Chapter 90
The curse has lost, he had lost most of his strength and had only a 4 meter body. The reserves of cursed energy were approaching zero and soon he would not even be able to exist. His spirit was almost completely broken by the last attack and he finally noticed that the Bishop's attack was weakening him all the time. Having made the only right decision, he hid among the ruins. Feeling that the warriors were looking for him in the fog.
He underestimated how strong the blood lion and the other people would be, during the entire battle he was unable to immobilize it to reach the origin of the curse. If he had done so, he would have definitely won. But for now, all he could do was wait. If the people retreated, over time more people would die on the wall because of the fog, it would give him strength and cursed energy, then he would have a chance again.
Or so he thought, sniffing and opening his eyes, he felt the awakening of his mistress. She had finally come to her senses. Without a second's hesitation, he separated from the body and flew to her as a spirit.
Finding himself in a small area of the city, the curse once again checked how strong the spiritual barrier was, which prevents the fog from getting into the house of the hostess. Not finding anything critical, he continued on his way.

Mellis lay on the floor, her eyelids fluttering from the nightmares. She stirred and suddenly sat up, screaming loudly. Realization dawned on her, her parents were dead. Squeezing her eyes in pain, Mellis wanted to scream and cry, but something pushed her hard in the shoulder. Turning around, she saw a wolf-like creature. Memory began to return and she remembered that she was able to somehow create it.
Mellis touched his head with her hand and saw what had happened while she slept. The curse had destroyed the slums and plunged the upper city into despair. Mellis squeezed her eyes shut at the pain these people had endured. She had never wanted this, she had never wanted to be a murderer. Her stomach twisted and she wanted to vomit, but she simply had nothing to throw up with.
Playing back the memories in her head, she saw everything in more detail. Many strong people defended themselves from the curse, and did not even make an effort to save anyone from the slums. Behind the wall was an idyll, while in the slums there was hell.
Her face was distorted with intense hatred, everything she had experienced was because of their cruelty and indifference! She hated them to the depths of her soul! Because of them, she had lost everything! Mom and Dad gave her everything, made any sacrifice, and now they were dead! It would have cost these people nothing to change all this!
Mellis wiped away her tears and her gaze changed. It became cruel and indifferent, she wanted revenge. She would take revenge on these people, the republic, anyone, even if she had to kill millions of innocents. At that moment, an old quote from some movie came to her mind. "When a person walks, he does not look at how many ants he tramples." Having made up his mind, Mellis realized that she would really be walking over corpses.
She reached out to the curse and stroked his head, absorbing all the memories. When she was done, Mellis' teeth gritted in rage, she felt the Spirit of the Executor and his ruthless actions. She would kill him and everyone in this city.
Mellis stood up and opened her status, there she saw many new levels and skills, immediately reading their descriptions. Having passed level 100 in the race, Mellis felt the changes and chose a new skill [Keen Instinct] [Uncommon]. After thinking for a second, she extended her hand and beckoned the negative energy from the entire city. Her control was as relentless as she was.

The Executor and the other [Special] ranks felt something change in the air. The almost black fog had become even darker, and there was a fierce hatred in it. The Executor's instincts warned him that something big was brewing, but he couldn't figure out what. What was worst was the feeling that it was getting worse with each passing moment. Without thinking twice, the Executor used movement techniques and quickly moved towards the wall. As he moved, he began to notice different silhouettes in the fog, at first it seemed to him that fatigue was starting to affect him, but then he was convinced of it when he flew through one of them.
The first one was followed by another, the Executor instantly cut the spirit with his halberd and was finally able to catch something in the fucking fog. Spirits were forming everywhere and with each passing second they were becoming stronger and stronger. He urgently needed to return to the holy territory.
The other [Special] ranks thought the same and quickly headed towards the wall. One of them was not so lucky and ran into a new curse body. The [Spear and Shield Elite] moved quickly in the fog and was unable to notice and react to the cursed one's attack. Four meter long jaws appeared in front of him on the trajectory of his movement and slammed shut on his right hand. The armor held and the Spear Elite quickly struck with his shield with all his might, trying to push back the curses, but it had no effect, his physical strength accumulated over a lifetime could not even push back the curse.
Seeing this, Elite unleashed his strongest attack. His aura expanded to form a green deer with magnificent antlers. The spirit slammed into the curse and pierced its antlers, but this did not cause the curse to retreat. In response, the black, green aura of the cursed expanded and caused the deer spirit to disintegrate before his eyes. The cursed shook its head and slammed Elite into the ground, then slammed it with its aura-covered front paw, destroying the deer spirit with a loud sound.
The Elite was stunned and could do nothing further. Although the cursed one could not bite through the armor, it could simply kill him with internal damage. The wolf jumped high and slammed both paws into the Elite again, slamming him even deeper into the ground. The curse repeated this until the Elite died, which it only needed 9 more times. After receiving the notification of his death, the cursed one swallowed the warrior, began to assimilate his soul and quickly ran on.

