The first 2 months of training with Tsuande was mostly learning theory with some Chakra Control exercises on the side. I continued doing missions with Gekko since I needed the money and we could work together very well by now.

Today however was different from the norm, Tsunade had said she had an important meeting today and that lessons wouldn’t be on but that she wanted me to come to the Hokage Tower at noon.

I was currently on my way there. It was a Tuesday so Naruto and Sasuke were at the academy. I had gone and helped in their group training sessions every now and then. They were definitely getting better.

I had no idea what to do about that group, I didn’t know how I could help them, I wasn’t a teacher after all.

I put the thought out of my mind as I entered the Hokage Tower, the receptionist led me to a room and gestured for me to enter. I hadn’t been here before.

As I entered I looked around before shutting the door behind me. I had gotten used to the forehead protector being over my left eye by now so it wasn’t an issue.

I seemed to be in a meeting room. In it gathered 6 people, all of them I recognised. They all turned to me as I entered and I greeted “hey” I said with a casual wave as I sat down at the table.

At the other end of the oval table were Tsunade and Hiruzen. Then on each side were Kakashi, Guy, Yagura and Jiraiya. I was a bit surprised to see Jiraiya but I didn’t show it other than giving him a curious look since I had never met him.

“Ah Kami, perfect timing” Tsunade said with a smile and a nod “we had just gotten to the part of this meeting that required your involvement”.

“First introductions are in order. You obviously know me and Hiruzen” Tsunade said and I nodded. She then gestured to Yagura, Kakashi, and Guy each of them giving me their own greeting “you have met these three before, to remind you. Yagura Karatachi, a Jinchuriki just like you. Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy” she said.

I nodded as I gave each one a nod then my eyes landed on Jiraiya “and this is Jiraiya, another one of the Sannin and an old friend” Tsunade introduced, the man gave me a simple nod seemingly a lot more serious than usual.

“So what is this about? It must be pretty important since there are so many big names in this room” I said as I raised an eyebrow “and why the hell am I here?” I was quite confused, I had no idea why I was here, yea I was getting stronger but I had a long way to go before I could go toe to toe with anyone in this room.

“Whilst your power level pales in comparison to most people in this room, your importance is just as great. You’re a Jinchuriki and one who has gained the cooperation of the strongest tailed beast. Me and Hiruzen have deemed you to be trustworthy enough to divulge this information so we trust you to keep it to yourself” Tsunade said, giving me a stern look. I simply smiled at her with a firm nod.

“Soon Konoha is going to send an elite strike force this year to help a growing resistance within Kirigakure who intend to fight back against the fake Yagura’s reign. Before that happens Yagura has decided we need to do something about the Akatsuki first which is where you come in.

We know too little about their power but we do know what they are after. The Tailed Beasts. Which means every Jinchuriki is currently at risk. Yagura has proposed a mission. Himself, you, and Jiraiya will go and find four Jinchuriki. Konoha’s spy network has gathered information on their potential wearbouts.

These Jinchuuriki are out in the wild and at risk. All other Jinchuriki are currently safe in a Hidden Village.

The easiest one to find is Fu, a Kunoichi of Taigakure and the Jinchuriki of the seven tails. She is the one with the highest risk of being captured or killed. She isn’t as strong as the other three and very easy to locate.

The hardest to find would be Utakata since he is a trained shinobi and a missing nin who defected because of how the faker is running Kirigakure. The next two are Han and Roshi. Both Iwa Shinobi. Both are talented Ninja and we believe them to be roaming around for some reason.

They were last seen together but that information is severely outdated. We don’t really have to recruit Han or Roshi, if that avenue is unavailable then simply convince them to return to their own village” Tsunade finished. Yagura continued as he turned to me.

“I believe the safest place for these Jinchuriki is here in Konoha. It would be kept a secret they were Jinchuriki of course. The other villages would go haywire if they found out Konoha had so many Jinchuriki. I believe us Jinchuriki should stick together.

I have a very good feeling we two could convince Fu and Utakata to come to Konoha but Roshi and Han are a different story and I doubt we could convince them. The other Jinchuriki are in Sunagakure and in Kumogakure and we stand no chance of convincing them.

You have managed to gain the cooperation of your tailed beast at such a young age, I believe with your help we could convince these four Jinchuriki of the threat the Akatsuki pose and together we could form a team. A team of Jinchuriki to fight against the Akatsuki.

With me, you, your brother, Fu, Utakata, Han, and Roshi. We would be a force to be reckoned with and I believe the Akatsuki would have a much harder time stealing the Tailed beasts and killing us if everyone was located in a hidden village.” Yagura said with a lot of passion as he smiled at me.

