Whey they reached the home, Madam Pai already waiting impatiently in front of the door. When she saw Acma, she quickly grabbed the latter’s hand and dragged him to the wooden table where the meals were already served. Chief Pai could only watched them helplessly and then followed. 

From the state of his house, it was strikingly clear that Chief Pai live modestly. The house was made from wood and could be considered small with just two bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room and kitchen. The furniture in the living room was made from a rattan, simple yet exquisite. No television could be seen, only a small radio. 

“My wife, looks like you’re really happy to the max. Look at all this dishes”, said Chief Pai complimenting his wife.

She looked at her husband, smiling to the ears and replied, “Of course I am. I haven’t see Little Acma for ages already”.

“I’m sorry auntie, I know I should come earlier”, said Acma. He wanted to come, but for various reasons, he couldn’t. The couple in front of him understand, that’s why they never blamed him for not visiting.

“We know you can’t visit us. Your parents already explain it to us. Aahh, lets forget about it, the most important thing is, you’re now already here. It’s more than enough. Let’s eat.

“Lets dig in”

“ Alright auntie”

The dishes in front of him was just a simple dishes. Fried home-grown vegetables, fried meat probably from a wildlife, vegetable soup and a bowl of rice. Although Acma had tasted numerous delicious dishes, but he still longed for this simple dishes. Even he couldn’t explain it. He picked up his chopstick and start eating. He chewed slowly, carefully savouring the taste. 

“My wife, this kid eat like a judge in the cooking competition. Let’s ask for the verdict later. Haha”

“Eh, uncle, auntie. Why are you staring at me?” he realized the couple was just staring at him and not eating while smiling from ear to ear.

“Nothing my dear, we just love to see you eat. Ok husband, lets eat too or little Acma will stop eating”, said Madam Pai.

While eating, they talked about many things. From Acma’s childhood story, his parents to his future wife. Of course that last question left Acma with red face, he didn’t have time to know any girls, how could he have a future wife. He also asked the couples about the village and the surroundings while carefully avoided anything that may lead to the couple’s son. He knew about the tragedy and he didn’t to make the couples sad. They continued exchanging stories for a couple of hours, only stopped when Chief Pai realized he needed to go to the main building.

“Aaaahhh, that’s a good story”, said Chief Pai while stretching his body. “My wife, I have to go to the main building. The hunters might have a new information about our enemies’ movement. Take a good rest tonight. Things might be chaotic tomorrow”, said Chief Pai while kissing his wife’s forehead. Then he look at Acma and said, “Come with me, the village need your help”.

Acma stood up, bidding farewell to Madam Pai and followed Chief Pai.

Inside the meeting room at the main building, several elders were discussing. Chief Pai walked to his seat while Acma went to the corner of the room and stand there. He did not sat at the table because he knew that was reserved for the important people in the village. He was an outsiders, so it was natural that he stood at the corner.

“Hei kid, what are you doing there. Come here, sit next to Elder Ma”, said Elder Daquan. Acma complied and sat next to Elder Ma.

“Brothers, what are you discussing just now? Is there anything new about the enemy?” asked Chief Pai.

“Nothing so far, brother. No enemy within 50 km from our village. Right now we’re discussing about how our village could be attacked”, replied Elder Daquan.

“Are we sure no enemy within that range? I thought our hunters were not permitted to venture far from the village”

“The sky is quite clear tonight so the moonlight give us enough light to monitor any movement in the forest. So far the forest is calm and no indication that there was an army traversing through it”. 

“I hope it stay like that”, said Chief Pai, then he continued, “Brother Ma, how is our preparation?”

“The preparation was complete. Majority of our hunters were focused on the southern gate since that was the only place where the centaurs can penetrate. However...”, Elder Ma’s face suddenly look worried.

“However?” asked Chief Pai. Elder Ma continued, “However, if the enemy somehow have a humanoid soldier among their ranks, then our eastern and western will be breached easily. The number of our hunters only enough to effectively defend one front only. If we spread them up, I believe defending will be quite a challenge. Even so, we still have to defend our village to our last blood”.

The room was silent. Everyone agreed that the situation would be dire like Elder Ma said. The hunters were limited and they didn’t how many was the enemies. Facing the centaurs was easy because they couldn’t climb the wall. But, there were many mythical humanoid monsters like werewolf or vampire. Beasts like ape or snake also dangerous because they could scaled the wall easily. If this type of enemies appeared, like Elder Ma said, defending the village would be extremely difficult.

“Kid, can we borrow some weapons from your villa to defend this village. I know that this request is against the law, but as Uncle Ma explained, the situation was dire. Beside you and your parents, we don’t know anywhere else we can get help. Of course you don’t have to return alone, we will dispatch some of our hunters to escort you back to the villa and receive the weapons, if you’re agreed to lend us some”, said Elder Daquan.

