After locking her apartment, Sara descended the flight of stairs until reaching the door that led to the rear of the building, where the vehicles were parked. Upon opening the door, she was surprised to come face to face with an enormous aircraft that one would typically only see in movies.
The aircraft resembled a jet but had a much larger and more futuristic appearance than conventional jets. Additionally, its color was entirely black, giving the aircraft an extraordinary presence. Sara could only whistle in amazement as she approached the craft.
"Impressive, isn't it?"
As she approached, a cheerful voice caught her attention. Jean came closer with a smile on her face. Sara wasn't quite sure how to react. It's not like Sara was antisocial or anything, but she just wasn't good with people she had just met.
"Yes... I suppose so"
Sara realized that her words seemed to convey distance more than anything else, even though that wasn't really her intention. However, somehow, Jean continued with her smile, as if somehow understanding Sara.
"We call it the Blackbird"
Upon hearing these words from Jean, Sara turned her gaze once again to the aircraft as she admired it. Besides being the first time Sara had seen a jet, it was also the first time she had observed one up close.
"Interesting name"
While Sara and Jean conversed, a voice caught both of their attention. Kurt, who now appeared in a much friendlier - or rather, more human - form, waved to them with a smile on his face.
"Are you two going to take much longer? Maybe I should have brought a few more snacks"
Upon hearing these words from Kurt, Sara and Jean exchanged quick glances. As soon as Jean sighed, both began to board the aircraft. Inside, Xavier and Logan were already in their seats in the pilot's cabin, with Logan taking control and Xavier as the copilot.
With that, everyone took their seats. Jean sat on the left of Sara, while Kitty chose the right side. On the other side, Scott and Kurt also took their places.
Noticing that everyone was properly positioned, Logan started the aircraft, initiating the thrusters with an impressive roar, causing the craft to lift off. Thus, the aircraft headed towards its destination. At this moment, Sara realized relatively late that she still didn't know where they were going. With this thought, she turned to Jean and asked.

"Where are we going?"
Upon hearing this, Jean promptly replied with a smile on her face.
"We're heading to the city of Salem Center, in Westchester County, where our home is"
Parallel to this, Kurt and Scott were having their own private conversation, away from the girls. More precisely, Kurt was incessantly asking questions to Scott.
"Hey man, what do you think her power is?"
Upon hearing this, Scott, behind his glasses, cast a momentary glance at Sara and then turned his attention back to Kurt.
"I don't know, and probably neither does she. Forgot she just found out she's a mutant? We need to help her and get her accustomed, not scare her"
Upon hearing this, Kurt pouted, showing that he wasn't entirely in agreement with his friend's words.
"You know it's different for everyone. Sometimes, a mutant is so skilled that even after learning about their power for a short time, they can already use it like an experienced mutant. Are you telling me you're not even a little curious?"
Upon hearing this, Scott sighed, thinking that the conversation wasn't taking a good turn.
"Actually, no. We'll have time to get to know her, so why would I be?"
Upon hearing this, Kurt, with a mischievous smile on his face, turned his gaze back to Sara.
"What a shame because I am"
Turning back to focus on Sara, she directed her gaze out the window. A silence settled in the surroundings, but it barely lasted ten seconds before being interrupted by Kurt.
"So, Sara... what exactly is your power?"
Kurt was straightforward in his question, not going unnoticed by the others. Although Jean tried to interrupt him, Sara didn't seem particularly disturbed by his question. Moreover, Jean thought that Sara still didn't know what her power was, but Kurt's question didn't seem to confuse her.
"I don't mind showing, to be honest, but it would also be weird to show you without knowing what your powers are"
Upon hearing these words, everyone was surprised, as Sara had discovered she was a mutant less than a day before. How could she already know how to use her power? This fact also caught both Logan and Xavier off guard.
"Since that's the case, let's do a power demonstration, starting with me. You might have noticed before, but I can teleport"
Kurt said, disappearing and, after a few seconds, reappearing in his seat.
"I guess it's my turn now. I can basically control things with the power of the mind. You can think of it as a kind of telekinesis"
Saying this, Jean picked up her phone and made it levitate, thanks to her powers. Sara was truly impressed with this power; after all, controlling things with the mind was quite fascinating. After this demonstration, it was Kitty's turn, who was sitting next to Sara.
"My power isn't as interesting as Jean or Kurt's, but it's still pretty cool. Look"
Saying this, Kitty reached her hand to the jet's window, and surprisingly, her hand passed through as if there was nothing. Needless to say, this left Sara surprised, making her question how mutants' powers really worked.
"That's... quite impressive"
Upon hearing Sara's words, Kitty put a sweet smile on her face.
"Seriously, thank you. Not many people find this power cool"
After Kitty's turn, it finally came to Scott's turn, who, unfortunately, couldn't demonstrate his power. According to him, his power could damage the ship, but he promised to show Sara when they got home. With that, it finally came time for Sara to demonstrate her power. Needless to say, Scott, Jean, Kitty, and Kurt were extremely curious, as well as Xavier and Logan.
