"I never really understood the whole religion thing...but then again, being in a poor family was probably the closest thing we could get to feeling good about ourselves."
Holly is kneeling in a church full of people.
"I found the entire thing quite dumb...quite pointless."
Holly almost falls asleep but is woken up by her mother silently smacking her head.
Mother: "Could you do the very least of showing even a shred of respect?"
"They all acted so calm and organized in front of this giant statue? What was really the point behind it all? I never really understood it personally."
"I chose to do my own thing"
A crowd exits the church as Holly follows her Mother and father out of the church and enters their small yellow 1976 Chevrolet.
As they drive away from the church, Holly's father attempts to start a conversation.
Father: "So, how is everyone feeling after today, hm?"
Mother: "I feel far more replenished than ever before, dear! That father really knows how to help others."
As Holly's parents continue their conversation, Holly sits in the back seat and pulls out a joint, and uses her lighter to smoke her joint as she leans out of the window.
Holly's father glances at her mother as she nods in response.
Mother: "Holly, have you been hanging out with those hooligans again?"
Holly: "What hooligans? It's not like I have any real friends anyway."
Father: "Sigh...we just think that it's about time to set some ground rules, don't you think?"
Holly: "Like what? It's not like we have anything around to even set rules for."
Father: "Listen, young lady, we have really trying to be as financially stable as possible! but with you know, the rent and general economy going up...it's been difficult to keep more than a little change in our pockets."
Holly's mother checks her bank account and sees it to have 3 cents.
Mother: "WHAT?!"
"There were so many things that I wanted to do in life, but I could never get the chance."
Father: "What's wrong?"
"Is this the doing of god? Am I meant to suffer?"
Mother: "All the money in my account is gone!"
"Am I meant to overcome this suffering? Will I even be rewarded for overcoming this?"
Father: "HOW?! We've barely spent anything this week!"
Holly looks out of the car window in silence as she continues to smoke and blow out her joint.
Holly's father checks his bank account to see that only 3 cents remain too.
Holly's father in shock at first then leans his head along the window as he continues to look at the road and drive ahead.
Father: "Oh god, with rent coming up and paying all the bills again...sigh, it's just gonna get worse from here, isn't it?"
Holly's mother wraps her hand around her father's hand in an attempt to comfort him.
Mother: "We'll find a way, dear! I just know it! I'm sure we could clock in a couple of extra hours, right? It'll be okay. After all, it's how god wrote us, right?"
Holly rolls her eyes in response.
"I always ended up wandering around this place that I live in. I ended up in a lot of fights with my parents...and I quickly learned that the world is more complex than it looks."
Holly gets flashbacks of attempting to talk to people but they all walk away as she's left in the spotlight.
"Was it something I said? Something about me that looked different from everyone? Nobody would ever understand me. But honestly? I think I'm...okay with that?"
As they arrived home, Holly's parents went into the house while Holly stayed behind to smoke.
Father: "Are you coming?"
Holly: "I'm going to walk for a bit, don't worry, I have the keys."
"There's this massive theory about fate. That everything we do is meant to happen and that's what shapes us all into who we are, so...am I meant to be in this poor and suffering family? if so, what is there out there for me to find? something worth my time?"
A tomato soup can comes rolling from behind Holly as she stops to turn around and investigate.
Holly: "Sigh...I know you're there, Chief."
A man wearing a fur coat, sunglasses, and white shoes with gold lining comes out of the shadows with several other men around.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
Holly: "I thought I told you that I gave you the money I owe, no?"
Chief: "Heh, you did. But you still owe quite a ton, I hope you know that my stash isn't easy to find, nor is it easy to buy. Plus to be honest? I"m getting quite tired of getting I owe you stick notes whenever I give you my supplements. So I'll ask you again, where the fuck is the rest of my money?"
Holly: "Look, do you have any idea how hard it was to find some cash from both my mom and dad? I mean, come on! it's not like I owe that much right?"
The chief quickly quip lashes in anger.
