Naruto’s Brother Chapter 5 - Kurama’s Decision

I watched as Gekko went one by one asking simple questions, their names, their reason for ambushing. Most were obvious answers to guess.

Gekko moved over to the one I had decided to nickname shaky, he looked very uncomfortable. Shaky stared down at the floor as he attempted to stay completely still. He wasn’t able to think, the nervous ticks were too bad.

I noticed he wasn’t scared of Gekko, all of his nervous glances were directed at me or in the direction of my clones. He was obviously new to this life, he looked young, around 15 or 16.

I watched each one carefully, my three clones behind them were watching as well. The captured bandits were all on their knees, their hands bound behind their back.

As Gekko focused his interrogation onto Shaky, I noticed something, the clone behind the one on the far left, Shaky was on the far right.

The clone stared at me before he glanced down at the man in front of him with a look I interpreted as he may try something.

I put my hand behind my back and put one finger up and then 4 fingers, I saw the clone put his hand behind his back and most likely do the same.

I had clones spread out in the area around where we were, about 5, one of them was behind me and the other was behind the three guard clones.

Those two would watch us for signals and then signal to the other three what was going on. I wasn’t sure what my clone saw but I was ready, the clone in front of Gekko seemed to do the same signal to him at the left side of his body so the first wouldn’t see.

Then the man made his move, he flexed his wrists snapping the rope which seemed to have been cut into slightly as the clone behind him pounced, kunai in hand.

The two clones behind the other two bandits jumped at them as they fought back, they seemed to be shinobi as well but were much weaker.

The four clones that had perched up in the trees around him dropped on him with Kunai in hand as the fifth clone landed beside me as we both flashed threw hand signs.

It was a good idea to go for the overkill since the man moved way faster than I was capable of, a Shinobi. Gekko launched himself towards the man, he stopped just short as me and the clone finished our Jutsu.

It seemed we both went for the same Jutsu “Wind Release: Whirlwind Spear!” we shouted to get the one clone who was still alive to grab and hold onto the man.

Two spears of strong winds formed in the air beside me and the clone before they launched forward, cutting through the air as they aimed at the shinobi.

The man dodged them effortlessly even throwing my clone into one of them. Gekko launched forward at that moment, his sword swung around and sliced at the man. The man was clearly around Jonin level as he bent backwards to avoid the sword.

“Buff!” I shouted as I ran at Gekko, the clone that was beside me summoned five more clones as they all dashed at the Jonin to distract him.

Me and Gekko flashed through hand signs as we came to a stop beside each other. We finished the seals. I placed my hand on Gekko’s hip and he placed his on my shoulder.

“Wind Release: Wind Friction Shatter” I said as quietly as I was able, Gekko didn’t need to say the name so he was completely quiet.

He had no need to put the Jutsu on me but sometimes he decided to “we rush him, use Jutsu and clones to overwhelm and distract him and I’ll kill him” Gekko whispered to me as wind whipped up around our body’s. The wind shattered the effect of air resistance on our bodies.

We shot forward much faster than before, I unsheathed my chokuto into my right hand as I made a clone seal with my left, the six clones from before had been dispersed.

I summoned 8 clones this time, 5 joined me and Gekko whilst the other three jumped back and went through hand signs ready to send Jutsu flying.

Gekko and I shot ahead of the clones, Gekko went first, sending two quick slashes at the man as I appeared beside him. The two slashes from Gekko were dodged and the slash I sent was blocked by a kunai.

The clones arrived at that moment as they launched themselves at the Jonin with reckless abandon. Two were dispersed with a kunai stab and a kick whilst the other three dived and grabbed onto him. Limiting his movement enough to allow Gekko to score a long gash across the shinobi’s thigh.

The fight was already decided with that one attack. The shinobi wouldn’t be able to get the required medical attention and would soon bleed out. It was obvious he realised this as he knocked my clones away and went through some hand signs.

