While all those mysterious entities were discussing, our young adventurer who was frantically phantom stepping to avoid an attack from an extremely angry huge python. Our young adventurer was oblivious that he was currently been discussed by others.
Acma have several hundred metres left before he reached the gorge. While running, he kept his attention to the screen inside his helmet, predicting the trajectory of the attack from Sawa without the need to turn his head around.
“Booom”, another Stone Spike appeared below his feet but he successfully avoided it with Phantom Step.
“Dammit. Stupid worm, why you’re so keen to kill me. I cursed you stuck inside the tunnel and die”, shouted Acma while he keep cursing the python. He seem to ignore the fact that he was the very reason why the python wanted to kill him.
Suddenly, a brilliant idea flashed inside his mind and he immediately use it. He took out something from the inventory without reducing his running speed and passed it to the guardians beside him.
“Alice, take all this explosives and plant them at the first and second tunnel. When I reached the second hall, blow the tunnel when this damn snake within it. When you finish planting all the explosives, bring all the guardians to the 2nd hall. Go, quick, I will stall this snake for 2 minutes” “Yes Master”. Without delay, the guardians darted off to the gorge to finish their mission.
“Good thing that I prepared those explosives before departing from the villa. Like people says, preparation never betray you. Now, how do I stall this damn worm”, said Acma.
He already facing off the python with a mithril sword he got from the gorge in his hand. This mithril sword was a better quality than his Barquq and it can amplify the damage several folds. Too bad that it was only an Epic rank sword. If it was a Legend rank, then he wouldn’t have a problem to kill the python.
Sawa, the king of python halted its pursue when it saw its prey stopped. It didn’t mind the pain from its wounds. It only focused at the damn wretch prey in front of it. Slowly, it coiled its body and gathered its remaining energy. Its previous painful experience make it wary of this creature, fearing his counter attack.
“Good, good. The longer you stare at me, the better”, Acma was amused. He didn’t attack the python and just waiting for it to take the initiative to attack.
That stand off lasted only for a minute before Acma began to attack. Although he could keep waiting, he was afraid that the python became too wary of him. He systematically released all his known attack one after another. Wind Blades, Earth Stomps, Black Holes hitting the python. The python couldn’t held its rage any longer, so it retaliate with deadly attacks towards Acma, which all have been successfully avoided.
Acma’s objective was only to stall the python. Even if he wanted to killed it, he couldn’t because he didn’t have power to do so.
“It’s time. Now follow me you damn worm”, said Acma.
He already stalled the python for 5 minutes. With his movement skill and agility, it wasn’t hard if it just to stall for time. He immediately turned his body and sprinting again towards the gorge with the python close to his tail. When he jump off into the gorge, his speed wasn’t as fast as the python, so his body was slammed by its head.
‘Booom’
The sound of Acma’s body crashing into the gorge was earth shattering loud. Acma was injured internally, but it wasn’t severe enough to rend him immobile. He immediately pushed himself up and start running toward the broken door. Now, he can only rely on his legs. When he jumped earlier, he already anticipated that the python would caught him up. He jumped toward the door so when he crashed, he was closed to the door.
He passed through the door, but in a split second, the angry python already slammed its head onto the door, sending the already broken door flying toward Acma. Acma couldn’t avoid it, so he gritted his teeth and jumped forward to lessen the impact of the door. He didn’t know either it was a blessing or a curse, the flying door propelled him forward several times faster than he predicted although the pain was unimaginable.
He was sent flying straight into the 1st hall. There was one more tunnel to go. When he was enduring the pain while staggeringly stood up, he took a glance toward his pursuer. The tunnel was just enough for the python to pass through, so its speed was reduced considerably. It was struggling to pass through the tunnel.
Without delaying even a second, Acma dragged his battered body into the already opened 2nd tunnel. In his mind, he kept recalling the location of the trap mechanisms inside the 2nd tunnel so he could avoid them.

