I carefully listened to Cuddy explain the rules of the game, her voice is quite timid and is hard to hear compared to Bunny's.
The game we are playing is 'treasure hunt' and we will hide one of our belongings as the treasure in this forest. Each day we have to provide hints to the other team on what the treasure is or where we have hidden it. We all were also given phones, which we can use to contact our team members.
The twist to the regular treasure hunt game is that, here there will be a person to guard it, and they can tag people if they come near the treasure and those who get tagged can't try to find the treasure for the next 24 hours.
Cuddy informed that the guard has to stay 20 metre radius with the treasure, and the only time they don't have to be near it is when they take washroom breaks. But the washroom breaks have to be within 30 minutes.
There is water and food in the center of the forest and the other players should provide food to the guard. Thankfully washrooms are provided and they include baths, Cuddy told that she would show us where the ladies washroom is and Bunny would show the boys the gents washroom is.
Oh and the usual rule 'no violence is allowed' is also there. If I am being honest they considered this well.
But still this is quite the situation, the guard won't be able to even sleep or go to the washroom properly in this game. We could take turns watching at night but still it would be hard.
Bunny looks at us all before smugly saying "Why don't you guys interact before we start this game. It could maybe bring some twists to the game"
I give a face of slight disgust at his suggestion knowing he plans to achieve something with this.
Deva pinches my arm slightly, before tiptoeing to whisper in my ear to stop having a disgusted look on my face.
I guess my disgust was very obvious.
"Why don't we draw up an agreement" the smallest boy of the group speaks up
His hair is weird, who dyes their asymmetrical bob lavender?? But first of all who even gets such a bad asymmetrical bob??
"And what would that be?" Safa enquires while I still think about his weird hair.
"Let's make it so that we would only try to find the treasure 8am to 8pm, this gives time for the guard to rest and eat.
It also gives the other players time to rest."
I suddenly snap out of my thoughts about his bad hairstyle and reply "This is a good idea, why don't we let the hosts agree to keep our agreement in act. And why don't we have a punishment for the rule breakers?" I see Mahin nod at my recommendation.

I guess it's a good decision then. Having the hosts uphold the agreement would make it legitimate and not just a saying or a trick to fool us. The punishment would make sure that the agreement is followed as well.
"What would the punishment be?" The tallest boy from the other group asks.
He is very good looking compared to the other boy. His blonde hair is definitely dyed though.
"What about disqualification from this round?" Mahin responds.
An emo looking boy on the other side seems to agree with this by nodding his head.
But his teammate, a shy looking boy just flinches at the suggestion.
The reaction is reasonable, considering the riskiness of the suggestion. We currently don't have any ways of knowing the time so we have chances of breaking the rule unknowingly.
Maybe he flinched cause he thought this through?..... Maybe I am just overanalyzing everything now, due to the nature of my job.
Sadly I still don't have a good control on turning off my work mode.
"Then let's ask the hosts to announce whenever the search starts and ends. Just to avoid mistakes" The boy with the bad haircut replies.
I see the emo looking boy, nod his head to the suggestion again.
Me and my friends agree to the idea as well. Bunny also seems to agree.
But Cuddy looks tensed at our ideas "le-le-let me confirm-rm with the administrators just-t-t in case." Cuddy responds with a few stutters
Poor girl, I pity her. She seems quite new to this job.
On the other hand Bunny seems totally calm and uninterested at the way our conversation went. I guess that's a good sign.
"Well during the time they confirm with our contract, why don't we introduce ourselves" says a boy with thin black framed glasses.
"That's a good idea" Maria responds
Well to me it doesn't seem like a good idea, but I guess just sharing our names won't do much harm.
I will start, Maria says "My name is Maria, I am an architect, aged 27. Currently living in the UAE. And these guys are my best friends since the last year of middle school"
Mahin gives an audible slap to Maria's back.
We all should have known better before letting Maria speak first.
Maria seem confused at our expressions of .... Actually what do you call this expression, awkwardness?
Not sure of what it is, anyways she just seems confused at our reactions and hasn't realised why yet.
Maria is too gullible. How many times do we need to tell her to be cautious around strangers.
Then our team continues with the introductions after a short pause, but this time we just say our names.
The other team follows suit after us, the boy with the weird hairstyle introduces himself first as Jun, the boy with glasses introduces himself as Shin, the tall boy's name is kein, the emo looking boy who only nodded at suggestions, name is Ren and the shy boy's name is Yun.
These names when together sound like stage names rather than actual names. These guys do have the looks for a boyband of some sort.
I turn to look at Deva and it seems we both came to the same conclusion, it's kind of obvious to me that she would identify them as stage names. Cause in her teen years she used to be a big fan of boy pop bands, majorly kpop.
We both remain silent about it, there is no use in knowing their real names after all.
Since introduction are finished I decide to observe Cuddy. She seems to be talking for awhile now, a bit nervously at that. I see her nervousness morph into an expression of relief.
I hum to myself it looks like our 'contract' got approved.
She approaches us with a faint smile and says "the administrator has agreed to your suggestions. Now is there any questions ?"
Before any of us could say anything
"It seems as if there are no questions let's start the round then!" Bunny says with his hands raised in the air
Sometimes I hate Bunny and surprisingly this isn't a time I hate him. I just want to get over with this trial, as soon as possible.
I really hope this goes well.