I narrowed my eyes and me and Gekko disengaged, jumping back to get ready to dodged, it was unnecessary though.

The man breathed in deep before exhaling a large ball of fire at me. I went to go through hand seals to counter but my clones were there before me. One had already gone through hand seals “Wind Release: Whirlwind Thrust!” he shouted as he waved his hands upwards.

An updraft of large cycling winds erupted from the ground underneath the ball of fire chakra, the winds deflected the fireball, empowering it but sending it upwards at the same time.

I used the chance to go through different hand seals. Snake - Rat - Bird. A massive amount of wind chakra appeared around my feet joining the circling winds around me.

“Wind Release: Whirlwind Movement!” I said.

I shot forward, faster than even the two Jonins as I appeared before the shinobi, Gekko had rushed forward as well but was a bit behind me.

The wind chakra at my feet dispersed after one step. I had been going through hand seals as I got close. Wind Chakra surged around my left fist as I slammed the punch into the ground at the shinobi’s feet.

“Wind Release: Gust Surge!” I said, one of my B Rank Jutsu.

The wind chakra created a point of immense air pressure, it surged outwards from my fist as the shinobi was sent flying away, tumbling through the air before he impacted hard against the dirt.

Gekko was already upon the ninja, his sword slashed down as it tore through the man’s back eliciting a grunt of pain. Gekko had too much of an advantage, his quick sword swings quickly finished off the ninja. The man laid dead on the ground.

I turned back to the two other prisoners, my two clones had knocked them out cold. They stood over the two with kunai in their hands.

Gekko quickly got to interrogating the two. We found out they were part of a larger group of bandits that operated in this area before he executed them.

We let the merchants rest before we set off again, arriving at the village in a few hours. We got the merchants to mark the mission complete on the scroll before we immediately set off.

Gekko wanted to get back to report so we held nothing back. I put wind friction shatter on both of us and we occasionally use shunshin to enhance our speed.

We arrived in just less than a day since we moved throughout the night. We quickly made our way to the mission room as we reported to the current stationed Jonin who handled any unexpected changes to the mission. We told him about the ambush and the Jonin.

We stood in the office beside the mission room as the Jonin rubbed his chin in thought. He wasn’t a named character, I didn’t recognise him.

“We’ll take this to the Hokage, follow” he ordered as he left the office. We moved upstairs to the reception desk, we waited a minute before we were let in.

Hiruzen smiled at me as he turned to the Jonin “Irino, how may I help you?” he asked.

“Team Gekko has reported some unexpected complications on their mission. A Jonin and two Genin level shinobi were a part of a bandit ambush on the caravan they were escorting. They had no forehead protectors” he stated as the Hokage nodded.

“A part of the same group?” the Hokage asked, “I believe so” Irino said with a nod.

Hiruzen turned to us two “thank you for bringing this to our attention, a bandit group has been growing more bold, we believed them to have gained some shinobi in their ranks and you have potentially just given us proof that they have” he said with a nod.

“Give them the pay of a B Rank, they fought a Jonin after all” Hiruzen said as he let me and Gekko go. We collected our pay as we left.

Gekko said I could rest for the rest of the day and that we would just do some training tomorrow. So it’s time to go chill, it’s around 12 so Naruto and Sasuke will be at the academy so i’m going to go and have a nice nap.

Sasuke Uchiha’s POV

Naruto, Shika, Choji and I all sat at our usual table. Naruto and I always sat beside each other whilst Shika and Choji sat across from us.

“So Shika, how’s the shadow Jutsu stuff coming along?” Naruto asked, Shika had told him about the Nara Clan’s speciality and he had become quite interested. He was as obsessed with Ninjutsu as Kami was.

“It’s going alright, father said I am progressing nicely” Shika said simply, he used the least amount of words possible because of his laziness.

“What about you Choji?” I asked as I looked at said boy who simply shrugged “same really, it’s going decently” he said. He used a small amount of words so he could eat his food faster.

