Chapter 36 - Arriving at the Xavier mansion

After all the commotion inside the jet, Sara realized they had finally arrived. More precisely, Prime noticed the jet was slowly decreasing its altitude, indicating they were very close to their destination. In summary, after Prime's introduction, everyone remained in their seats until they arrived.

Or rather, even though theoretically there was another being to meet, no one knew how to address the entity within Sara. Truth be told, some were still skeptical whether this entity was truly safe or not. Ironically, that explained why Sara sometimes spoke to herself.

Even if she tried to hide it, these moments did not escape the observation of others. Not wanting to be impolite, they avoided asking questions about it, but now everyone knew who Sara was talking to.

"We'll be landing soon"

Upon hearing Logan's words, everyone fastened their seat belts and patiently awaited the jet's landing. After a few moments, they finally disembarked. As the back of the aircraft opened, a vast and lush garden unfolded before Sara's eyes.

The mansion, the main place where everyone probably slept, was immense, surpassing in size the mansions Sara had seen on TV or in any other neighborhood of wealthy people. While admiring the scenery before her, Sara did not notice the approach of the others.

"I hope you feel comfortable here for the next few days"

As Xavier's voice reached Sara's ears, she turned to the man and then nodded. Anyway, at least she could enjoy comfort in such a imposing mansion.

"Jean, Kitty, why don't you two take her to see the room where she'll be staying? Today has been a long day, and I believe she must be tired. Tomorrow you can show her the rest of the place"

Upon hearing these words, both Jean and Kitty displayed smiling expressions as they approached Sara, although not for long. Both already considered Sara a good friend. Watching the two girls lead Sara away, and Scott along with Kurt moving away, Logan turned to his friend with crossed arms, displaying a doubtful face.

"Are you sure about this? Putting her with the other kids?"

Upon hearing these words, Xavier diverted his gaze towards the sky, looking thoughtful. His words followed shortly after.

"We'll need to keep an eye on her. We still don't know what she's capable of or what her power can do. Also, I sense something strange coming from the creature she calls a companion. Although I can slightly perceive the traces of Sara's mutant power in that thing, I still feel there's something more that we haven't noticed"

Upon hearing these words, Logan nodded, but soon redirected his gaze back to Xavier.

"But, still, no drastic methods. In the end, she's still a kid, and we need to take care of her as much as we can. Besides, she seems to get along well with that thing. Maybe we can just talk to find out more about both?"

Xavier's response to Logan's words took a while.

"I hope so, my friend"

The words, spoken into the wind, received no specific response. Turning back to Sara, Jean and Kitty were indicating, to some extent, the location of the rooms. Sara was on the female side, being a woman. In the meantime, a natural question arose from Kitty.

"Prime, right?"

Upon hearing these words, Sara looked at Kitty, clearly expressing a question if she had any inquiries.

"Is it a man or a woman? I mean, isn't it weird for you two to share the same room?"

Upon hearing Kitty's words, Jean shot her a disapproving look, which was promptly ignored by Kitty, who looked away while whistling.

"Prime doesn't have a gender... though he identifies himself as a man"

Upon hearing Sara's words, the girls exchanged glances not knowing exactly what to comment on the matter. In the end, both decided to accept things as they were because, after all, it wasn't like they could do anything about it.

"Ah, we've arrived. This will be your room"

While reflecting on this, Kitty realized they had arrived and promptly said so. Sara then looked at the door in front of her with an excited look, which did not go unnoticed by Kitty and Jean. With smiles on their faces, both opened the door and then made room for Sara to enter.

Upon entering, Sara turned on the lights in the room and was greeted by the sight of the interior. The furniture was decorated in a classic manner, of high quality, and noticeably larger than she expected. This wasn't just a small room with an included bathroom; it was more like a small suite in some high-class hotel.

The kitchen and living room were divided only by a wide hallway, while a bedroom and a bathroom were independent spaces.

Although surprised to find a kitchen in a place that should only be a room, Sara was even more impressed with the rest of the environment, which was simply stunning.

"The kitchen is intended for light meals. Normally, everyone eats in the cafeteria and uses the kitchen when they're hungry at night or something like that"

Upon hearing Jean's words, Sara nodded, then turned to the room where she would spend the next few months, or even years, at least that's what Sara and Prime believed.

Away from the Xavier Institute, in a facility in the New Mexico desert, General Ross found himself immersed in an experiment that would likely change his life forever. As a machine was positioned, a man dressed as a scientist commented.

“We're ready, sir. We can start at your command”

Upon hearing those words, Ross took a deep breath as various thoughts crossed his mind. However, undoubtedly, what bothered him the most in those days was the red creature that fought and even rivaled the Hulk. He desired that power, no, Ross yearned for an even greater force, something that would elevate him to the level of a god.