He seemed to truly care about Jinchuriki. His eyes were filled with determination as he stared at me. This wasn’t an order, Tsunade and Hiruzen weren’t ordering me to go. They were asking, I could tell by their tones.

I thought about it for a while. The Akatsuki seem to be a lot more active than they should be at this point in time. This resistance in Kiri as well. A lot was happening and the Konoha 11 hadn’t even graduated yet.

I crossed my arms as I leaned forward on the table going deep in thought. The Akatsuki are obviously something different to what they were in the show. I think it’s a good assumption that Itachi may be feeding Konoha info.

I was unsure though, they could just not be telling me everything since I haven’t agreed to go but even with all of the danger I knew what my answer would be so I decided to just stop stalling.

“Yes I’ll come along with you” I said to Yagura who’s face lit up as he nodded at me.

“The mission begins in 3 weeks, a week before Tsuande becomes Hokage” Yagura said as he looked back at Tsunade.

“That is all Kami, I believe having a decent medic-nin on the team would be good so in the next 2 weeks we will be upping your training. The last week before you leave Hiruzen wished to spend time with you ” Tsunade said and I nodded to both of them before I was dismissed.

I left quickly as I pondered on what was said. It was interesting to say the least. As I soon began making my way home, my hands on the back of my head, my fingers interlocked and eyes closed.

I let out a sigh as I walked through the busy streets of Konoha. I had started doing this as training, in particular sensory training. My chakra sensing skills were much better than they used to be and I had made great progress.

Anyway, back to the Akatsuki. Yagura’s plan was fantastic to say the least. Having a team of Jinchuriki would be a massive weapon to use against the Akatsuki especially since Jinchurikii seemed to be much stronger. And yet Yagura didn’t beat any of those Akatsuki members in Tanzaku.

“You're Not that dumb right? He was obviously holding back greatly. I've told you Jinchuriki are stronger but also that they are weapons of mass destruction. Yagura had to hold back otherwise he would’ve destroyed an incredibly populated city” Kurama said in my head and I nodded.

Well a team of these Jinchuriki even if we can only get Fu and Utakata to come to Konoha, having 5 guaranteed Jinchuriki to use would be immense. Granted Naruto is unreliable as one considering it took him awhile to gain Kurama’s cooperation.

I am hoping I'll be able to help in that regard. Sasuke used the Sharingan to go into Naruto’s mindscape and suppress the Kyuubi so why couldn’t I use it to get into his head as well.

I obviously needed to stop holding back. I was taking my time with many things simply because I was afraid of the repercussions. I was hesitant to use my knowledge in case people discovered what I was doing and asked how I knew of them.

But I decided to say fuck it, i’d just have to be strong enough for it to not be an issue. So it was time to finally start wind nature chakra training. I needed that Rasenshuriken, a Jutsu capable of tearing someone apart to the point where they can’t mould chakra. It’s a ridiculously powerful Jutsu.

That isn’t even taking into account what I'd be able to do with mastery over the wind element. I knew I definitely wanted to acquire multiple elements and master them similar to Hiruzen. I knew which one I wanted next. Lightning of course. It was just cool.

I smiled to myself as I made my way to a training ground instead. I needed to start properly training in Fuinjutsu as well. I have learned enough to be able to make and use storage seals properly but I have much more to learn.

I finally made my way to the training ground. This was just one of the ones I usually had my clones practising on.

I immediately made about 10 clones and sent them off to get started on wind nature chakra training. I knew how to train thanks to the anime so I was good on that front.

As the 10 clones ran off I made another 5 and lifted my hitai-ate to its proper position. This was the last time I’d be covering my eye.

I could definitely have the Sharingan active and use it constantly without much of an issue now so it was time to finally start using the Mangekyo Sharingan. I am going to need it in the upcoming years.

The 5 clones spread out and surrounded me, their Sharingan blazing as they stared at me. I started feeding more chakra into the constant stream the Sharingan always pulled from me.

Slowly I felt and saw a change. I pushed more and more chakra into my left eye and slowly my vision became even better and my eyes widened in shock.

“How the hell did Kakashi use this so much!” I said to myself in shock. The drain on my chakra was immense, I had a feeling the mental fatigue wouldn’t be the issue with this one.

“Alright whatever, all I can do is just make its uses count” I shrugged and crouched down low as I smirked at my clones.

They were all smirking at me with excitement in their eyes, their vision fixed on my left eye. I smirked right back before they ran at me.

The Sharingan was already amazing when used in a fight, I could see things differently. I was looking at the world with a new lens.