I let out a small sigh as I glanced at my friends, Naruto was daydreaming, Shika was simply eating and Choji was stuffing his face.

I got the distraction I wanted as two familiar faces walked over to our table, trays in hand.

“Hey Sasuke” one of the girls said, a pink haired civilian girl. Sakura was a kind girl, she was obviously not that motivated in her studies though.

The girl beside her was Ino Yamanaka, a clan girl. She was brash and blunt but also tended to be kind at times.

I hesitated to say hi back, or to invite them to sit with us. Kami had always been a nice guy, he would be polite to people and I had wanted to follow in his footsteps at the academy.

Unfortunately my looks and kindness had attracted the wrong type of attraction from the girls of our class, not all of them though. I had attempted to talk to Kami about this but he just laughed and told me to enjoy the attention as it wouldn’t last forever. Fat lot of good that did!

These two girls were ones who seemed to be infatuated with me the most, Naruto teased me endlessly about it. That’s why I was hesitant to invite them to sit with us even though that’s obviously what they wanted.

In the end my kindness won out and I gestured for them to join us. Ino sat beside me on the free spot and Sakura took the spot on the other side. Naruto had already slid away otherwise he would get glared at by Sakura who he found annoying.

I then suffered through their constant questions and their many compliments. Maybe Kami didn’t give me any advice because he had none, this was getting ridiculous. Maybe I could get them to move their affections to my brother.

Kami was a good looking guy and already a Genin. I knew some of their affections for me was because I was one of the best in class. Naruto would most likely get the same attention if he wasn’t so loud and annoying at times.

I immediately got the three guys' attention “hey do you two want to come over to ours?” I asked Shika and Choji. Naruto agreed with me immediately, apparently he wanted to play a new board game he had found.

I smirked inwardly as I saw Sakura and Ino’s looks of disappointment when I didn’t invite them, however that soon changed to joy as I asked them the same question.

Shikamaru and Choji had already agreed so they couldn’t back out now or they’d look like assholes as Kami would say. Naruto was looking at me like I was an idiot.

I simply gave the blond a wink and a smirk. He realised I was planning something and so after school we all met up and made our way to our apartment. We soon arrived and walked in. It was quiet and Kami should be home from his mission by now, he should’ve got back this morning.

“Kami!” I shouted out into the quiet apartment. I turned to the two girls who were looking around the apartment in wonder. “I’ll introduce you to my big brother. He isn’t my actual brother but us three are basically family” I explained to Sakura and Ino as I gestured to Naruto.

Kami came stumbling out of the corridor, still dressed in his ninja outfit which had… stains of blood on it. He looked groggy like he had just woken up “what?” he said with an annoyed voice as he glared at me.

“Ummm Kami… I wanted you to meet some people… Maybe you should get changed first” I said gesturing at his clothes, Kami glanced down at his outfit before looking back at us not seeming to understand before he gained a look of realisation as he dashed back down the corridor “I’m having a shower!” I heard him shout.

“Sorry about that” I said to Shikamaru, Choji, Sakura and Ino. The blood didn’t bother me and Naruto since we had seen a lot of it in training. But those four hadn’t seen much blood yet so they were obviously surprised.

I guided everyone to sit down and we all sat in silence, awkwardness filled the air.

ABout 5 minutes before Kami came walking back down dressed in a white t-shirt and some black trousers. His messy red hair was still a bit wet. He had his dirty clothes and his bedding in his arms.

He put it in the basket off to the side to wash later as he moved to the kitchen “sorry about that, my mission was quite tiring” he said with a kind and bright smile “anyone want anything to drink?” he asked.

“Coffee” me and Naruto both said. I then moved my gaze to Sakura and Ino who both looked confused at Kami’s words. Time to enact my plan.

