I thought the weird entries were over, but there was one more. In the next round, Deva submitted an entry stating she has a genetic disease called hemochromatosis. I knew her mom has diabetes, which was caused due to genetics, but I never heard of hemochromatosis in their family.

What the hell is hemochromatosis?? Is it something serious ?? Should I be worried for her ??

I don't feel worried or anything but I know I should be, since she is my best friend of 12 years.

I immediately questioned Deva and she simply stated that it didn't affect her life much, so she never had to mention it.

It bothers me, but it seems like she doesn't want to share any more details. So, I guess I just have to let it go, sadly.

The next few rounds didn’t have any strange entries. While there were some facts about my friends that I didn’t know before, none of them were as unusual as those two specific rounds.

Unfortunately, in one of the rounds, I only moved four steps, while Mahin moved five steps by sharing a family drama. I was surprised she mentioned the drama about her baby cousin being raised as her sister during highschool. Because it was such a sore topic for her at that time.

I wonder why she mentioned something like that. It did make climbing down a snake possible for her. But still is quite odd to me, she could have gotten five steps from sharing something else. Was she trying to guarantee five steps ?

Well, it doesn't matter anyway. It won't affect the outcome I want as long as I keep moving five steps by sharing intimate facts about myself.

Time flies by quick. We are about to enter the final round now, and I am just one step away from the finish line. Since I am so close, we all can submit blank sheets and advance one step. No one is one step away from a ladder so it's fine.

I know I will fail the next trial. This is a game to play with friends, if I enter the next trial alone it's evident that I would fail.

" Let's all enter blank sheets " I announce very loudly, since I am standing faraway from everyone.

I get thumbs up from everyone to show their agreement.

Once I put the blank sheet in, I suddenly feel a relief. Maybe it's the relief that my plan is finally becoming true, step by step. Failing the third trial and getting all the debt is the final step.

Once I step out of the room, Maria enters as the last person to enter the blank sheet.

Deva suddenly comes close to me and simply says "your plan is going to fail. I am not going to let it become true".

Deva truly does know me like the back of her hand. But I wonder how my plan will fail?

"So I guess you know, tell me what it is then" I reply back to her calmly in a whisper.

Deva sighs before replying in a very soft whisper "you plan on killing yourself to cancel the debts. I know the only reason you haven't killed yourself yet is because you don't have a reason to"

I only hum in response.

After all she is absolutely correct. I tried killing myself before but stopped because I didn't have a proper reason to. I was just tired of living my life.

It's funny how telling her about my suicide attempts is my biggest mistake and my greatest decision.

"Everyone go to your places" Bunny announces as soon as Maria enters the game board.

We all follow his command and move to our respective places.

"Well now, I know that everyone entered a blank sheet. The admin already informed me" Bunny informs us.

"Then it looks like Miss psychiatrist finishes the game all alone!" Bunny says in a happy tone.

Deva speaks, "Wait, I lied; I don’t have hemochromatosis. You can verify this in my medical records."

Mahin adds, "I’m not legally blind, either. That can be confirmed too"

Safa also admits, "I’m not married, that was a lie. You can verify that in my passport, which I carry in my bag"

Maria comments, "I don’t have a degree in psychology"

Bunny looks dumb founded by what just transpired in front of him.

I am just as puzzled as he is, I finally understand their plan. But how did they manage to discuss this without either Bunny or me noticing? The only time I wouldn’t hear whispering is when I am in the room, and Bunny would miss it while he’s in the room. But both of us can't be there together.

I am very confused. Did Deva tell others about my problem? I don't want them to know.

Bunny finally decides to speak "Okay let me just confirm with the admin whether they can confirm it."

We wait a few minutes, the minutes feel like eternity. I wish the admin wouldn't verify the lies. But it seems highly unlikely.

Bunny sighs before speaking, "The admin agreed and verified the information and decided that you all will advance one step beyond the psychiatrist. However, since the psychiatrist technically finished first and there’s no more space beyond the finish line. You will all be moved to the finish line as well."

All of them jump in joy, while I am still recovering from the shock.

"WE DID IT!" Safa screams

"I know right, I had some doubts" Mahin adds on.

"Okay now stop with the celebrations" Bunny speaks in an annoyed tone

Wait why is he wearing a gas mask suddenly.

"Wait why are you wearing a mask now?" Maria questions.

Bunny snickers before replying "Oh you see, a gas will be passed into the room to knock you guys out temporarily now"

Before I could fully register his words in mind. I feel myself losing consciousness and falling to my knees. I hear Deva calling my name in panic. This brings Déjà vu.

Once again I am first to lose my consciousness.