The MS just made that lens even more detailed. This wasn’t about me winning a spar, this was about getting used to the Mangekyo.

So as my clone's foot sailed towards my face in slow motion I pivoted to the side dodging the kick before I bent forwards allowing a punch to sail across the air above me.

I then quickly dived forward and away from the group. They recovered, turned and ran at me.

We continued this all day and by the time night came I had a pounding headache. My regular Sharingan was on now. It didn’t really help the headache much but I needed to get used to it.

For once I actually felt like I had used a lot of chakra as well. You do have to remember I split my chakra a lot then and it was constantly being drained by the MS.

If just using the MS like that drained so much chakra I can’t imagine how much Kotoamatsukami would drain.

Thank god I had an ungodly amount of chakra to pull on. Even my own reserves were massive compared to even Kage level Ninja. Naruto’s were even greater in size.

Kurama really was telling the truth when it came to Jinchūriki. I knew Jiraiya was coming with me and Yagura on this mission. I am not good enough at Fūinjutsu to fuck with the work of Minato Namikaze so I need that key.

I was unsure if the key that Minato put on that toad would actually help but there wasn’t really any harm in trying.

I sent a clone home and decided to do some physical training. I was going to go set out and try to find some weights that I could wear similar to Rock Lee’s weights.

I had a ridiculous amount of stamina and so it would take a lot for me to get tired and to actually feel a workout.

I got most of my physical exercise from sparring with Gekko and my clones or at least I did. That training had slowed down a lot because of Tsunade’s Teaching.

It meant I hadn't grown much in physical strength over these months. Granted I had grown a lot in other ways. I now knew the best places to focus on hitting to immobilise or outright kill my opponents.

I knew where best to target in a fight and how to properly apply first aid to myself or others. Granted I was most likely going to be learning the mystical palm jutsu in these two weeks.

It took Sakura about 3 months and that was a prodigious speed. It would take me a lot less because I had the hax known as the Shadow Clone Technique.

I don’t care about the output the Rasengan can give me or the power that Koto gives or the power I can get from Kurama. My best Jutsu and most useful ability is my Shadow Clones.

Granted Kurama allows me to use the Jutsu a lot more effectively but that’s besides the point. The Shadow Clone Technique is so useful and infuriates me that it was so underutilised in the show.

Hell the version I was using was worse than the one in the anime considering the amount of mental fatigue it causes me. Naruto made more than a hundred clones in his first time using it in battle.

I’ve only just begun to reach that number and I’ve been using it for years. Naruto will most likely have the same problem as I have but maybe his Ashura bullshit will help or something. I had no idea if that would be the case or not but I hoped it wouldn’t.

If he didn’t have to deal with the whole mental aspect then he could start making proper use of the Jutsu much sooner than even I did. I doubted that would be the case though since I see no reason why his whole Ashura deal would help.

I soon made my way home, I was sweating so I went to go straight to the shower but I was stopped as I noticed Tsunade and Hiruzen sat at the kitchen table. They had drinks so I assume Sasuke and Naruto served them. I didn’t sense them though.

My senses still needed work but Naruto was a blinding light even to my senses so it wasn’t that hard to tell if he was around or not.

I moved over “where are Naruto and Sasuke?” I asked as I sat down across from them.

“They went out for some late night training. Seemingly they don’t want to be left behind by you. At this rate they are going to be Chunin level by the time they leave the Academy” Hiruzen said with a small chuckle.

I let out a sigh as I leaned forward “Where’s my clone?” I asked as I remembered I sent one home but didn’t have any memories.

“He went with” Hiruzen said and I nodded in understanding. “What can I do for you two then?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Well we wished to discuss something with you” Tsunade said “ You have more than enough achievements and power for us to promote you to Chunin” she said.

I frowned “what about the exams? I thought you had to take them to get promoted” I asked confused.

“No, they aren’t necessary. I won’t lie, you are a special case Kami. Most would use the Chunin Exams to show off to their Kage and show they are ready to be promoted but you have done so on multiple occasions. In the end the choice of promotion is up to the Kage” Tsunade explained.

“But there is more dear boy” Hiruzen said “we want to promote you to Chunin is these next few weeks so after your mission with Yagura and Jiraiya we can promote you to Tokubetsu Jonin if of course you don’t do absolutely terribly on the mission but I doubt that” Hirzuen said with a small smile.

“You don’t meet the requirements to be promoted to Jonin but training with me will easily allow you to reach that goal and so you’ll most likely be a Jonin within a year or two” Hiruzen said with a smile.