Kami Uzumaki’s POV

I quickly made some drinks. Naurto and Sasuke wanted coffee as usual, Shika wanted some tea and Choji didn’t want anything, Sakura and Ino just seemed confused.

“Isn’t he the dropout?” Ino asked as she looked at me questioningly as I sat down. I raised an eyebrow as Naruto seemed to get offended on my behalf.

“No! He graduated!” Naruto, annoyance permeating his tone as he glared at the two girls. Obviously he already didn’t like them, so he made sure to fix Sasuke a glare as well. Obviously Sasuke invited them for some reason and Naruto was unhappy about it.

Guess he didn’t have that crush on Sakura. I simply chuckled in amusement as I watched Naruto glare at the three children “calm down” I said to him with a smile.

I then turned to Sakura and Ino “I didn’t drop out, I graduated from the academy. The Hokage allowed me to after I had proved I was more than proficient enough to be a Genin” Sasuke smirked as I spoke.

His smirk disappeared after what I said next “Sasuke and Naruto have the practical skills to graduate as well but Naruto sucks at studying and so he doesn't have the theory knowledge. Sasuke could learn it and graduate by the end of the year but he’d never leave Naruto behind since he’s a good brother” I said with a smile.

Sasuke proceeded to glare at me as if I had ruined a plan of his. I realised why when the two girls looked at him with stars in their eyes. I soon realised what he had planned as I openly laughed at Sasuke’s glare.

He didn’t seem to appreciate that.

“That blood must have meant you fought someone right?” Naruto asked as he made punching motions in the air.

“Yeah, the caravan me and Gekko were escorting was ambushed by bandits. A jonin level ninja was in that group and we had to fight him” I said simply.

Every single one of them except Sasuke looked at me in surprise ”you fought a Jonin?” Naruto asked and I nodded.

“My Jonin Sensei, Gekko was with me but yes I did fight a Jonin and won” I said with a small smile. I probably shouldn’t have told them but I shrugged. Neither Hiruzen or Gekko told me not to.

“Anyway you added these two to your friend group?” I asked as I gestured to the two girls, who looked at Sasuke with hopeful looks.

Sasuke simply sighed as he looked at me “could I speak with you for a second in private?” he asked and I shrugged.

We soon left and went down the corridor to Sasuke’s room. He immediately closed the door and looked at me in annoyance. He wasn’t annoyed at me but at the situation.

“Kami can you just help me, no jokes or anything. Please I need advice” Sasuke said and I gestured for him to go on as I stood with a grin and with my arms crossed.

Sasuke let out a sigh “Those two girls just won’t leave me alone, at least the other girls in class respect my personal space” he seemed angry as he vented to me.

I let out a small laugh “you should be happy some girls are paying attention to you, it won’t always be like that” I seemed to hae made a mistake as he fixed a furious glare onto me “stop fucking joking around Kami! I need actual help not jokes” Sasuke said, raising his voice more than he had ever done. He was clearly pissed.

My grin disappeared, a slight smile on my face as I gave him a disappointed look “Sasuke what are you training to be?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.

“A Shinobi” He said simply, breathing heavily as he glared at me.

“Exactly, you are going to have your life threatened and you will end up having to take a life. Have you ever told these two girls you have no interest? Have you ever explained to them that they're being invasive? I assume you haven't, which means you are reinforcing their behaviour. Your actions are telling them that what they are doing is fine and that you have no issues with it” I said in a lecturing manner as I stared at him with a firm gaze, my grin gone.

“They are children, they don’t have the experience to see they are making you uncomfortable which means you have to tell them yourself, set the boundaries.” I said with a sigh before I walked to the door “I am trying to prepare you for a life where you have to make the decisions, those decisions could end up in death. I’m sorry if what I do causes you problems but you need to learn to sort these issues out on your own. I may not be there to help when you're on a mission” I said with a bit of sadness in my voice as I left his room.

