N sits beside Ash's bed while Elizabeth sits on the other side.

N: "What do you mean I'm dead?"

Elizabeth: "Well, couldn't you figure it out from coming out of the body bag?"

N: "Well that much I questioned, but how exactly did I supposedly die?"

flashback occurs.

Elizabeth: "It's just like I told Ashlyn when I arrived, all I found was the corpse of the omen that attacked you and all of you were unconscious...but when I checked you were the only one without a pulse."

N: "You sure that your ability isn't as good as it used to be?"

Ashlyn retaliates: "HEY! if it weren't for her we wouldn't even be here right now, how about you be a bit more appreciative huh?"

Elizabeth puts her hand on Ash's shoulder.

Elizabeth: "No, no, it's quite alright."

Elizabeth turns back to look at N

Elizabeth: "My ability has never failed me, and I knew for a fact that you were confirmed dead on the spot. Surely you don't feel anything wrong with the current state of your body?"

N looks at his right hand and his right hand begins to shake.

N: "Not really..."

N: "Whatever...I'm gonna take a walk."

N stands up and walks out of the infirmary and turns to the right and walks down the hallway.

Ashlyn: "asshole."

Elizabeth: "Hey now, that's your teammate after all"

Ashlyn: "TEAMATE MY ASS!!"

Elizabeth: "Oh?"

Ashlyn: "that fucker didn't even care about any of us, even after Chonkster and Bentley died, he went off doing his own like nothing ever happened. Then Yuji was..."

flashback occurs of Yuji being swallowed whole by the giant rattlesnake.

Ashlyn starts to tear up as her tears drop to her bandage-covered hands.

Ashlyn: "I-I-I couldn't even do anything...I couldn't even MOVE! I-I'm as useless as I always was even before this stupid synvasion...sob damn it..."

Elizabeth stands up and hugs Ashlyn.

Yuji is behind the both of them laying on his bed looking over at the both of them.

Yuji whispers: "Ash..."

N is walking on the 4th floor past all of the dorms.

N: "Dead, huh...I don't get it, I'm handling all of it so casually...shouldn't I be feeling some kind of...what's the word again?"

Red flame appears behind N's head as he walks past a blank wall near the end of the hallway.

N: "The hell?"

N slowly places his hand on the wall causing his hand to go through the wall.

N: "THE FUCK?!-"

N ends up slipping through the wall and falls face-first onto a floor with a brick design.

N: "Ow."

N looks up from the ground and sees a surveillance room with a giant monitor in the middle with multiple different monitors around said giant monitor. The monitors are surveying practically every part of the city with a person sitting on a chair watching these monitors.

N: "uhhh..."

The person sitting in the chair turns around to be Banishment.

Banishment: "Who dares to enter-oh hello, N."

Banishment turns around to face the monitors.

Silence.

N: "Ahem."

Banishment comes to realization and turns back around.

Banishment: "WAIT WHAT THE FUCK HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE?!-NO, MORE SO HOW ARE YOU-"

N raises his palm while still on the floor.

N: "Lemme stop you right there, If I could explain the whole supposed to be dead thing, I would."

Banishment has a face of confusion then clears his throat and turns back to the monitors again.

Banishment: "I see...well, I'm sure you have plenty of questions yes?"

N picks himself back up from the floor.

N: "Not really Elizabeth pretty much explained every to me and Ash."

Banishment: "Ah, so Ash has come to light. I'm glad to hear that"

N: "But, I do have some questions."

Banishment: "Hm?"

N: "How come you sent us out there so quickly?"

Banishment: "Sigh...it wasn't our original plan, originally, we wanted to give the proper training beforehand but Jacob argued that people had already been dying as we had come up with this plan. We wanted to prepare you all but Jacob refused to do so. So we went with his complete recklessness of a plan. But it led to more people lost than what we initially desired."

N: "So, why didn't you?"

Banishment: "...we were powerless to stop him, he has an ability that nobody would even think of using."

N: "I thought you said Syn can only be conjured from the weapons we use?"

Banishment: "Everyone's Syn comes with a natural ability attached, it's just up to the user to be able to bring out that ability."

N: "So what exactly is this guy's ability, since you were so weak to stop him?"

Banishment: "Original Rule. Any words that he says with his Syn have to happen, but the downside being any words that cause or lead to the target's death will cause him to lose a fraction of his life span."

N: "Hmm. then, where is he? I haven't seen him around him at all lately."

Banishment: "That's the problem, he said he wanted to blow off some steam and headed off into the city and he refuses to connect with me. He could be anywhere in the city for all I know."

N: "What exactly is this city?"

Banishment: "Huh?"

Banishment has a face of confusion as he turns back to look at N.

N approaches toward Banishment.

Banishment: "Weren't you a civilian like everyone else we saved? shouldn't you know about you know...the place you live in?"

N: "Dude, I don't remember anything. I woke up in a fucking office."

Banishment: "I...see. ahem, well this city is known as Hestia. This is the largest island city to be ever built in all of Canada, having it built in Hudson Bay. Then slowly became the fastest-populating island in the world until...well, you already know that part of the story."

Banishment: "But enough of this, I'm still trying to figure out Jacob's location."

Jacob is sitting on a bench looking out to the ocean with a tree next to it with "J+A" carved into it.

Jacob: "This is where we started dating...remember...Ava?"

A giant centipede with a drill on its head comes out of the ground.

Jacob stands up and raises his hand at the centipede.

Jacob: "Push."

The centipede suddenly gets a giant force pushed against it then CRASHES along the ground.

Jacob cracks his fingers.

Jacob: "But enough of that sappy sob story stuff."

Jacob puts his hand on the tree with the carving.

Jacob: "I'll see you around...honey."

Jacob fazes out into an intersection and stands in the middle.

Jacob: "I can still remember it."

Jacob imagines cars passing around the intersection with a bunch of people crossing the street.

The daydream is interrupted by a giant bull with an eye embedded into its head.

Jacob raises his hand and points forward.

Jacob: "Ricochet."

The bull starts levitating then is thrown back and forth between 2 tall buildings in the intersection until drenched in its own blood.

right before the bull hits the ground Jacob lunges and PUNCHES the bull right in its embedded eye sending it flying into a building causing a small shockwave.

Jacob: "Still a little rusty. huh-"

Jacob gets pain in the back of his head.

Jacob turns back to see a monster made of black goop coming out of the side of a flower shop.

The monster made of black goo with half circles turns to look directly at Jacob.

Jacob: "You wanna go too, huh?"