When he reached the 2nd hall, the python was several tens of metres behind him. That was a good distance. Acma didn’t stop as he kept running toward the 3rd tunnel. While inside the 3rd tunnel, he turned his body and waiting for the python’s head appeared into the 2nd hall. He waited patiently. All the guardians already safe kept inside his inventory. Now, what left was to blast the tunnel.
When the tip of the python’s nose emerged from the 2nd tunnel,
“Alice, now. Blast the tunnel”, said Acma with a weak voice. He clearly weakened and didn’t have energy to shout loudly anymore.
Without waiting for the explosion, he already long reaching the end of the 3rd tunnel. Secretly in his heart, he hope that the blast won’t destroyed the 3rd tunnel too. But it might cave in, so he kept running into the treasure hall.
“BOOOOOOM” “BOOOOOOOM” “BOOOOOOM” “BOOOOOOM”
A deafening explosions reverberating inside the treasure hall. If not because of his highly sophisticated armour with the control of his highly advanced super A.I, Acma’s hearing might be a history already. Before the explosions occurred, Alice closed off all hearing devices inside his armour and set the armour for maximum protection against the shockwaves. But the shockwaves sent Acma flying and crashed into the treasure hall, thus made his injury worsen. Even his ears was in great pain because of the sounds. Looks like his armour was incapable of filtering all the sounds. He was coughing out bloods multiple times and he could feel blood dripping from his ears.
Although he was heavily injured, he didn’t wait to watch the result of the blast. He knew that he was running out of time. The tomb might caved in at anytime.
He finally reached the dragon wall after some great difficulty. Without taking a breather, he took out the dragon pearl from the inventory and slotted it into the socket inside dragon carving’s mouth. While impatiently waiting for the dragon wall to move, he took a glance at the 2nd hall. Through the 3rd tunnel, he saw that the 2nd hall already caved in. Even the treasure hall started to have a cracked on its ceiling. Its speed was beyond his calculations. It won’t be long before the treasure hall also caved in.
“MOVE, MOVE. MOVE FASTER YOU DAMN WALL !!!” he shouted while ignoring all his pain. Acma grew desperate.
“Alice, when you’re able to cast a spell, prepare to teleport immediately. We can’t die in this place”

The wall already moved for 25 metres when the treasure hall finally cave in. The sound of the its ceiling crashing down send a shiver down to Acma’s spine. He was sweating profusely, his legs was almost limped down, his mind was already blank, all he could think was cursing the wall to move faster than light. Both of his hands were pushing the wall as hard as his could, hoping it would help moving the wall faster.
“Craaack” “BOOOOOOM”
Another crashing sound was heard. The booming sound this time, made Acma lost all his hope. If the previous sound was the sound of the treasure hall caved in, this sound must be the sound of the 4th tunnel caved in. That’s all he could think. Acma was in despair.
“Alice, pass my regard to my parents when they return. Tell them that I’m really sorry that I died earlier than them. Tell them that I really love them and proud to be their son”.
Alice’s true body was hidden deep under his villa, so it wouldn’t have any problem to relay his message. He also believe that his parents won’t die easily, so 99.99% they would return and receive his message. After finished sending his final message, Acma close his eyes and relax his body. He already kneeling on the floor, waiting for his final moments. Deep inside his mind, he was recalling all the moments he experienced throughout his 17 years of his life. It was extremely satisfying. Receiving his parents love was the best thing he got in his life. Their trainings, their educations, their concerns fulfilled all his desire. Nothing less that what he deserved. He love his parents so much.
He remembered his father’s centipede training, which he hated the most, he remembered his mother’s medicinal bath, he remember the first bear he killed when hunting, he remembered the first human he killed when on assassination mission given by his father. He remembered all of them while waiting for his death.

“Why I didn’t feel any pain? Even the previous pain was gone. Is this how dying feels like? Painless”, he muttered to himself.
Its already a long while since the last booming sound. He didn’t feel the floor shaking anymore. It was calm and serene.
Slowly, he opened his eyes only to see nothing. It was a pure darkness. When he tried to hear something, he heard nothing.
“Looks like I’m really have died. Luckily, I didn’t feel any pain”, he said slowly. He tried to feel his surrounding with his hand, only to feel a cold floor beneath his knees. “Where am I? Am I transported to another world? That must be it, like all the light novels I read. I hope it was a good world. Haha”.
Betraying his expectation, a familiar sound echoed in his ear.