I moved to my room, shutting and locking the door as I sat on my bed and meditated, trying to calm the storm of emotions. I shouldn’t be raising two kids. I hadn’t even gotten out of my teens and now I have to deal with worldwide threats and two children. This fucking sucks arse.

I was thankful as a distraction came up, I felt the seal on my stomach flare up. I immediately latched onto it with chakra and I soon found myself back in my subconscious.

This time I appeared in front of a massive gate. I looked up seeing Kurama waiting for me “that was quick” Kurama said as he looked down at me.

“I was already meditating and it would be lying if I said I wasn’t waiting to hear your decision” I said with a shrug as I stood up.

Kurama nodded “well here it is” he said with a long sigh.

“I want to help you but I need a promise in return” he said and I nodded, gesturing for him to go on.

“I’ll lend you my power, in return you must use it to kill Obito and Madara Uchiha. I want you to kill them with my power. If you released me, no matter what I would get captured by the Akatsuki even with my knowledge of them. I am safest inside you and I can make myself safer by aiding you. You can give me what I want and so I believe my best bet is to help you get as strong as possible.

If that results in us being friends or not then so be it” he said resolutely as he looked down at me.

My eyes moved to the seal on the cage but Kurama shook his head.

“I have weakened the seal enough for a decent amount of my chakra to get through so you can most likely enter version one but I highly recommend you don’t. My chakra affects the body and mind a lot more than the anime implies” he said.

“Also I believe I should notify you of something, in the show it was shown that all the Jinchuriki have the cloak that my Jinchuriki gets, however that is not the case. Every Jinchuriki has a sort of hybrid transformation more similar to the Kurama Chakra Cloak Mode. They gain abilities of their respective tailed beast” he said as I nodded in appreciation.

“So more similar to Shukaku’s mutation forms. Like when Gaara lost control in the Konoha Crush arc and Fuu’s wings, ” I said and Kurama nodded.

“How strong are they?” I asked.

“Very, much stronger than they were portrayed to be in the show or at least they have the potential to be. I imagine Yugito Nii and Killer Bee are much stronger than they previously were. They had training I believe but that training will amount to a lot more raw power” Kurama said.

I nodded in understanding “are they as strong as Naruto was when he could use the imperfect chakra cloak?” I asked.

“No, I am still the strongest tailed beast. That equates to my Jinchuriki being stronger. If my Yang half inside Naruto has the same relationship that they end up gaining then Naruto will be stronger than he previously was” Kurama said.

“Wait, so basically almost every Jinchuriki has been buffed?” I asked, confused.

“If you want to simplify it then yes they have. The Jinchuriki are truly weapons of mass destruction. They can wreak a lot of havoc just like us failed beasts can but they are taught to be afraid of that power and they should be. I would be trying to take over or corrupt your body if you hadn’t shown me those memories” he said with a toothy grin.

I grinned back “trust me I know” I said with a smirk up at the giant fox.

“In the spirit of cooperation I will allow you to call me by my name. I have more important things to worry about so my hatred of humanity can be put aside since I can now get revenge against those Uchiha” he growled out the last word with venom.

“Me having a Sharingan isn’t going to be a problem is it?” I asked with a suspicious look at the angry fox.

“Did you steal it?” He asked as he looked down at me, I shook my head.

He let out a scoff of annoyance “I would have liked it more if you had stolen it” he said.

“Well I do think it may be a good idea to steal Nagato’s Rinnegan, I could use them pretty well because of the immense stamina and chakra I have. I’d have to get used to them of course” I said with a shrug.

“Aren’t those Madara’s” Kurama asked and I nodded.

A grin spread across his face as a look of excitement fell on me “we are so doing that. Using his own Rinnegan and my power to kill him would be delicious” he said in a frankly terrifying tone of voice.

“Ummm you know in the war he is an Edo Tensei right? He can’t be killed” I said as I looked at the suddenly less enthusiastic Kurama.

