zombie he marches through empty days until he enters Yuki-sensei's classroom.
"Terios I'm glad you could make it."
"…"
"Shut the door dear."
He closes the door behind him and stands infront of her desk where she sat with her legs crossed.
"I'm sorry."
"…?"
"I know this sounds crazy, but... I'm an Angel. I was sent here by the Holy Council to exterminate you."
"What...?"
"You're a Nephilim. A being composed of human and fallen. A race that wasn't meant to exist."
"Not meant to exist...? Nephilim...?"
Before I awaited her to say she was joking I felt three stakes of light enter my body. One through my chest, another through my throat and finally, one penetrated my gut. Everything felt so cold, but it was a feeling I was used to. I was always alone. Blood started to clog my airways and every time I tried to call for help I gagged until I dropped dead.