Chief: "Well, let me see...there's buying all the marijuana, not to mention stealing a portion of it from under my nose, plus we already spent what you gave us so that gives your debt an automatic reset so..."
Holly: "WHAT?! WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN RESET?! HOW'S THAT MY FAULT FOR YOUR FATASS SPENDING IT ALL ON-"
A man appears from behind Holly and points a pistol at the back of the head.
Holly: (WHAT?!)
Chief: "Sorry, what was that? I thought I heard a little bit of bitching from someone who's spending all that cash from her parents left and right like she's some kind of prostitute. I'll ask again. Where the fuck is my money."
Holly gets a chill down her spine as the Chief gives her a cold, lifeless stare.
Holly: "Just give me a couple of weeks and I'll-"
Chief: "Sigh...that's all I need to hear."
One of the men gives the Chief a remote with a red button.
Holly: "What is-"
Chief: "You know, you should really keep your close ones closer than some strangers."
The Chief presses the red button on the remote as something EXPLODES out in the distance and the mushroom cloud can be seen from afar.
Chief: "I would check on that if I were you."
Holly runs without any hesitation or thought and ends up in front of her parent's house. Or rather, what it used to be...it's now nothing but a flaming husk of what it used to be.
Holly continues to stare at the burning house as the fire appears to look like it's come alive and screams.
"W-was this my doing? no...maybe...."
Holly falls to her knees as her eyes lose all life that they had before.
"This is meant to happen? yes..that's it I HAVE FINALLY FOUND IT"
Holly: "Haha..."
Holly slowly shows a grin as tears run down her face.
Holly: "This is how god has written my story...this is it...MY GOAL!!"
"Everything I've done has led to this moment! This is how my story is meant to play out...THERE IS A GOD! THERE IS A REWARD AT THE END OF MY JOURNEY!!"
The chief returns and stands over Holly.
Chief: "Starting tomorrow, you're our little guinea pig, got it?"
Holly: "Yes, Chief."
Chief: "Good girl."
"This is my life...this is my story..."
3 DAYS LATER...
Holly, The Chief, and everyone else gather around someone with a sandbag around their head with scratches and cuts all over their body.
Chief: "Your first target, Holly. Take all the time you need."
Holly gives a sinister grin.
Holly: "Yes, CHIEF!"
Chief: (Crazy bitch) "Huh?"
The Chief looks over to the nearby Tv hanging onto the wall to see the news broadcasting a gigantic rift floating over a skyscraper.
Chief: "The fuck is that?"
Holly slowly approaches the person with scissors.
"This is the start of something new..."
Holly closes her eyes and suddenly the sounds of guts splattering and skin tearing are heard. Holly opens her eyes to see the monster from earlier looming over her, with bodies, including the chiefs, all ripped, scratched and chopped all over the warehouse.
Holly drops the scissors as she falls on her butt and looks in awe of the creature. But the creature just stands there...not a thought behind its body.
Holly: "God...is that you?"
The creature slowly reaches its right ret of claws to Holly, revealing a book in its hand with chains all over it, and the "B" indebted into the front of the book.
Holly: "What?"
??: "Please, help us."
Holly: "What?"
Holy slowly grabs the book as blue flames appear all over her, and the book's chains come undone, revealing the contents of the book.
Flaming words come out of the book as the words pierce Holly's eyes, causing her to gain so much information from the book.
Holly: "Is...this...my punishment?...no, this is everyone's punishment, for how they treat this beautiful world."
"THIS IS THE START...OF THE MAROON SUNS...THE CULT THAT WILL FLARE THIS WORLD INTO A NEW ERA...THE ERA OF A NEW GOD."
BACK TO REAL TIME.
A giant red skeletal arm comes out of the pool of blood as a giant red skeleton with an eye hanging from the right eye hole.
Cassandra: "The fuck is that?!"
Holly: "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU AAAAARRRREEEE?!?!!?!"
Jacob: "FOR FUCK'S SAKE, CAN'T YOU KEEP YOUR VAGINA IN THE GRAVE FOR MORE THAN 5 SECONDS?!"