“Well then you can humiliate him, beat him up and then kill his summoner” Kurama waving one of his paws dismissively as I chuckled at his expression.

“Shall we start now? I can go to the training grounds and we can start” I suggested as I crossed my arms, adjusting my standing position a bit.

“First we need to merge our chakra a bit, if the seal was down I’d be able to talk to you easily but the seal blocks me from communicating properly unless you actively pulled out my chakra,” Kurama said as he scratched his cheek with one of his claws.

“When you get to the real world, you should feel something exit the seal. Try to connect your chakra to it. Basically I’ll constantly funnel my chakra through the seal so you can connect to it and we can communicate then” he said and I nodded.

“See you soon then” I said with a small wave as I pulled myself out of my consciousness using the seal. Soon I felt something around where the seal was, I also noticed the seal had appeared on my stomach. I moved my chakra and connected it with the foreign chakra I felt.

“Hey Kid” I heard Kurama’s voice echo out in my mind “god that is weird” I said as I shook my head in discomfort.

“Yeah, it will take a bit to get used to. I imagine it’d be confusing to suddenly have a voice in your head” he said to me in his deep rumbling voice.

I quickly jumped up, not bothering to change into ninja gear. I jumped out of my window since I was pretty sure I could still hear the others in the kitchen. I ran across the rooftops going to training ground 32. You’d think one of the training grounds in the 40s would be the furthest but nope it was 32.

32 was the farthest from the village so it was rarely used. I didn’t really care if someone saw me using Kurama’s chakra but I wasn’t positive what the reaction would be. It would most likely be quite troublesome as Shikamaru would say.

With a healthy application of shunshin I quickly made my way to the training grounds. I took a quick look around and seeing I was alone I said “So Kurama, what now?” I asked as I stood with my arms crossed.

“I will push my chakra through the hole, It will be much more than I am doing now. I want you to control it and use it to enhance your muscles. You subconsciously use your chakra to empower your body, I want you to consciously use mine to the same effect. No cloak, keep it inside your body” He instructed and I nodded.

“Remember this is all about control” he said and I nodded again as I felt the stream of foreign chakra increase. I took hold of it and guided it with my own chakra, I slowly moved it along my chakra pathways letting it mingle with my own chakra. I closed my eyes and focused on moving it around my chakra pathways.

“Good” Kurama said, he went quiet and let me focus as I moved his chakra around my body. Soon it was all throughout my body, my chakra guided it around. My chakra reacted to my intent, helping me slowly move the foreign chakra through my body.

Kurama wasn’t supplying enough chakra to manifest a cloak, he was feeding my body the perfect amount of chakra to be able to infuse my entire body with it but not overwhelm it like a cloak would do.

I continued this for a while standing still as I moved the chakra around letting it and my chakra get familiar with each other. The foreign feeling slowly disappeared as time went on. It was still obviously not my chakra but it felt less and less invasive as time went on.

“Good, try using my chakra to power a Jutsu,” Kurama said, knocking me out of my trance. I opened my eyes to see it had been a few hours, the sun had moved through the sky quite a bit.

I nodded as I focused inwardly again. I shelved my chakra as best as I could. Kurama’s chakra reacted to my intent as it surged forth leaving my chakra behind as I went through hand signs.

“Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!” As I finished the hand seals, the blast of wind that came out of my lungs was much more powerful and potent than the Jutsu usually is. I’d have to overpower it to get the same effect with my own chakra.

I smirked in satisfaction. I hadn’t noticed but I had already entered the initial Jinchuriki form. The red haze of chakra surrounded my body and I raised a hand and pushed my finger against my front tooth, a small trickle of blood ran down my finger.

I had sharper canine teeth, small claws in place of my nails. I assumed my eyes were red and slitted and that the whisker marks on my cheeks were much more pronounced. I pulled a bit of my hair down to find it had grown a bit longer and much spikier.