I narrowed my eyes at their words “now… I don’t have any reason to say no but what I do want to know is why you seem so set on making me a Jonin as soon as possible?” I asked suspiciously with narrowed eyes.

Don’t get me wrong this was absolutely perfect for me but something just rubbed me the wrong way. They had an ulterior motive and I wanted to know what it was.

Hiruzen grinned at me whilst Tsunade smirked at me. Both of their looks unnerved me greatly.

“Before we tell you Kami, you should remember that you don’t have to go along with this. We will still get you to Jonin as fast as possible since you would be a much greater asset to the village at that rank but you can say no to this request” Hiruzen said seemingly trying to ready me for a bombshell they were about to drop on my poor poor mind.

I somehow narrowed my eyes even further. Tsunade laughed at my expression.

Hiruzen gave Tsunade a questioning look but she gestured for him to go on. I turned my attention to Hiruzen.

“We intend to nominate you for the position of Sixth Hokage in a few years or at least we want to” Hiruzen said simply… Almost casually like it wasn’t a big deal.

My face told him it was almost definitely a big deal. I gaped openly at him as if he had just showed me proof God existed or something.

“The fuck?” I whispered with a shocked expression. Tsuande proceeded to laugh out loud at my expression “hah hah! You know old man I agree now this was totally worth it!” she said with obvious mirth.

I fixed her a glare of annoyance before I gave her a questioning look, she seemed to know my question before I even asked it.

“I ain’t built for Hokage brat. Main reason I accepted was because Hiruzen said he wanted to train you to become the Sixth. I’m here out of necessity not because I want to be Hokage” Tsunade said with a small smile.

I shrugged “why me though?” I asked with genuine curiosity.

“That is an easy question to answer. You will easily reach the power level required with training from me and from Tsunade. You’ll be an incredible ninja capable of holding a battlefield on your shoulders with Medical Ninjutsu, Clones and the Ninjutsu I'll give you. With Kurama’s power you’ll be even more terrifying to fight” Hiruzen said.

“And you’ll most likely be on the frontlines against the Akatsuki so you’ll have the mission record to show for it. And don’t forget about your Mangekyo. And that’s not even accounting for other abilities you’ll almost definitely gain” Hiruzen said as he took a sip of his tea.

He continued soon after “You have the personality. You’ve shown you can protect people with your life. I know there may be no love lost between you and the civilian population for their treatment of you and your brother but I imagine they will soon be happy they have you to protect them.

I believe the Shinobi population will look up to you once you prove yourself and when the Akatsuki come knocking, I’m sure the Civilians will soon follow” Hiruzen said. His expression barely changed as he spoke as if speaking facts.

I let out a sigh. Maybe it was self esteem issues after my recent… problem. I didn’t believe I was cut out for it. I didn’t care about life like Naruto. Naruto wanted to be Hokage to make people acknowledge him.

In this world he wants to be Hokage so he can make sure no one has to deal with what he and I went through.

“What are you thinking about?” Hirzuen obviously saw my troubled expression.

“I ain’t cut out for being Hokage. I’m sorry to say but I don’t care about most inhabitants of this village. I care about you, Tsunade, Gekko, Naruto and Sasuke and that’s about it. I don’t have the same compassion you and Naruto have.

I also want to take the fight to the Akatsuki. I can't be sitting around attending meetings or crap like that when I could be doing so much more.” I said with a sigh “I’m sorry but I have to say no” I said as I looked down at the table slightly.

“Kami we’ve already said you can say no but let me ask you a question first” Hiruzen said, I looked up at him with a questioning glance.

“Do you really think you’d be a bad Hokage?” Hiruzen asked. He then got up “thank you for the tea Kami. We have work unfortunately. Please think about what I said. Again we will still make you a Jonin as fast as possible but please do think about the offer” Hiruzen said as he walked over to the door.

Tsunade downed the rest of her drink as she got up and walked over to me placing a hand on my shoulder “you aren’t as heartless as you think. You saved my life after all” she gave me a cheeky grin as she patted my shoulder “lessons are at the same place and same time tomorrow” she said before she left with Hiruzen.

I didn’t move as I heard the door shut. As soon as I heard it close I Immediately slumped down in my chair as I rubbed my face groaning in annoyance.

“You realise the opportunity you’ve been given right?” Kurama asked in my head and I let out an even more annoyed groan.

“Why couldn’t it be more simple?!” I shouted in annoyance as I got up and started pacing back and forth.

“I should just be ablet to get stronger and then kick the shit out of the Akatsuki, Madara and fucking Obtio!” I said as I paced faster.

“Oh please, you honestly think it’d be that easy?” Kurama asked sarcastically and I glared at a random wall in response.