The Executor arrived at the wall, finding several [Special] ranks there, and destroyed over 100 evil spirits along the way. Only when he approached the holy territory did he allow himself to breathe a sigh of relief. The spirits did not form in the city, the holy power did not allow them to do so.
When he approached, the [Special] ranks stood up and quickly saluted him, reporting what had happened. Only slightly listening to them, the Executor broke the Crystal of Holy Mana, giving the signal to quickly retreat. It was at this moment that he sensed the approach of a beam of erosion. Swinging his halberd covered in red aura, he deflected the beam into the wall. The entire group was showered with erosion and stone fragments. Shaking himself off, the Executor did not pay attention to this, but only tuned in to the reserves of aura. He was depressingly weakened, the spirit of the lion was broken and soon the aura would completely run out.
The same was true for the rest of the squad. Most of them had almost no stamina and would soon begin to experience the effects of the potions. Most of their spiritual abilities were the same type as his and were also shattered by the cursed energy. The Executor clenched his jaws and growled slightly from the pent-up rage. He never expected things to be this bad.
Sharply turning his gaze to the black fog, he saw that many dark human figures were gathering there. They flickered at the edges of his vision, not attempting to enter the holy territory. Shaking his head, he no longer waited for the other [Special] ranks and gave the order to climb the wall. Activating the flight artifacts, each of them flew upward. From this height, the Executor saw thousands of dark figures, but now he could tell that they were all possessed corpses.
Executor clenched his jaw in dismay as he ordered his men to prepare for defense. Two more [Special] ranks were dead. Only nine men remained fit for battle, and he doubted how fit they really were.
Feeling the massive amount of cursed energy again, Executor turned his gaze and saw the curse 300 meters away from the wall. It had a 15 meter long body and held a dark purple energy clot in its teeth. Clenching its jaws in rage, Executor roared, turning to the nearest captain.
"Captain, what are you waiting for? Fire all guns!"
The captain relayed his order and several cannons moved out to fire. That's what the curse wanted, at that very moment it fired an attack destroying another cannon, but in return it received 5 holy spheres. After the shot, half of the curse was destroyed, but it only made an ugly laughing sound. The curse opened its mouth and the nearby corpses calmly entered it, so that the curse would swallow them. At the same time, the wounds from the holy attribute began to heal.
The Executor became even more furious and ordered the mages, archers and priests to use everything they could. A minute later, several thousand soldiers fired their bows, covering the sky with arrows. This had minimal effect on the curse, even due to the presence of a holy attribute, but for the rest of the evil spirits it was deadly. Then the mages sent 6 flame spells of the 6th level, causing the curse to hide in the fog, having severe burns. But the Executor knew that it would soon be restored.
Moving away from the wall, he felt another erosion projectile, it hit the same place where the destroyed turret was. In response, several turrets fired into the fog, but it was unknown how successful this attack was. Over the next 10 minutes, the curse sent erosion projectiles into the wall. And the turrets and mages hit back, along with blind volleys of archers.
All this time, the Executor was thinking about asking for help, but he did not dare to bring upon himself the shame of defeat, there was nothing worse than the Executor failing the mission. But at the same time, he did not want to die such a senseless death, cornered like a rat. It was his pride that would later prove fatal.
A loud roar was heard behind the wall, listening closely, Executor realized that it was the sound of paws stomping on the ground and with each second it became faster and stronger. Loudly shouting about the activation of the barrier and turrets, Executor activated the flight artifact and fled into the air.
At that moment, he saw a picture that made him rethink his life path. The curse slightly increased in size, reaching 17 meters in height and 34 in length. It rushed at full speed, towards the most damaged part of the wall. The turrets fired, but the curse defended itself with its aura, receiving insufficient damage to stop it. It gained a tower momentum, a combination of its strength, speed and mass.
At the last moment, the curse became even faster and crashed into the wall. There was a loud explosion, shards of stone and powerful erosion energy flew everywhere, causing them to crumble in the air. The inner part of the wall received a serious hole, and then began to collapse in huge stones, diameter from 4-8 meters, killing hundreds of people.

The Executor saw the curse slam into the wall and then release a suicide blast, what it did was comparable to a level 8 targeted spell, but that alone would never have destroyed the wall. The curse specifically chose that part, as it was the most damaged by the erosion blasts over the past 14 hours. The Executor realized that this was what he had been aiming for all along.
The wall began to crumble even more, completely losing its strength. Within seconds, all that was left from the first attack fell to the ground, opening a gap of 40 meters. At the same moment, many corpses possessed by evil spirits began to run out from behind the fog, trying to get behind the wall.