I shrugged, it didn’t really bother me. I bounced on the spot a bit moving my limbs around “how do I pull in the chakra?” I asked.

“You were doing it earlier. You lost concentration when you used my chakra for a Jutsu. You simply have to stop my chakra from seeping out” Kurama said and I nodded. I focused and slowly pulled the chakra in. The physical changes were still there but the cloak was gone.

I then let it go as the red chakra started to emanate from me again. “With time you’ll get better at controlling it and internalising it will become second nature” Kurama said and I nodded.

“When should we try Version 1?” I asked and Kurama answered “when I believe you’re ready, it’s different from what you know. Those cloaks are unique to me. No other Jinchuriki have them” I nodded in understanding.

“That’s fine with me” I said as I stretched out my limbs “let’s test the initial form strength increase then” I said as I made 5 shadow clones using my own chakra before we spared.

The rest of the day was spent getting used to the strength increase from the initial form and improving my control of the chakra.

Kurama was quiet most of the time except when he decided to give me some tips, I had a feeling he was still thinking. I hadn’t expected this much of a change in his personality.

Kurama’s POV

As I watched the boy… no, the man currently experimenting with my chakra, I couldn’t help but feel anticipation.

Not because his use of my power was weakening the seal, not because I wanted him to be dependent on my power but because I felt a bit of excitement for the future.

Kami’s memories showed me a lot. If I just gained that knowledge then I doubted I would’ve been so cooperative. I may have just ignored him but I didn’t just watch those memories, I felt them, the emotions connected to them.

My justification for staying inside him was true. I saw the power of the Akatsuki. I am proud of my capabilities but I am not an idiot. The Akatsuki would capture me eventually.

I felt how Kami was sad for Naruto, how he just wanted to help the boy. He felt the same sadness for me as he learned my story, he wished he could help. He always wanted to do good things in his life, that’s what led to his death in his old world.

Feeling Kami’s sadness toward me and my past, it was obvious he would let me go if he could and if I asked. He wants me to be with him and he wants to use my power but he wouldn't be able to stop himself from releasing me.

I am safest with Kami, he knows a lot and his path to power will be filled with danger but when he completes it, he will be a force to be reckoned with. I can feel the boy's conviction now that we are linked.

He wants to save the world, he wants to save Sasuke, Naruto, Me, Hiruzen. He wants to save everyone he likes from the show. He cares for all of those people and they don’t even know who he is.

Kami Uzumaki’s POV

I was walking home, hands in my pockets as I walked, as usual I had a lot on my mind. Most of the time my thoughts were taken up by the future. I had to make sure I remembered all of the Akatsuki abilities.

I let out a deep sigh as I walked, deep in thought. I hadn’t noticed when someone turned a corner. We walked into each other, I stumbled back slightly as I stopped myself from falling back. ‘

The other person fell flat on their buts, they had been running. I looked down in confusion as I saw Hinata Hyuuga, she had run right into me. I held out my hand as I smiled at her “hey, you okay?” I asked.

She shyly took my hand as she stood to her feet using my hand as leverage. She shyly nodded before seemingly remembering something as I saw someone turn the corner. I grabbed Hinata and used shunshin to jump to a nearby roof.

She fell to the roof as she just managed to stop herself from throwing up. I saw two boys run around the corner as they glared at the spot where we just were, surprised no one was there.

It was Naruto and Sasuke “I swear someone was watching us!” Sasuke said in annoyance as he glanced around. Hinata had moved to the edge of the building as she looked down at Naruto.

“So why are you running from my brother? I remember seeing you at the academy” I asked as I glanced at her. She shyly stood up and brushed off her clothes, the roof was a bit dirty.

“I-I… Ummmm” she shyly muttered, unable to get the words out. I simply chuckled as I saw Sasuke enable his Sharingan.

“Oh shit we gotta go” I immediately grabbed her in a princess carry as i ran and jumped across the roof “there!” I heard Sasuke shout as I ran. It was a bit dark by now, the sun was starting to set and I was wearing my cloak so they wouldn’t recognise me.