Chief Pai awkwardly said, “We’re also willing to pay any amount if you’re willing to lend them to us”.

Hearing what the elders just said, Acma just smiled. In his heart, he already willing to help to defend Orca Village. As for the weapons, he already brought several of them with him. He just need to take them out onto the table. Although Chief Pai said that the village was ready to pay for the weapons, Acma didn’t need them. He had a trove of treasures inside his inventory.

Acma slowly stood up and said, “Uncle Pai, Uncle Daquan, we don’t have to go to my villa because I already brought some of the weapons with me”. Then Acma took out the weapons and line them up on the table. There were 10 AK-207, several hand guns, grenades and bullets. 

All the elders inside the room was stunned. They didn’t know which one was more shocking, the amount of weapons on the table, or the scene when Acma magically took out the weapons from out of nowhere.

“Acma, how do you keep all of this? Is this real?” asked Chief Pai stutteringly. 

“I keep them inside my inventory”, answered Acma short.

“Inventory? Can you explain about it?” asked Elder Daquan.

Another elder asked, “Where do you keep your inventory? Why we see nothing?” Multiple questions was hurled toward him.

Acma didn’t know which question to be answered first as a bead of sweat was forming on his forehead. Speaking in front of the crowd like this was always a nightmare for him. He took a deep breath and slowly, he managed to calm down.

“Does uncles remember the blue panel which pop out in our sight this morning?” he asked. Rather than answering the questions about the inventory one by one, he thought its better if he explained about the beginning of everything that happened today. 

He got a nod from the elders. So he continued, “That blue panel informed us that our world have merged with several other worlds. We can say, our old world is already gone after that notifications. It also said that we must fight for our survival. 

To help us survive in the current world, the overseer said, he implement some sort of system and I can say that it was similar to the RPG games system in our old world. In RPG games, a player will get an inventory or a storage to keep his items. When I said I kept all these weapons inside my inventory, it was similar to the player who kept his items inside the inventory in the RPG games”.

The elders started discussing with each other. Some said he knew about the rpg games while the others replied he saw his grandsons playing games on the computer, but he didn’t know what kind of game it was. Chief Pai was curling his brows. He didn’t have any ideas about what Acma just explained. 

“I’m confused. Brother Ma, do you know what rpg game is?” he asked Elder Ma with a low voice.

Next to Elder Ma, Acma was smiling. He already anticipated that some these elders might have no clue about the game system.

“Uncles can open your inventory by saying Open: Inventory. After that you can try keeping an item inside your inventory by wishing it to enter your inventory. Same process if you want to take it out”, he explained. Hearing that, the elders chanted the word, followed by a gasping sounds. They were shocked by what they just experienced. 

“Hahahaha, with inventory like this, our hunters doesn’t have to worry about supplies anymore”, said Chief Pai.

“Indeed”

“What Brother Pai said is true”

“Ehemm, enough with this inventory thing. We still have important thing to discuss”, said Chief Pai. “Now we have an extra weapons from little Acma, our defence will be much sturdier. Little Acma, thank you for your assistance. Like uncle said before, we’re willing to pay for these weapons”.

Acma quickly replied, “It’s okay uncle. There is no need to pay. I’m sure father will be glad if his weapons was used to help this village to survive. But uncle, I have to warn you, these weapons only able to kill a low class monster or monster with low defence”.

“Can you explain a bit further?” an elder asked.

“During my journey to this village, I met with many types of monster. Some of them were agile, some of them were using magical attack and some others have high defence”, explained Acma.

“How do you survive fighting them?”

“I wore an exoskeleton armour suit so their attack won’t harm me. When I met the monster with high defence, I just avoid them. Depends on what type of monsters we’re facing, we might need to revamp our strategy”

“You’re right, little Acma”, said Chief Pai. “But it’s no use to worry about it too much. All we must do is fighting with all our might. Brother Ma, I entrust you with these weapons. It's up to you how to divide them. Alright, is there anything else to discuss? If there is no more issues, I will conclude our meeting”.

“I have something to share”, Acma raised his hand after all the other elders didn’t speak.

“Please proceed, little Acma”

“It’s about the caught centaur leader. I have a way to understand their language”

“Ooohhh. Tell me, kid”, said Elder Ma excitedly. He was exhausted in finding a way to communicate with that centaur.

“Uncle Ma only need to say Activate: Language Comprehension. Everyone have this skill in their skill list so I suggest to activate this skill. After that you can interrogate the centaur smoothly”, replied Acma.

Elder Ma quickly chanted the words and rushed to the captive. Looks like he wasn’t patient enough to test his new skill.
