Chapter 74
Having reached the room, Dylan, without thinking, began to prepare for bed, simultaneously thinking about the past day. He really liked how everything turned out, but he couldn’t get rid of the bad feeling. He had already decided that he would be in the group despite the possible risks, but he should get used to his paranoia.
Taking the swords off his belt, he hung both on a chair that stood right next to the bed. Next, he began to pull out the throwing knives hidden in his uniform. Taking out the last one and laying them out on the table, he took off his uniform, checking beforehand that he had not left anything in it.
Still, I definitely have some kind of mental disorder. It's not quite normal to have so many weapons with me.
Dylan thought, then spoke in a whisper.
"Hmm, it turns out I also need a holster for the Razer and I need to figure out where to shove the ammo too. It's a pity I don't have a super cool spatial ring with infinite opening. Oh well."
After hanging his uniform in the closet, Dylan walked to the table and picked up the academy card, activating the interface. The first lesson starts around 7am, it was now around 12am. After calculating, he realized that he could sleep for 6 hours at best. This would be normal even for a normal person, but despite all his increased characteristics, he still liked to sleep for a long time and felt not quite alive in the morning. Which of course he considered strange.
Internally complaining about this, he went to bed to try to fall asleep. After spending several dozen minutes thinking about something, Dylan could not fall asleep. It was such a bright and eventful day that he did not want to sleep at all. But he could already feel his tomorrow's state. Having gathered his determination, he tried not to think about anything.
...
Dylan woke up early in the morning to the sound of his communication amulet ringing. He lifted his head to get his bearings, staring at the table for about 10 seconds in a sleepy state, not understanding what was irritating him. Blinking, he began to understand what exactly was going on.
Dylan slowly growled in irritation and got out of bed, going to the amulet he instantly lost the desire to go back to bed. Because his mother called him, looking at the time he saw that it was a little after 4 am, which means he slept at best for 3 hours.
"Crap."
Taking the amulet in his hands, Dylan spent a few seconds gathering his thoughts to start a conversation. Gathering his courage, he pressed the rune that connected them.
His communication amulet was specially made by Rimel, it was very protected, but it did not have the ability to transmit an image, for which he was of course now grateful.
"Yes, Mom, good morning?" Dylan spoke awkwardly, stumbling on the last word. As always, he accidentally thought that the morning could not be good.
"Yes, Dylan dear! I heard that you were starting real classes today and I couldn't help but congratulate you on this!" Limia answered immediately, her voice full of love.
Dylan rolled his eyes at the tenderness.
"Yes, thank you very much Mommy! But I wanted to sleep longer today to gain strength." Dylan answered with a sweet smile.
"It's okay, you can talk to your mom and tell her what else interesting happened to you. Or should I quit running the county and come visit you at the academy again?"
Dylan's smile faded at the memory of the beating, but he couldn't let the joy in his voice fade.
"Of course not, Mommy! I'll be happy to tell you everything you want to know!"
"Great, then you can start. Maybe you have made some new friends?"
Dylan turned on [Accelerated Perception] and [Parallel Thinking] to think things through properly.
The mother's lie detection skill works on several principles, if I'm not mistaken. Firstly, it's innate intuition, secondly, something related to the spirit, or karma, thirdly, the fluctuation of the aura. The question is, will she understand that I'm lying, being many kilometers away from me? Ah, it doesn't even matter, nothing prevents her from asking later in person, and give a kick to me in the ass
Taking a deep breath, Dylan accepted defeat.
"Oh, yeah, Mom, you're right. I got into the Reincarnation group."
"Wow, unexpected and intriguing! Tell me everything!" Limia said, as he thought, in a happy voice. Or rather, Dylan wanted to think so.
...
After talking with his mother for 1.5 hours, he barely managed to get rid of her, arguing that he had to go to class. Having broken the connection, Dylan tried not to think about where this conversation would lead and how soon he would meet his mother again.
After getting dressed and putting his weapons in place, Dylan calmly left the room and went to his first Arcane Magic lesson. As he walked through the academy, he held a card in his hands that displayed a map. What he found curious was that the room was in a completely different part of the academy, there were no names nearby, so he could not even roughly understand what was in that part of the academy.