“You have just been given the best tool you could’ve gotten in the fight against them. Your whole goal is to defeat the Akatsuki and stop Zetsu before he can revive Kaguya. That is your goal. There isn’t any plot armour in this world so Naruto and Sasuke could die so you want to stop the whole plan before it can be completed” Kurama said.

I groaned “I know, but being Hokage-” I was cut off at that moment as the door swung open and I was promptly tackled to the ground by a blond haired blur.

I immediately cursed in my mind as I saw Naruto’s hopeful eyes looking up at me.

“Being Hokage?” Sasuke quoted from behind him as he gave me a questioning look.

“Oh for fucks sake” I said in annoyance. They could obviously see I was hesitant to say anything so Naruto started prodding me in the ribs. He was still laying on top of me.

I gritted my teeth as I glared at him but he upped the annoying factor “poke” he said before poking me “poke” again “poke” and again “pokey poke poke” he poked me three times “pok-” I shoved him off me “alright fine!” I shouted as I glared at them.

I got up and moved to the table as I picked up Tsunade’s and Hiruzen’s cups and started cleaning them in the sink.

“Hiruzen and Tsunade want me to be the Sixth Hokage. They intend to promote me to Chunin in the next few weeks and then after my mission they want to promote me to Tokubetsu Jonin” I said. I turned around as I finished washing the cups, I came face to face with Naruto as I dried my hands with a towel. I simply blinked in confusion as he placed both his hands on my shoulder and gave me the most intense stare I had ever seen.

“You’re gonna be Hokage '' he stated as if it was fact “but-” he cut me off as he put his hand over my mouth.

“No no no” he said as he shook his head. Sasuke came up behind him, giving me a grin as he put a hand on Naruto’s back. I thought he was gonna help but he simply nodded agreeing with Naruto.

“You’re gonna be Hokage and you’re gonna be the best one that has ever lived because I'm going to be a better and stronger Hokage than you could ever be,” Naruto stated as if in fact.

“Well he means me but whatever” Sasuke said with a smirk at Naruto who glared at him.

I had no time to figure out why Sasuke was now set on being Hokage because Naruto had turned back to me “understand?” he said and I gave him a flat look.

“Good” he said as he moved his hands away from me “but I didn’t even ag-” I was cut off as Naruto’s hand covered my mouth again “good” he said as he gave me a challenging look.

I had enough so I simply moved to the side, grabbing his arm as I threw him over my shoulder and onto the wooden floor below us “fine you little asshole, you’re not gonna be Hokage until you can prove to me you’re good enough for it. I’m gonna block that position until I think you’re worthy. That goes for both of you” I said with a grin.

Naruto got up and put out his hand. I simply glanced at it “it’s a deal?” Naruto questioned. I smirked and shook his hand. Sasuke held his out as well and I shook it.

Whilst still holding Sasuke’s hand I asked “when did this happen?” I asked.

“I want to change the village. I’ve seen how you two are treated, I've seen the darker sides of the village and I want to change that. I want it to be a safe place for all who live there and I want to make sure that nothing like my clan can happen again” he said and I nodded in understanding.

“Then I look forward to seeing how you all do in the future” I said with a smile.

The boys soon started talking animatedly as I finally made my way to the shower. I quickly undressed and got under the spray of water as I let out a sigh of relief.

It was annoying to admit but there were very few people who could be Hokage at this period of time. Hiruzen was obviously the best choice but with his age, his power will soon waver when compared to some members of the Akatsuki.

Tsunade is an incredible shinobi but her talents are best used in training new medic nin, the hospital or the frontlines.

Honestly the main issue I have with the position is my age. If things go a similar way they did in canon then some of our strongest ninja could die in the next few years.

If Hiruzen and Tsunade die fighting Orochimaru or get heavily injured then the Hokage position would basically be thrust into my lap. They’ll most likely announce to most people that they’ll be training me for the position.

I imagine when Hiruzen takes over my training, he’ll also teach me about being Hokage.

In the end this is the best outcome. I would gain a massive amount of authority and using that authority and my knowledge I could guide Konoha to an incredible position of power. I could get rid of Danzo and get Shisui’s second eye as well.

I could probably get training from some others as well, maybe convince Gai to train me in the gates.

I let out a sigh as I leaned under the shower spray running my hands through my hair as I rubbed out the shampoo I had put into it.

I had to get stronger. I had to push myself further than I ever have before.

“Maybe you should stop thinking that and actually do it?” Kurama said in a dry tone.

I glared at the wall “asshole” the fox simply burst into laughter.
