"Whatever I was sent here to get, I'm sure I can find it somewhere else, with higher standards. Let's go. This place is lacking." The tall sleaze pigeon said as he and his group of followers stormed out of the apothecary.
Her face still red with anger, Madison said, "Grrrr, why that no good two-bit flea bag.." Taking a deep calming breath as she turned towards Sheen, Madison said, "I'm so sorry, Sheen for causing you so much trouble." Smiling in return, He said "There's no need to apologize Madison, I know his type well. He would have caused problems regardless if you were here or not." Sighing, she said, "I still feel bad, I shouldn't have let such a slime-ball get to me." Letting out an abrupt laugh He said, "Exactly, so don't, learn from it and then let it go."
"You're so right, although on that note we should probably get going, more places to show Kyle. Thank you for sparing us some of your time." She said confidently. "Umm. Before we go I was wondering if I could ask about that plant, it really caught my eye." I said, pointing towards the umbrella-like plant that had such strong mana waves. Coming out from behind the counter, reaching the plant I had pointed to. He said, " this is one, right?" "Yup that's the one," I said, joining him by the plant.
"This little beauty is called Manium sanaritous. It's great for calming down chaotic mana. Usually used by practitioners to help their meditation but it's best used in potions instead of just staying by it. Well in less you have a whole field of them, but they're hard to grow, so I don't see that as an option anyway." Sheen said as he gently pet its purple herbage.
Having my past selves memories unsealed and gaining his knowledge, hasn't been very helpful. I mean sure it's nice, not being so lost and recognizing enchantments. But I could have missed this plant that could help me unseal the third seal even quicker. I'm definitely going to be reading up on alchemy. I thought.
Madison must have dragged Alfred over while Sheen was talking. "Oh wow that's really cool Sheen, I'm sure it'll make the perfect, new friend gift for Kyle, we'll buy it," Madison said, shooting me a knowing look. "I'm sorry Madison, but we aren't taking any new orders right now," Sheen said, apologetically. "No, no, I'm not asking to order a potion, I just want the plant, you can do that right?" She said, slightly pleading.
Sighing, He said, "Fine, I guess I can do that, it's not how we normally work, but we're friends so I'll make an exception."

Taking a small crystal orb, from his work apron, it glowed as Sheen tapped it against the flower. "Yes, thank you so much!" Madison said, jumping at Sheen to give him a giant hug. "Okay, okay, here take it and get off me." He said, shoving the orb into her hands. Stepping back and looking at the orb, She said, "What do I owe you for it?" Giving madison a look, He said, "Nothing, just consider it a favor." "Thanks, I'll owe you one," Madison said, with a wink. "Come on guys let's go look at some other stores," Madison said, heading for the door.
Turning back onto one of the Main Street, we traveled with the busy throng of people. I preferred the of the quiet of the apothecary. Shortly after we had made a few turns, we came to a small outcropping of stores. Madison called it small-circle, none of the stores were as nice as Perfect potions, but the people were very welcoming. While Madison stood with Alfred, haggling with one of the shopkeepers over a necklace. I wandered over to a stall covered in different pieces of enchanted equipment. Just as I was about to pick up one of the small daggers. Someone shoved me from behind, not expecting it, hitting the side of the table as I fell.
My vision swam, as I heard someone yelling I felt a blow land, on my ribs trying my best to get up. Coughing, pain racking my body, I heard more yelling, but I was having a hard time understanding what was being said. Lost in the haze of pain, I did something I don't remember doing before. I subconsciously reached for the mana instead of just looking at it with my talent.
Grabbing it with my senses in a way I can't describe, sensations exploded across my mind as I pushed the mana att unseen attacker. Finally being able to catch my breath, I heard a panicked yelp of surprise, as I struggled to stand up. I saw what I had done in my struggle to defend myself. An oblong circle was burned into the ground around me. Madison had my attacker, pinned to the ground under her red glowing heel. I noticed two things right away, one my attacker was in the same uniform as sleazy pigeons. The second was a burn mark seared on a quarter of his body.
By the time I blinked Alfred was by my side, putting his arm under mine to help me support my tired body. He said, "Hey, deep breaths ok, I've gotcha. How are you doing that was a pretty strong Mana pulse." Madison turned her head in our direction. She said, "Ya, it was pretty awesome. I didn't know you were an apprentice." Turning back to the man stuck under her spelled heel, her body casting off waves of red mana like a furnace. She said, "What in the blazes! Were you thinking, attacking someone not only unprepared but defenseless as well? Like some pathetic coward, the Raven Fare should be ashamed."
Leaning on Alfred as I felt my body start to shake uncontrollably, with the sound of marching footsteps echoing in my ears, I barely opened my mouth to speak before. I passed out, everything fading to black.
