Chapter 3 Taking the first steps of revenge and stealing an alien spaceship

Gray’s burning desire for revenge almost made him loose his mind, he remembered how he watched his mother being killed and could not do a single thing about it. That hate gave his tired and worn-out body the strength to push on. ‘Focus Gray, stay calm and think!’ He shouted in his head.

The alien dangled half a meter form the ground. Clear slime dripped from its ugly slimy body; it looked utterly disgusting.

He started to think of what he was going to do. He observed it and it didn’t look too strong so he thought to himself. ‘When will I get such an opportunity like this?’

With a stern look he then decided. Starting move, he slowly and quietly approached the alien for behind while getting ready to rip its weak body out of the contraption it was dangling from.

Before this invasion happened, Gray used to visit the college gym and worked out with his friend. He sometimes brought his laptop to the gym to watch anime while working out.

With each and every step he took, he prepared himself for the worst, he thought. ‘What happens if its stronger than it looks or has some kind of natural self-defense mechanism in its body, it might be able to regenerate like those Mech’s I saw earlier.

I’ll just have to make this quick and end its life before it even knows how it died.’ He nodded to himself

Gray has always been a decisive person, once he makes up his mind to get something done, he will stop at nothing to get it done. He finely got within grabbing distance of it. He remembered how his friend would use him as a punching bag to practice their judo moves on him, it’s like it happened just yesterday.

‘Wait it did happen yesterday.’ Gray thought. With all that has happened to him those memories seemed like an eternity to him. ‘Things will never go back to the way they were before, huh?’ He quickly snapped himself back to reality and got ready for what was up ahead.

He silently suppressed his killing intent without even knowing it, looking for the best method to kill it. All the distracting thoughts left his mind like the bad smell, his grief about his dead mother, joy, fear and sorrow.

All that was left in his mind was how to kill in the fastest and quickest way possible. If one were to look into his eyes, it would send chills down their spines. He finely had a plan of how he was going to kill it.

He would grab one of its dangling arms and use the corner body drop (Sumi Otoshi) and throw it. Among all the college students, he was one of the only ones to take a beating from his friend and walk away from it uninjured. That’s why his friend used him as a punching bag and that is where he learnt how to fight.

Gray then moved to the sleeping aliens side, he grabbed its arm and forcibly pulled it out of the thing that was holding it up and slammed it onto the ground. The poor alien hit the ground so hard that it had asked the three sacred questions in its mind. ‘Who am I, where am I? What am I doing?’

While it was thinking this Gray quickly got on top of it and he ripped one of its weak looking arms off. Just as he was going for its other arm the alien awoke from its shock and opened its star shaped mouth revealing multiple rows of teeth. It grasped as it took in a huge breath and then released an ear-piercing low-pitched scream. The air distorted around its ugly mouth forming visible shock waves that hit Gray.

“Raaa! Raaa! Raaa! Raaa!”

Its scream shook Grays insides like jelly and made his ears bleed, but he was used to taking a beating. Without even letting it finish its attack, he lifted his right hand and shoved it down the aliens throat.

He tried to get it as deep as he could, he then grabbed whatever he could get a hold in the aliens gut and pulled it out. It was a fatal attack that had caught the alien of guard. Never in its life would it have imagined that it would be attacked in such a vicious and cruel way.

As its life started to fade away, it thought to itself ‘if only I used my power to kill this lowly being, then I would not have been in this sorry st...’ Just as it was about to finish its remorseful thought, it died to the very being that it thought could not hurt it.

Cold and ruthlessly the fight ended as soon as it began. Gray did not stop there, he stood up and repeatedly stepped on the alien to make sure it was dead. He stepped on it over and over again venting out all his hatred on it, only then did he stop.

As for the alien it looked more horrid and ugly than when it was alive. He stood there in silence and admired his work; the aliens guts were turned inside out they were hanging from its mouth as it laid upside down.

Glowing purple blood seeped out of where its arm was once attached to. Only two words left Grays mouth as he spoke up. “It’s beautiful.”

Gray did not look too good ether, his right arm had cuts from when he stuck it into the aliens mouth that was full of sharp teeth. He was bleeding from his eyes, ears and nose. He stood there like a cold undead monster that and made it way up from the deepest depths of hell to seek out its pray.

He was lucky this time, if the alien had used its powers, he would have been in the same sorry state as the alien. If he did not launch a sneak attack on the alien while it was asleep then, he would have been squashed like a bug before he could blink.

Not even ten of the best fully armed special force soldiers could kill it, they would also be wiped out before they could even finish complimenting the aliens looks. “You, ugly peace of...”

After standing for a while admiring his work, Gray pulled himself together and spoke. “Mom don’t worry, I will send more of these bastards to hell so you can look down at them in heaven while they burn.”

After saying that Gray started looking around for something useful, so far, he found nothing in the control room other than the dangling head gear and some suspended robot arm thing that was used to hold up the alien.

Infuriated that there was nothing like a cool alien gun or something that could help him survive this dammed alien invasion or possibly help him fight back, he shouted in frustration.

“Gha! these dammed aliens have spaceships and Mech’s but not a single thing that can even be remotely used for self-defense.”

But what he did not know was that they didn’t need such things because they had powers, which he could not even imagine. He then decided to take out his phone and take pictures of the body and what was inside the control room, as far as Gray knew there were no extra rooms in this ship.

After taking the pictures with his phone he decided to upload them onto the internet, as he thought. ‘This might help humanity know what we are up against.’

Unfortunately, he was stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed there was no signal.

“Damn there’s no signal, this ship must be blocking it.” Gray said with a tired look on his face.

He was just about to leave when he had a strange idea. He turned around and decided while looking at the strange structure in the middle room and spoke. “I wonder how these things pilot these ships without controls?”

Gray then walked to the contraption hanging from the roof of the room. He did not mind the slime because he was covered in the stuff. He hastily put on the headgear that the alien was wearing and stood in an uncomfortable and awkward position to get the headgear to stay on his head.

He looked like a toddler trying to fit a grownup’s hat on, the gear did not quite fit his head. It was to be expected of something from an alien civilization.

“...”

After a short while nothing happened.

“I should leave before more aliens turn up.” Gray said in a disappointed tone.

Just as he was about to take the head gear off, he felt a strange cool and comfortable sensation flow over his head and gently enter it. He had no time to resist as it brought him as sense of peace. It just felt good, especially to the tired and worn-out Gray.

The cool sensation gradually became warm and information started uploading into his brain

after what seemed like a long time, it finely ended. In reality it only lasted for about half a minute or so.

Gray then started to laugh in a creepy tone.

“Kekekekeke, I understand, I understand it all!” He shouted in an excited voice while holding his fore head with one of his hands.

What got uploaded into is brain was basic information about the alien race, he not only understood their language but what made him really happy was that he learnt how to fly the ship. He then called up the ships control panel and started it up.

“Whoo… Hoo! Let’s get this baby running!” He shouted in an excited tone.

It turns out this ship was landed in this field because it was here to collect samples. Each one of these ships just holds five Mech’s and only has one captain and five Mech pilots. But this ship did not have combat Mech’s in the first place it was a scout ship used to collect samples, so the danger he faced had lowered quite a bit.

Though they could still squash him like a bug. Gray quickly closed the hanger door and started to take off. He disengaged the ships tracking mechanism and entered stealth mode. The ship silently took off and left.

About two hours later a group of five aliens piloting Mech’s arrived at the location where their ship was once landed. They all had stunned and confused looks on their ugly faces.
