Untold stories

When I wake up, I find myself in a luxurious bed within an equally luxurious room.

Did I reincarnate in some historical novel or something?? I do feel disoriented. I sit up to access my situation.

Wait, the room has a modern design. No way I am in a novel. And I fully come back to reality, when I see the idiots who happen to be my friends.

They are all asleep while leaning on my bed except Deva. Deva is sitting on a chair facing my bed.

I hear Deva's voice "Oh you finally woke up, you were passed out for the longest" Deva pauses before adding "thankfully it actually didn't kill you"

"Glad to be alive" I reply, Deva hums in response.

"Anyways where are we ?" I question her

"In a room provided by whoever runs the trials" Deva responds.

"Why are we here? Is this the third trial?" I question her once more, though a bit louder than before

She hushes me before talking "whisper, idiot; the others are sleeping. They were worried sick about you, and were causing chaos till they all got tired and finally slept"

" Were you worried?" I cheekily ask her

"Of course I was, that's why I am awake. Didn't want you to wake up alone. Anyways for your previous question the third trial will begin in three days. We will be competing with another group, that's why there is a three-day wait according to Bunny." Deva replies to me in a calm tone.

I hate competing with others.

"Does this room have a bathroom or something? I want to refresh myself" I ask Deva, while slowly getting off the bed

"The room has a bathroom, let me guide you to it. They also gave us a change of clothes to wear while in this room. We can give our current clothes for cleaning. Oh and we got some snacks for now, they said they would serve meals later"

I hum in response, and we walk in silence.

Deva breaks the silence before I enter the bathroom by asking "don't you want to know how I ruined your plan without your knowledge?"

"I do but, I want to refresh myself before that" I answer as I step into the bathroom.

~administrator's viewpoint (Xeno's perceptive)~

No matter how many times I review the second trial, I am still amazed on how the plan was executed. But I am more amazed on the characteristics of the psychiatrist and Deva.

Bunny is rubbing off on me, even I keep calling her the psychiatrist. Well it doesn't matter.

The so called psychiatrist planned to lower the debt and advance to the third trial alone, her way of playing the trial was stupid but seeing her was amazing. It was as if she knew everything but still decided to play stupid. She also has excellent leadership qualities and kept everyone calm. She formed a sense of safety for them, by saying she will take the debt. It allowed the others to play without worries.

But Deva is like her mirror, while she tried to reduce debt and keep everyone safe. Deva planned to get them all to the third trial. She executed her plan perfectly, that I had to rewatch the trial twice to understand how. These two work amazing together, even their personalities are opposites from what I observed. But I wonder how they will work when separated.

Now for the main part, Deva executed her plan using the paper slips, she wrote her entry on one slip and her plan on another. She carefully covered the slips with her body to ensure the cameras barely captured a glimpse of it. After coming out of the room, she discreetly passed the slip to the next person entering the room.

They exchanged the paper secretly the whole trial, and made sure the psychiatrist and Bunny saw nothing.

The whole plan was possible only when the psychiatrist went first. Then only they were able to avoid total suspicion from her. As she would move away from the room, to avoid blocking the way.

I don't think I would have seen such an amazing execution, if these two were separate. But will this team make it out the next trial, when the total debt will be announced and divided again. I hope they do.

~end of administrator's viewpoint~

Me and Deva discuss about how she went through with her plan. It was an understatement to say I was amazed. I was even more amazed at the fact she realised my plan so soon and made a counterplan for it quickly. Deva and I do truly compliment each other.

We then discuss about other matters, while snacking on some of the snacks. Like what to expect for the next trial.

In the middle of our discussion Deva asks a question that I wished she wouldn't ask, she asked "who among us has a debt here?, I know, you would have figured out who it is by now"

She also added that "I won't be mad with the person but I want to know"

I trust her very much so I decided to answer "It's Maria, she was the most out of character cause she knew that she is the reason we are here."

Deva replies " I see, I didn't notice her out of character"

I hope I made the right decision by telling Deva the truth

Thankfully our topic of discussion switched and I didn't have to give more reasons on why it's Maria. Truth to be told, I am worried on Safa's reaction mainly. Though she agreed with this game, I don't think she would like to know what happened in the first trial.

I decide to tell Deva my other reasons for trying to go to the third trial all alone. Such as the debt being recounted and divided as well as chances of our friendship breaking.

She quietly listens to my rambles just like our school days. I miss moments like this from my past.