After walking for about 10 minutes, Dylan came out of the main building of the academy and entered an open field, with only a few trees growing around. Looking around, he saw several other buildings, all of them were typical stone buildings, with large windows and tiled roofs. Unlike the rest of the academy he had seen, these buildings were not beautifully stylized.
Checking the map, he walked a few more kilometers to climb the hill. Standing on it, he was able to look back and see the academy in all its beauty. The main building was a real castle, although by saying so he was afraid to underestimate its size. The academy was not very high, maybe 7 floors at most, but it was so huge in area that he could not estimate its true size.
Dylan thought about the horizon in this world, about 14 km. Looking at the academy, Dylan did not see its real end, of course, his view was blocked by other tall buildings, so he could not see the end of the academy. But this size was simply unimaginable, the academy itself was a real city.
Shaking his head, Dylan didn’t even want to think about how many centuries it took to build something like this, and most importantly, how many resources were spent on it.
Dylan turned around and continued walking, looking at the horizon. He had heard that the academy was behind a very high and thick wall, but apparently it was too far away, because he saw nothing but buildings, roads and trees.
After walking for some time, Dylan realized that he had arrived. He came across another castle, with a very well-kept garden, it was small, about 650 m long and painted in light colors.
Hah, small, of course.
The design was very similar to medieval castles, with several towers. The castle, curiously, was also surrounded by a 7m beige wall. Dylan wondered why they even needed a wall. They were on academy grounds, and someone of [Rare] level with a decent level could easily jump over it.
Dylan shrugged and just walked up to a huge white steel gate with runes etched on it. He was met by several Knights in white armor with long white spears and swords on their belts. They didn't look like church ones so Dylan didn't think much about it, he just appreciated them.

As he got closer, he could see how high-quality their armor and spears seemed to be. They weren't painted white, but were actually a natural color. The armor was covered in runes on every inch and seemed very light, and he also noticed several monster cores embedded in the armor that were at least [Special] level. Their spears were also made of white steel, with mana cores embedded in them, just like their swords.
The evaluation itself showed that these knights were real monsters, but what was curious was that there was no title in the class name. They were definitely Weapon Adepts, but apparently the class was not very tied to weapon mastery. Also, Dylan found it very significant that their second class was aiming for the Secret Mage. Based on this, he concluded that the Order of the Light Principle served the Tower of Magic.
Whoever lives here is a real big shot, isn't he? Why else would they need so many guards in such a protected place?
When they reached the gate, the two knights stepped out of the gate and bowed slightly to him before speaking.
"Greetings young lord, please show the academy card."
Dylan easily agreed and took out the card, handing it to the knight. The man carefully took the card and brought it close to his eyes to examine everything carefully. Having moved the card to its usual position, he took some device that was hanging on his belt, leaning the card against it, the artifact glowed green. Having made sure that everything was in order, the knight quickly handed the card to Dylan.
"It's okay, you can pass." He said and bowed again.
Dylan didn't respond, but simply walked past. The way people like that still treated him with such respect irritated him. They could kill him with a finger, not that he wanted to be dead. But he wanted such people to have more respect for themselves, in front of a brat like him.
My God, each of them is over a century old... Well, maybe I'm being too harsh in this regard. Although such politeness for such a level of power, in its own way, also deserves respect, relationships are complicated. Although it is still hard to imagine my father bowing to anyone other than the king. I would like to see it.
Dylan thought as he looked around the castle, there were a lot of people walking around inside at such an early hour, few were wearing the academy uniform. Everything inside the castle was stylized in light colors, with neat streets, they even managed to plant very light trees. Assessing the people, he saw mostly [Rare] Mages and a few [Special], along with other knights from the Order of the Light Beginning.
Where did I end up? Luckily, I at least decided to leave early when I saw how far this place was.
Checking the map, which still worked, he saw that he was very close, after walking a few streets and making a couple of turns. He came to the back of the castle, where a 4-story building stood alone, in the middle of a magnificent garden. Taking a quick look at the garden, he saw that there were also mostly light-colored plants. Light blue tulips, white chrysanthemums, and those plants that he could not recognize.
Ignoring this, Dylan walked past to the doors of the building and opened them. Inside, the interior was just as you would expect, everything was bright. But this time, he appreciated that everything was very pleasant and reminded him of typical apartments on the ground. The hall was furnished with sofas around a rather low table, windows opened onto a garden and in the building itself there were several plants that gave off a pleasant aroma.
There were people sitting at the table and chatting pleasantly with each other, Dylan even recognized some of them as his promising colleagues. Having assessed most of the people, Dylan immediately noticed a plain woman about 30 years with soft features and long blond hair. She was certainly beautiful, but compared to everyone he had seen in this world, she did not reach such a level of beauty. She was dressed in a light white dress and with a bright smile talked to people, answering various questions.

Yeah, she could compete with my father. What the hell is she doing here? It's also funny that there are a lot of people here that I know, very interesting.