The Executor saw despair in the soldiers' eyes, they were weakened by the poisonous mist, they had fought for more than 14 hours and had not slept for more than a day. The only thing that kept them on their feet were the priests of the Holy Church and the healers. Now they had to fight an army of possessed corpses.
Swallowing his pride, the Executor took out his communication amulet and contacted the senator, asking for help. To which he received only the answer "wait". Clenching his jaw at such disrespect, the Executor went into battle.
Landing right on the gap in the wall, he began to cut down the possessed with his halberd. Giving the army behind him time to prepare and go on the defensive. Within minutes, other [Special] ranks joined him, in addition to Major Faxmel who was gathering soldiers. Together, they mercilessly destroyed the possessed, buying precious time.
After 5 minutes, the Executor realized that his movements were unusually slow. At first, he attributed it to fatigue, but then he realized that the fog had become more toxic, affecting even him. He continued to fight and for the first time in a long time, he felt a threat to his life, which only strengthened his fighting spirit.
The mages on the wall cast many spells on the stone wall, sealing the breach. It was at this moment that the curse showed itself again. It emerged from the fog with a much smaller, 7 meter long body. Making the Executor assume that he had abandoned his first body under the rubble.
The curse fired another volley of erosion, easily destroying the unfortified rocks, and he himself rushed forward, leading a large number of the possessed. Looking into his eyes, the Executor saw that this would be their final. Using the movement technique, he covered the distance with all his speed and struck with his halberd. The curse blocked his attack with his claws and expanded his black-green aura, manifesting diseases and erosion in the surroundings. Not willing to give up so easily, the Executor launched a series of strikes, most of them hitting their target, leaving light wounds on the curse, while others were blocked again.
The Damned attacked back, opening its mouth, it fired a beam of erosion, the Executor dodged and behind him, many soldiers died from the explosion. They had only set out to fight the possessed and were already suffering heavy losses.
Several special ranks came forward to support him, and together they cornered the damned one again, preventing him from recovering and preventing the soldiers from fighting. When the damned one lost his head and paws, something unusual happened. His aura expanded and wrapped around the Executor, showing physical strength. The Executor cut it with his halberd and released his aura, but was caught. The aura began to form a clear shape of a wolf's head with thousands of eyes, holding him in its teeth.
The Executor fell into a slight stupor from the terrible feeling inside, such power and ability was abnormal for anyone at the [Special] level, and even more so for the amount of energy that the curse used. But after feeling the shade of the [Legendary] skill, everything fell into place for the Executor.
The Executor activated the forbidden skill, burning away lifespan, his aura became stronger, but it had no effect. He was greatly weakened and could not break free, while the curse clenched its teeth on him even more, grinding them against his armor. The special ranks tried to stop the curse and break his aura, but they were unable to stop it.
As a last resort, the Executor activated the [Execution Sentence] [Special+] skill. The cursed wolf spirit was instantly covered in silver chains, binding it and depriving it of most of its strength. Sharp thorns grew on the chains that could injure the spirit, and began to tear it apart with great force. At first, they were in a putt situation, but the aura of erosion began to affect the silver chains, causing one, and then the rest, to break and dissipate into the air.
The Executor's aura was the next to collapse. At that moment, he felt himself in his power. Memories and a lot of pain surfaced in the Executor's head. As if someone pulled them out of his skull with hot metal. He saw many of his own disgusting, cruel actions and experienced them as a victim.
From the side, the soldiers saw how the Executor, who was holding the curse in his teeth, began to scream loudly in inexorable agony, blood began to flow from his eyes, ears and all orifices. The blood began to darken over time, turning into a black liquid, and then all parts of the Executor's body also began to darken and become completely black. His aura flared up again, but it was black and red, with a clear sense of damnation.
The Executor died while in the curse's mouth. At that moment, the wolf's physical form quickly recovered and the spirit pulled the Executor's body, eating him.
The wolf changed, among its many eyes, one new one grew on each side with red irises like the former Executor. The curse let out a furious howl, its aura expanding by a hundred meters, causing the bodies of other [Special] ranks to rot and crumble into dust. It charged with a speed it had never shown before and bit the [Axe Elite] in half despite its armor.
At this point, the [Special] ranks accepted defeat and each of them decided to leave the battlefield. But the curse did not want this and rushed in pursuit. The Special ranks quickly went beyond the defense wall and scattered throughout the city. The Cursed ran after them, sweeping away all the soldiers in its path. They tried to shoot at it with shots, cast stone walls, but the curse easily overcame all obstacles, only releasing a couple of explosions of erosion.
Once outside the wall's defenses, the wolf realized that he couldn't catch up with them, they were too fast in a city full of obstacles. So he started shooting erosion beams at them. His shots destroyed houses like sand castles, spreading destruction everywhere. But none of them could find their target. Growling in indignation, the cursed one went to kill the soldiers. The only [Special] rank left on the wall, a beastman with the features of a ram, came out to meet him. The curse smiled widely and rushed to attack.
