Making my way through the twisting, and turning corridors of the free city, with Madison and Alfred. As we went over what supplies we needed to get for the trial.
Waving at Alfred, Madison said, “I think it makes more sense to start with getting a good set of armor. Then worry about what kind of potions and weaponry we need.”
Alfred said, “But that means we’d have to double back, and waste time. When we can stop at Mossey’s potions to get potions first. Then head to Finricks Amour to get proper battle-wear and finally to Grandais Action to get weapons.”
They have been arguing over which shop we should go to first since they came to pick me up. It’s honestly like I’m not here, but I don’t really mind. It gives me time to think and to figure out what best would fit with the skills I have available to me.
As we came out onto a main street crowded with people, With her face tinged red, in irritation. Madison said, “Fine will do it your way. Come on kyle Mossey’s is this way.”
Dragging me off towards the right, headfirst into the bustling mass of people, leaving Alfred in the dust. Coming up to a storefront, with a huge wooden sign. In the shape of a lily pad, that read Mossey’s potions, that hung over the door.
After keeping up with us through the crowd, Slightly-huffing, Alfred said. “I don’t know why you have to be so irritated. Over the fact that this way saves us time. You even agreed to do it this way, and now you’re acting like a…”
Whipping her head around like a snake ready to strike. Madison said, “What were you going to say, hmm.. I’m acting like a what?”
I could almost see the flames of anger burning in her eyes. As the wheels in Alfred’s head turned at a rapid speed. Trying to figure a way out of the mess he got himself into.
As Madison and Alfred were having a stair-off, a man came out of the shop behind them. With his rainbow-like hair, swaying in the breeze. His Gold snake-like eyes began to sparkle, staring at Madison. He said, “Madison? I thought I heard your beautiful voice out here. Are you here to see me, or maybe you’re finally going to try my wears?”
Turning to look at the man that came from the store, Madison said, “Mossey how are you? Of course, I’m here to see you and to buy some of your wears.”
Smiling at Madison, Mossey said, “I figured, word on the street is Eden’s first trial has started early, and it’s about taking care of the infestation in the south slum.”
Looking at Alfred coldly, Mossey said, “It’s been a while, Alfred?”
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Walking towards me smiling, Mossey said, “Hello, I’m Mossey owner of Mossey’s potions obviously, and who might you be?” As he stuck out his hand for me to shake, I noticed the scale running from his pointed fingernails towards his wrist.
Stiffly returning his smile, I said, “Nice to meet you, my names Kyle Greenar.” I don’t know why I have to be so awkward when meeting new people.
Turning and heading back into his store, waving at us, Mossey said, “Anyway, come inside so we can get you all sorted.” With the click of our shoes against the stone floor, in the background. As I took in Mossey’s longer than wide store. Its walls covered in racks filled with potions in a variety of colors and bottles. Some potions even had a deep glow about them, but I couldn’t tell if I could tell they glowed because of my talent or because of what kind of potion they were.
“I know the potions I provide aren’t like Perfect Potions unique brand. But just because I mass-produce potions doesn’t mean their shoddy potions. I just believe massed produced top-quality potions are a better route than unique potions, at least for me.” Mossey said as we made it to his counter in the right corner of his store.
Going behind the counter, rubbing his palms together, Smiling Mossey said, “Now, I’m relatively certain I know what you plan to use these potions for. But why don’t you guys tell me what you’re looking for? So I can get a feel for what I have that will fit the bill, so to speak.”
Madison and Alfred didn’t even spare a glance at each other. Looking at Mossey, They said, “Let’s start with the basic healing potions, two... no three potions of rejuvenation, a fire suppressant potion, and several potions of concealment.”
Looking at me, Madison said, “Sorry, Alfred, and I discussed what potions we were going to get this morning, on our way to get you. I forgot to ask earlier, what are you planning on getting, Kyle?”
Quickly going over what would best suit my abilities. I said, “Umm, how about a potion of clarity, and several potions of befuddlement.”
Rubbing his chin, Mumbling Mossey said, “Hmm, that’s not too complicated. But what would best fit your situation? Ah, yes, I know just the thing.”
With a snap of his fingers, potions flew off the shelves. The tinkling of glass against glass rang out. As the bottles of potions Landed on the counter in front of us, in little groups.
Picking up each potion and moving them around. So there was a group in front of each of us. Smiling at us, Mossey said, “Here we go, only the best of what I have in stock, for friends. Three healing, rejuvenation potions, and two concealment potions for each of you. Two fire suppressant potions for the lovely lady. A potion of clarity and something a little better than a potion of befuddlement. One of my personal inventions, I call it black mist.”
