Chapter 12:
With the help of the dark priest, Oliver was back up on his feet. He looked around at his new army. Well…perhaps bodyguards was a better term for what he had. One giant bone lizard named Aurelian, one Dark priest named Dark priest, and lastly, a sword that could fly on its own.
“Sword of Darkness, come here” Oliver ordered. Then, in a moment, the dark weapon flew to Oliver. He grabbed hold of the sword in his hand and put it around his waist. “Very cool.” Oliver said.
“First order of business, Dark priest, shall I give you a name?” Oliver asked his new subordinate. He was quite thankful he had a talking minion now.
“Yes, my master!” The dark priest fell to the floor and kneeled to his master. The lizard looked intently at Oliver, almost as if he thought he was better than the Dark priest.
“I shall name you… um, Reinhard. You shall be known as Reinhard from now on.”
“Yes,” the dark priest stood up, “I shall be known as Reinhard, thank you, oh great master!” Reinhard said happily.
“Okay then, as your first task as Reinhard, I want you to kill the next boss.” Ordered Oliver.
“Understood!” Reinhard suddenly started to sprint off to the next boss. Either he knew exactly where the boss was, or Reinhard was just running in a random direction.
Oliver mounted Aurelian and they started to chase after Reinhard. Fresh corpses of monsters littered the ground as they chased Reinhard. The dark priest was killing them without even stopping. Rather quickly, Aurelian caught up to Reinhard, the priest wasn’t as fast of this great lizard after all.
After a few moments of running, Reinhard stopped suddenly in the hall. Aurelian and Oliver were just behind, walking so they didn’t outrun Reinhard.
“Reinhard, what's the issue?” Oliver asked.
“Nothing, I just thought you would want to use the corpse’s to add numbers to your army. So I waited. Oh, also the boss room is right here.” Reinhard said as he pointed to a door on the side of the hall.
“Well, impressive, I’m truly glad to have such a good tracker under me.” Oliver replied, as he dismounted Aurelian and proceeded to examine the door to the boss room. You wouldn't have seen it, unless you were looking for it. The door was flush to the wall and although it was more ornate, as usual, it would have blended in quite well. “I’m afraid I don’t have enough mana to make a useful minion. I used what I had earned during Aurelians fight to make you. Thankfully, you could heal me.”
“Yes, of course. If you’re ever injured, I shall be there to fix the damage.” Said Reinhard proudly.
“I’m glad to hear it. Now go kill that boss.” Oliver pointed to the door and smiled. Although you couldn’t see Reinhard's face, you could tell that he was smiling intently after Oliver's words.
“Yes, my master!” Reinhard opened the door and charged inside. Oliver waited inside the door, the battle was epic. All manner of colors lit up the room, screams could be heard from outside, and Reinhard laughed uncontrollably as he utterly destroyed, no, tormented the poor creature that was the boss of this room. Reinhard was much more powerful, 1500 mana had gone into making the dark priest. This second floor boss couldn’t hold a candle to Reinhard's dark power.

Minutes after Reinhard entered the boss room, he emerged victorious. In his arms was the corpse of the boss and the chest. Reinhard placed the items in front of Oliver and kneeled. “It is done my master.” Said Reinhard with crimson eyes fading to purple.
Oliver was surprised, he didn’t know what to say, the fight was practically over before it even started.
“Well done Reinhard.” Oliver said. His face still showed surprise at how fast the fight ended.
Oliver had Reinhard stand up and hold the chest in his hands. Oliver opened the chest and inside was a small bag and five bars of gold the size of an iphone. He then took the scroll and read.
Bag of Armor Talismans/Magic Item - Use the iron talismans in the bag to equip armor on allies, this armor doesn’t despawn. - Rare
Five Gold Bars - It’s gold, what else do you need to know?
“Nice bounty, the armor talismans look interesting, but this gold is troublesome.” Oliver said. He then asked Reinhard what the boss was. Reinhard replied and told him it was a Gargoyle. Obviously, the gargoyle didn’t have bones to make into a minion. Oliver had Reinhard and Aurelian search the halls for the most intact monsters. He needed someone to haul all this loot.
After a short while, Arulain returned with two mostly intact gnoll bodies, Reinhard returned with a fully intact kobald body. Oliver was quite pleased and checked his status to see how much mana he could use to summon new minions.

Unused Stat Points: 4
Mana: 1900/2000
Affinities: Earth, Water/Ice, Wind, Fire, and Bone
Bone Minions: 2 (King Bone Salamander)(Dark High Priest)
“Good, I've got plenty of mana!” Said Oliver cheeringly. He held out his hand to the three corpse’s and used one hundred for each minion. The gnolls and the kobold stood up, their skin and hair disappearing, bone wrapped around their bodies and now, Oliver had some workers.
“Kobald, since you're the most intact, you’ll be carrying that chest.” Oliver pointed at the chest beside him. He then put all of the pouches he had been carrying into the chest, picked it up, and gave it to the kobold. The chest was definitely heavy. But the kobold seemed to have little trouble carrying it.
Oliver then pulled up his Status once again. He saw something in it that wasn’t there before.
Status:
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Strength: 6 (Avg 10)
Agility: 4 (Avg 10)
Luck: 13
Unused Stat Points: 4
Mana: 1600/2000
Affinities: Earth, Water/Ice, Wind, Fire, and Bone
Bone Minions: 5 (King Bone Salamander)(Dark High Priest)
“Hm, I have four unused stat points, did I get those from the boss?” He thought, holding his hand to his chin and thinking. “Ah, let's try putting these into something.” Oliver was about to act, but then stopped. He wanted to increase his strength, but Luck seemed like it would be more useful. He didn’t need strength for himself, he had minions for that. “ I’ll put all four into Luck.” He said aloud. And as he said, the four unused points went into luck. “That should be more helpful.” Oliver thought.

Now that this problem was resolved, Oliver didn’t know what to do, should he go deeper, or return to the surface and have to face off against those people who had kidnapped him. He wanted revenge, and he wanted it now. The more he thought about that smug McCarthy’s face, the more he wanted to bash it in with his foot.
“Alright then, my minions, we're going up.”