Major Faxmell rushed forward, resigned to his death. He raised his sword and shield, revealing his aura that formed the silhouette of a fearsome ram. He lunged forward, taking the blow with his shield and aura. He then slashed his sword across the wolf's chest, slicing it open. The ram's aura rushed forward and slammed its horns into his head with a loud crash, causing the wolf to stagger. The cursed one responded by expanding its aura, causing it to rot from the inside out, and charged with even greater fury. They fought for several minutes, until Major Faxmell's aura collapsed and he fell to one knee. As the curse's mouth closed on him, his gaze did not waver and he accepted death with dignity.
The curse snapped its jaws shut and tore off the beastman's head, swallowing it, gaining a new pair of eyes. It then swallowed the body and looked at the wall's ruined defenses. People were trying to fight off the possessed, killing them with holy weapons. But it was useless, now that the wall had fallen, everyone was in despair, there was just a sea of negative energy. This gave its mistress the power to form cursed spirits and take over new bodies, right on holy ground.
The curse turned its head and looked at the last target, the area of the city over which stood a mana barrier. All the survivors were in it. The curse turned around and ran to kill the soldiers and feed on their bodies. An hour later, there was not a single person left on the wall. More than 50,000 soldiers died in one day, turning into those possessed by evil spirits.
Having finished with the last soldier, the damned one began to eat their bodies, restoring the cursed energy and gaining even more strength. After eating several thousand people, he turned into a mass of flesh and reassembled his body again, being previously 20 meters high and 40 meters wide.
Rising from the ground, the Cursed One slowly walked through the empty city, all the people had left and gathered in the center, making his job easier. Walking towards them, the curse released the possessed to scatter throughout the city and begin wreaking havoc. After a while, he reached the center of the city and could see the soldiers shaking in fear, behind a fragile barrier and another high wall. Turrets began to fire at him, but the curse expanded the aura of erosion so that all the shells dissolved before any harm could come to him. The people were in complete despair, and he could feel it.
Raising its head, the curse began to accumulate a huge amount of cursed energy in the erosion beam. The turrets on the walls shot at it trying to stop it, but it was all useless. After 10 minutes, the curse released the beam.
It crashed into the wall, creating a huge explosion, a terrible roar swept through the city, parts of the wall fell, along with many flying stones, many people died, and the residual energy of erosion killed many more defenseless. The people behind the wall screamed and ran in panic, many of them fell to be crushed by others. No one looked back, each person was just a cornered animal, running from death.
The mana barrier shattered into millions of pieces, scattering across the sky. Black fog began to seep in, causing the first humans to touch it to quickly die, rotting from the inside out. People tried to hide, no one wanted to strike dead, but today everyone would die.
Having started moving, the curse released the possessed to kill and went to the wall itself. Having crossed the wall, the curse saw the living chaos. More than a million people ran out of the buildings and tried to somehow save themselves. Children and the elderly were left to their fate, while the healthiest and strongest tried to hide. Only the smallest part did not lose their dignity and did not turn into animals.
Raising its head high into the air, the curse howled. The sound created a shockwave that shattered all glass within a kilometer. People froze for a second, only to start running even faster and more furiously. Charging a beam of erosion, the curse fired it into the center of the city, destroying several buildings and killing thousands of people. As it began to move, the curse took particular pleasure in destroying buildings along the way, creating a noise that only drove people more and more crazy, while the possessed hunted and tore everyone apart.
The corpses of people who died were also captured by evil spirits, this happened in any part of the city. People had nowhere to run, those who understood this tried to fight and die in battle, others simply accepted their death, but most ran and could not stop.
The curse howled loudly and stalked the city, seeking survivors in the most hidden corners of buildings, leaving no one to survive the nightmare. In just the first 10 minutes, a third of the city was destroyed and half of all the people living there were killed.
[Congratulations, your title [Beastman Slayer 100,000] [Uncommon] has evolved into the title [Beastman Slayer 1,000,000] [Rare]]
The possessed rampaged, destroying even more buildings than the wolf himself, sneaking into houses, climbing tall buildings, knocking people out of the air. While he himself sent beams of erosion into crowds across the city and spread fog
Having reached its center, the curse stopped in front of a majestic castle, it was luxuriously built and still managed to hold back the onslaught of the possessed. Sending a beam of erosion, the gates were destroyed, opening the way for the possessed.
After building up another beam of erosion, the curse fired and knocked down one of the towers, killing its defenders and causing another earthquake. For the next few hours, the possesseds went on a rampage, and the wolf continued to fire beams of erosion and knock down buildings until he felt that everyone was dead. Having completed his mission, he turned around, leaving behind ruins, a cursed fog, and thousands of possessed people, as his mistress wished. She hoped that all these deaths would force the republic to reconsider its policies.
