Lisa's Journal

Warning! More blocks of text! (P.S. she doesn’t express her emotions on paper, guess what they are. Hehehe, she is surprisingly easy to read from her facial expressions)

Day 4

Little Lucy started a diary, so I guess I will keep a journal. I noticed it when she pulled it out during our week long travel to the Coliseum. I had asked her the ins and outs of recording my actions. She just said to write whatever comes to mind. I am not sure that’s how a journal works, but okay. It’s our fourth day of traveling to the Coliseum. Speaking of the Coliseum, I wish Evil Ginger came with us. Evil Ginger was pretty strong and complimented our team really well. I mean, I was the support and Lucy was the long range AOE. I had checked the forums to try and familiarize myself with game language. I would say it’s going rather well. Thankfully, there is a system in place that allows our log in and out point to be connected to the carriage. It cost 50 Silver Coins each to ride it, but I feel it was worth it. We were part of a caravan that we could interact with if we wanted. Lucy kept trying to talk to the knights, but they weren’t the magic type. Apparently, knights and mages are rivals. Lucy got a little upset. There was a Potion Maker that she talked to though. He was kind of dorky, but nice. He definitely was a little too into his work though. I learned a lot, but Lucy, who wanted to learn this in the first place, got bored quickly. I tried to ask the guards about being a sailor or if there was any pirates. I made sure not to sound too excited, because I didn’t want to be arrested for possible criminal behavior. We had only been on the road a day when Evil posted a lot of helpful threads. He really thinks outside the box. I would never had thought to converse with bad guys. That normally doesn’t work in these kinds of games. It feels more like reality than a game. Lucy and I are logging out to sleep so we could join again tomorrow. Someone had posted that carriages can be attacked so we decided to help them out whenever we could.

Day 7

It’s the last day of our travel as we can tell that the Tower is massive. It feels as if it splits the sky. Lucy and I managed to repel a low leveled Beast pack, killing three of them, one each by ourselves. We only got two Spells, as we couldn’t get any more rewards from low leveled Beasts after that except for money. Lucy got Storm Sunders and Ice Pierces. Her Spells all happen to be really good. Embers Bloom is a high leveled AOE fire Spell, Storm Sunders sends a slash of lightning at the enemy, and Ice Penetrates happens to encase the target in solid ice. All require high amounts of mana. I got Gale Gun, a wind type Gunner Spell, and Blooming Bullets, a Gunner Spell that shoots vampiric vines at the enemy. With these, we can take on pretty much anything that happens from here to the Coliseum City.

Day 9

Had to take a slight detour around a battle ground which delayed us a day, but now we’re at the city. This morning Lucy and I went and checked out the area. There were a lot of different races and people that we saw and we ate at a lot of great places. Some of the people looked at us funny, but it might have been my imagination. I had read Evil Ginger’s ‘Anonymous’ thread. Everyone knows it was his, but like this, we can’t just blame him if it’s wrong or we get in trouble for it. This way, if it is true, everyone can see it. He also got a pet frog and defeated a mid-level Beast by himself! He apparently figured out the growth of his allies through rigorous training. Now he says that three of his men can take on one mid-level Beast by themselves! He didn’t say how he came to find so many mid-level Beasts, but he is pretty amazing. There’s talk of another great Player, a Dragonkin from the north whose name is Merry-Go-Roundabout. He had started a Guild or Clan or whatever on the very first day. They are a dedicated group of artisans who plan on making a lot of money. They work together for now supplying each other with the tools and materials to get promoted to a better job and in return, work that money off as well. Kind of like a loan business. Actually, now that I said that, I feel kind of cold. I hope they don’t act like bad loan sharks. Lucy found a couple strong guys that were willing to help her, but didn’t pass the examination I put in front of them. I wanted them to solo a low level Beast. But they would run at the first sign of pain. Not really encouraging. Lucy says I need to tone it down. Well, we discovered that a low level Beast is actually the BOSS of the Second Floor of the Tower. We were pretty much asking them to solo an entire Floor. I know it can be done. I just won’t accept a weakling for our tank! We need a strong damage taker. No one seems to want this job as it involves the risk of getting your character perma dead. Oh well.

This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.

Day 12

Nothing much has happened, although Lucy and I pretty much destroyed all the way to the Fourth Floor. The Fifth Floor’s BOSS was actually two low leveled Beasts. We knew we could solo one, but we needed practice. So we decided to try out the Coliseum. When Lucy went up, I bet as much as I could on her. When I went up, she bet on me. As two new comers, people expected us to lose or even worse, die. I was told death doesn’t happen normally during Beast Battles, as the person fighting can usually admit defeat before they croak. So we continued on until we each could take on two low leveled Beasts. And then we cruised along until the Tenth Floor. We were told this floor had a mid-level BOSS that was capable of destroying an adventurer’s career. The Tenth Floor was also called the first milestone. We won. It was only one enemy after all. We had a lot of different elemental attacks, taking care of enemy weaknesses. Since we were both long range, the Beast would have to try and choose one while the other could unleash a torrent of attacks. We earned a lot of money today.

Day 23

The same old same old. We are now on the Twenty First Floor as we discovered that the Beasts we fought before were extremely weak. Lucy says this Tower is full of mana filling the inhabitants with power the higher up one goes. Low, mid, and high. These are the levels within a tier. Twenty Floors were filled with the lowest tier Beasts but if they were released into the City, there would be thousands, if not millions of deaths. Today Lucy and I heard about a strange group of powerful mercenaries run by some familiar sounding names. They must be Players with names like Mo, Larry, and Curly. Where do these names come from? They sound really familiar. Anyways, there are rumors that a powerful person had created a new Job called the Medic Chef Warrior. I didn’t even know that was possible. And on another note, one of these new rumors stated that a strange man who carried around a slimy little girl came and deposited an entire building full of rare ores in good condition. I would love to know who these people are. They sound like they are having a more fun experience than I am. Oh, and Merry-Go-Roundabout and some of his Clan, yes Clan, have showed themselves. It seems they’re recruiting. There are quite a lot of people in this city whose reputation precede them. I’m looking forward to it.

=======================================

Okay, so. This was to be the break in the middle of the first part, so as to let me cool down, but this is a really popular novel of mine as well. From here on will have most of the story being told from other’s perspectives in first person. That is why I had the MC act the way he did. Now, the only way we can learn more about him is to learn from other’s perspectives. It might take me a bit to sort out the different personalities, but I should think that there will be another chapter tomorrow. If not, there will be two the day after.

Now then. Who’s your favorite character? No poll, I want you to explain WHY you like that character. I know I haven’t been detailed enough with the side characters, but that’s what this next part is about. I will take into consideration from the comments and set up a daily life chapter. Hopefully it’s not a boring(?) one like System…or something…you know…