I easily lost them, I dropped down from the roof as I put Hinata down “sorry about that” I said apologetically.

“It’s f-fine” she whispered. I nodded and then fixed a stare on her “so why are you running from my brother?” I asked suspiciously.

I raised an eyebrow as she looked at the ground shyly. “Sasuke said he saw you watching them. Were you stalking them or something?” I said. She flinched slightly and I let out a small laugh.

I waved her off as she looked at me I shook “don’t worry about it, I won’t tell him. It's obvious you like him, I’ve seen you looking at him at the academy. I was only there for 2 weeks but you’re not really subtle” I said with a chuckle.

“It’s pretty late, I can walk you home if you want, I’m a Genin so moving around this late isn’t a problem for me” I offered as I smiled at her.

“Y-Yes please” she whispered and I nodded as I gestured for her to lead the way. I hadn’t taken us too far. I knew she lived at the Hyuuga compound so I had fled in that direction.

As we walked I knew she wanted to ask me something, she kept fidgeting. “Just ask me” I said with a quiet chuckle “You can ask me anything” I said as I glanced at her.

She glanced at me before staring at the ground as she walked slightly ahead of me “ummm” she mumbled before she nodded slightly and stopped before looking at me with a bit more determination.

I stopped as well as I gave her a questioning look.

“H-How could I-I get-” she cut herself off there suddenly, a lot more shy as she looked at the ground but she seemed to force it out.

“His a-attention” she whispered as she held her hands together in front of her, shyly looking down at them.

I chuckled, “Naruto is brave, loud and brash. He is also oblivious. If you want him to realise your feelings, it’ll be hard for him to realise how you feel if you try to be subtle. If you just want his attention, if you want to just be friends for now, that’s easy, "I said as I looked at her.

She looked up at me with hope on her face, a small smile on it as well.

I chuckled “Naruto is a nice kid, he is always happy to make friends, he didn’t actively seek them out before but now he’d love to have more friends. Your best bet is to join their friend group. I know currently Shikamaru, Choji, Sasuke and Naruto are a friend group at the minute but two girls, Ino and Sakura may be joining. If you’d like I can introduce you so you can get your foot in the door so to speak” I said with a small smile.

Hinata nodded happily “first I want you to try and join their friend group on your own. Sasuke and Naruto are both nice so they will happily let you join, you just have to ask” I said with a small smile, she suddenly looked a lot less enthusiastic.

“O-Okay” she nodded as we went back to walking. We soon arrived at the Hyuuga Compound, she walked in giving me a shy wave as she left.

I turned and used shunshin to get to my house fast. I got home to find Sasuke and Naruto were still out so I checked on Shisui’s Eye. Everything seemed good with it. I had to get stronger so I could find someone to implant it.

My only option that I knew of was Tsunade. I didn’t feel I could trust a black market doctor to do so. Maybe I could pressure them not to do anything bad with shadow clones but I didn’t want to risk it.

I had already decided what I wanted to do. I would attempt to convince Tsunade, if she refused then I’d have no choice but to find some random guy.

Granted I could just ask Hiruzen and maybe he would be fine with it if I told him where it came from but my paranoia is getting the best of me. Some changes are already happening this early and that scares me. At least with Tsunade I know she is grief stricken and gambling, her fear of blood may be a challenge to get past but I know her well.

I am not sure how I can convince her but I must.

I shrugged as I put the eye back into its place. I’ll figure it out, hopefully anyway.

I laid down on my bed with a sigh as I shut my eyes, drifting off to sleep. I remembered something as well. Chakra Sensing. I knew the reason Minato could use the Hiraishin was because of his Chakra Sensing.

It’s a powerful skill to have in your repertoire. I also knew it was partially genetical. I had decided to try learning how to sense chakra as well.
