Bowing at the orb Allen said, “I’m sorry for bothering you headmaster, but there was an incident in the south slums.” As a wave of mana came from the viewing orb, a mirror sized portal opened up around it. On its surface; an image of an old man with short-grey hair, sat in a dark oak chair.
In a dry-raspy voice, filled with age, the Headmaster said, “What, what could have possibly gone wrong, Allen? Hmm, is that where that mana fluctuation came from.”
Bowing even deeper before the floating orb, Allen said, “There was a variant-scraper queen in the nest, in the south crux. It had the ability to release a toxic miasma. From what I've heard from Yerian, some of the trial participants have been hurt by exploding scrapers. I have Mential cleaning up the leftover miasma, but what would you like me to do about the participants?”
His thick grey-eyebrows twitching in irritation the Headmaster said, “I take it, from what you've told me, you handled the variant queen. As for the trial participants, We’ll take them all. After you get them healed of course. While your doing that I'll contact the free city council.”
Raising his head in shock, Allen said, “What, all of them, but we’ve never taken so many students at once.”
As a tired sigh escaped his lips, the headmaster said, “Just bring all of them up, for now. I’ll handle the rest once you get here.”
Bowing again, Allen said, “Yes headmaster.”
The mana fluctuations disappeared from the viewing orb, shattering as it fell to the ground.
Standing up; with small specks of green mana falling from his fingers, leftover from healing the last trial participant with burns.
Quietly sighing in relief, Yerian said, “That seems to be the last of them.” Not that could have continued much longer, im alomst out of mana again.
Looking at Yerian in awe, shaking himself from his stupor. Henry said, “Sir, ah, Magus Yerian. Everyone is fine now, except one person. We don’t know what happened; one second he was getting ready to help someone who got burned, the next he keeled over.”
Looking around yerian said, “Strange, take me to them so I can get a better idea of what happened.”
Leaning over the prone form on the ground, placing his hand on the trial participants forehead. Yerian said, “Hmm, I’ll need to contact the proctor to be sure. But there is some residual psychic energy, he also has a slight mana leak. With a few other signs that point to an Obvious failed possession.”

Looking at Yerian in shock Madison said, “What how could this happen, what could have tried to possess Kyle?”
Standing straight, Yerian said, “I’m not sure, I have a few guesses. But i want to contact the proctor to be sure.”
As Yerian, and Madison were talking; a few feet from them, appeared another cloaked figure. Pausing mid sentence, turning and bowing. Yerian said, “Proctor, i was just getting ready to contact you.
Looking around at all the trial participants, Allen said, “Yerian, did something else occur?”
Going over details about what he had found out about Kyle’s situation.
After listening to Yerian’s thoughts; bending besides kyle’s pron form, placing his hand on kyle's forehead. Allen said, “Hmm, I agree definitely, a failed possession. But it’s nothing a little injection of mana can’t help him get over.”
Across the Midlands in an unnamed valley of High cliff, hidden by layers of mist. Stood four figures, clothed in thick white robes.
The tallest figure coughed, in a jagged tone it said, “The project in Free City, has failed, and the scraper queen was terminated. What do you have to say for yourself, Stone?”
The wide figure, called Stone said, “It doesn’t matter Raum. The project was only a simply testing phase. We have acquired precious data, and we can use said data for other better placed opportunities.”
The tall figure called Raum said, “Ha, why try covering up your failure Stone. Just accept the fact that my idea is better.”
Sputtering Stone said, “You don’t know what your talking about! The project in Free City was always meant to be a trial run, and never meant to actually succeed.
Laughing, the shortest of the four said, “It pains me to say it, but I agree with Raum. Your little project failed stone, except it.”
Letting out an irate growl Stone said, “Shut up Rose, neither of you know what your talking about! Fine, I didn't want to say anything until I could find out more information first. But the scraper queen isn't, at least spiritually speaking dead. While everyone knows what the first aim of my project was. None of you knew that I had a second aim. In furthering my knowledge on methods of possession, and its effects.”
A cold sigh come from the fourth figure, an icy tone filled with disgust drifted through the valley. “Enough, all your bickering is giving me a headache. Go, get back to work and unless it's something truly important don't bother me again.”
