Sally turned off her lights and quickly slipped into bed. She was careful because today was her birthday, and she knew a present would be waiting for her. She opened the box to find another piece of her necklace. She knew what she was getting but was still filled with joy.
"Thank you, Und," Sally said to the dark room.
"Happy Birthday, Sally." Und's deep voice came from under the bed.

"I'm sixteen now. Two more years until I'm 18. I'm going to learn to drive soon." Sally said.
"I remember your grandmother and her sister turning sixteen."
"Did you give them presents?"
"Yes, I did. A necklace like yours."
"Oh," Sally was surprised, "Did they meet you?"
Und sounded sad, "No, they never finished their necklaces."
"Oh, sorry, Und. Then I'll be the first."
Und laughed, "Yes, you seem more determined."
"Goodnight, Und"
"Goodnight, Sally."
