The beast took a deeper look at his new prey of interest. What was this feeling? This deep feeling seems to draw him towards the boy. The boy was just like any other human that he preyed on, but deep down the beast sensed something more. The boy in question, who at first was frozen in fear, had suddenly changed his demeanor.
Something clicked in his mind, and like that, his fear was gone. Raphael stood there much calmer than before, now seeing his opponent in detail. The massive wolf with midnight dark fur and bright purple eyes glared back, and Raphael swore a feeling of familiarity sparked in his mind. Something was drawing him towards this beast as if they were some destined enemies to do battle. Ignoring it, he analyzed his current situation. He had to get this thing away from Samantha first. With its attention on him, it should be fairly easy.
Raphael leaped towards the left-wing of the barn, and as suspected, the beast followed. He made his way to the stacks of hay with the beast in pursuit. Quickly turning around, he picked a small haystack and threw it with the force of his momentum toward the beast in hopes of slowing it down. The beast however only avoided it and got in a position to pounce.
The beast couldn't understand this intense feeling. His blood was craving battle and his desired opponent seemed to be the boy evading him. He dogged the incoming haystack and lunged backward ready to pounce on the boy. 'Fight. Fight, Fight. FIGHT!' This was the only thought that circulated his mind. Raw emotions swelled inside the best that made him continue in combat unlike he has ever done with prey before, and so he launched himself at the small boy.

The wolf pounced with a great ferocity that summoned Raphael's anxiety, knowing he was a goner if the attack connected. There was no way his body could handle the force nor the sharp jaws. Surrounded by massive haystacks on all sides, he couldn't afford to jump away. So with adrenaline pumping, he ran towards the incoming beast and slid beneath its body, making his way to the opposite side. And again they were at a standoff, with each other in the other's former position.
The beast was surprised at the quick display of intellect the boy demonstrated. Such a move was beyond others, especially in critical situations such as this one. Usually, humans would stand still, paralyzed in fear or surrender. This boy not only evaded his attack but managed to corner him in his former area where he had nowhere to run. The beast became amused for the first time in a while. He hasn't faced such a creature for a long time. The beast could only grin at the boy.
To be completely honest, the grin the beast gave only set Raphael's heart in more panic, as it began to beat more erratically, more in anticipation than dread. He couldn't afford such a move again, as his physical limits prevent him from doing so. Taking a mental note to take up more physical conditioning, Raphael took a deep breath and readied himself, for his next attack.
"Sigh, so it has come down to this. For once, I am glad I started training with mana." Yes, it seems magic has become his only resort left. With a command of his will, water droplets gathered around, encircling Raphael, each gaining more velocity as they began to spin and condensed into one uniform projectile.
"Water bullet!" With that, the water projectile launched at high speed towards the beast, who had no way of dodging the attack.
