Chapter 1. Summer breeze
As I lay here on the asphalt looking up at the sky all that I can think about is how beautiful the sky is. Not the far off sirens or the pain I'm probably feeling after the nasty fall I just took, I just hope the bike is somewhat fine.
I heard an almost angelic voice say “It's not”. I tried to turn around and look where it came from but my body felt numb and my limbs weren't listening to me. Surprisingly it didn't really bother me as much as I thought it would. I was more interested in the voice I heard. I thought to myself that it was probably the blood loss or something like that that made me hear stuff.
“It's not silly, Thanks for the compliment by the way, don't really think I have heard that one before” I heard it again but a bit more playful this time. Once more I tried to look around, having not learned from my previous failure.
“That's not going to work '' This time when I heard the voice I couldnt mind getting a bit annoyed with not seeing where it came from. “Can't say I have gotten that reaction before, but let me help you” Before a new thought was starting to take form about that mysterious voice I could feel an almost soft breeze sweep over my body filling me with a comfortable feeling.
I laid there for some time before I tried to move again and this time it was working. It felt quite sluggish at first like right before you got out of bed. A bit awkwardly I stood up still feeling that comfortable feeling inside of me, sadly it was rapidly leaving me. As my thoughts started to clear up I started to look around me and what I saw shocked me. It didn't feel any different. I still had the hard ground beneath me and an irritating smell lingered in the air, probably from the gasoline on the ground I thought.
What shocked me was the complete silence around me. I could see the aftermath of my crash and the family car that I had to evade in the distance. I could see someone running towards me after some time he was right before me. It looked like he had no intention to stop though.
He treated me like I didn't exist and ran straight through me before I could react. Shocked, I turned around and once again I was taken back about what I saw. There I was lying on the ground. I had the same blond hair that I was not so fond of and the same clothes I wore that morning. “Strange isn't, seeing yourself like that”
Before I could reply to the voice I caught her in the corner of my eye. I was stunned, absolutely stunned. Never have I seen anybody so incredibly beautiful. She had perfectly golden skin coupled with a face that could even make women go weak in their legs. She had an youthful complexion but not enough to make her look immature coupled with straight blond hair that rested on her shoulders. But before I could leave her face with my eyes it felt like I was drawn to her eyes. She had almost golden eyes with a hint of green that gave the feeling of nobility. After being stuck on her eyes for what felt like an hour I let my eyes travel downwards as I did. I couldn't let go of the feeling that I had almost lost something that was a part of me. Her body gave off the feeling of purity and warmth. She had a simple white summer dress that showed a moderate amount of cleavage and went down to her ankles. It fit her perfectly. The white matched her tanned skin beautifully.

“Like what you see?” she asked with a smile. I smiled back and said. Of Course I do, who wouldn't want to look at such a beautiful woman. Her laugh was like bells that came with the wind. “Oh, such words coming from someone in your situation”. In my situation I asked myself?
Once again I start to look around, after having been captivated by her beauty for far too long. It was strange I could still feel the world around me like the wind and the surface beneath me, but the sound was still gone. Now I tried to speak with the man that now sat on his knees beside my body. Didn't know what I should have expected but I could hear my own voice but the man was oblivious to it. Even when I walked up to him and tried to place my hand on his shoulder I went through without any problems, it was like sticking your hand in water but with no resistance at all.
She still stood at the same place before with only her expression randomly changing. “This taking too long, you know if you were anybody different you would have been sent on your way without even seeing my face.” before I could answer she started to speak again “I'm going to have to stop you right there young man. I'm doing you a huge favour here by telling you this. I believe you're not as dumb that you can't figure out that you are dead." I'm dead, I thought, still a bit taken back from the whole situation. “Now young man, let's not get hung up on the details. Yes you're dead and I'm going to give you a choice and remember not many get one in this world or the others.
You can either choose eternal slumber and disappear to nothing, before you say anything no there is no after there just nothingness. Or the more lucrative option you can be sent to what we call the origin world, a world that experiences magical phenomena daily. A world where the stories of this one happen daily. So what do you say James” I didn't know what to say as the whole thing sounded like something that came out of a bad novel. But something inside of me stird when I heard her, a feeling of excitement filled my body. I think you already know what I would have chosen, right miss? I said. “You're quite right James but you are not strong enough to know my name. Names hold power James, remember that. Now this has gone on long enough and we need to hurry things along, there are already things watching us.”
I tried to look around me and figure out what she meant. As I did the world around me started to warp and twist and I was thrown backwards. I looked around me and now there was only white and some distance in front of me I could see something of a crack in the world. Through that crack I could see her smiling with what looked like pity. “Remember James it will be a while before we meet again and that it was you that made this choice, don't disappoint me I had to pay quite the price to be the one to send you off. I hope we meet again” Before I could register what she had said I lost consciousness.
Back at the sight of the crash.
You could still see the woman standing at the place of the accident. “You shouldn't have done and you know it Elizabeth” The world seemed to have shuddered when these words were uttered. The woman turned around and saw the world break apart more around the same hole James had been sent through and it was then a hand as big as James came through and started to rip apart the surroundings trying to make the hole bigger than it already was. The woman raised her hand while saying “Atlas you know you're not allowed to leave Fathers kingdom, and if you keep that up this plane will fold upon itself. And we can't have that can we” she said that without the hint of emotion she showed earlier when talking to James. Her raised hand started to exude an almost invisible power that twisted space when it went in the direction of the hole. “DON'T YOU DEAR LIZ YOU HAVE ALREADY GOON TO FAR” A flash of disdain appeared on her face as the world vibrated with enough force to almost tear it apart. As the woman's power reached the crack in reality it started to close even with the hand still trying to rip it apart. “Little Atlas, remember where you stand and don't ever call me Liz again” As the amount of power from her hand increased the hole started to close rapidly and as fast I came it disappeared leaving the remains of gargantuan fingers behind and the echo of a pained scream. “I'm sorry James it seems like the hard road that you would have had to pave just became harder. But i hope you don't falter and live up to my expectations, otherwise it would be quite boring” As her final words fell the world turned silent before the sound of the surrounding rushed in. Leaving the place behind like nothing had ever taken place.
