Chapter 35
POV Deep Darkness Dragon Lord
How many centuries has it been since I’ve holed up in this place? No one dared to approach me again since I have defeated that damn player. Well, it’s not like I want any visitors to begin with.
Idiot Dragons who cannot even hold their own against someone like that…how did just 8 of them wipe out the entire race? Or damn close to it. Stupid drakes.
*bzzt*
!!!
Someone saw me through my barrier…and knew exactly where it was. How could that be? I spent decades working on that barrier alone. I spent day and night making sure that nobody could see through it.
*whirrl*
They’re here. I could see the outside with the little barrier I have set up for myself. And out comes…? 2 little girls?
Are they players?
Me: This might be a problem…
One player I had proven myself superior to, but I wasn’t ready for 2 on my own.
*dig* *dig*
I looked through the remains of the player I had killed long ago to look for something I could fend myself off with.
Perhaps this?
I held up an old glowing blade. He fought me and almost killed me with this very blade. Perhaps I can use it like he did against them?
?: Soul Scatter
*CHING! *crack* *crack* *ching* *crumble*
??!
What? My barrier…my humble home.
?: There, now we can see you properly. How are you doing Deep Darkness Dragon Lord?
Me: …players
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
Their confidence and their arrogant attitude confirmed this.
Me: Have you come to die? I have killed your kind before
?: yeah sure, so did we.
?: You know, between you and me, we have a kill count of 261,633 players. Guess who made 261,632 of them?
Me: …how did you even count all of them?
?: Dunno. Once I started slaughtering them left and right after I removed the heteromorphic disadvantage for PKing, they made a list for the Players with the most kills. I’ve never lost my position as first place.
Crap…my senses were telling me they were telling the truth. How can I get out of this situation?
Me: Look, how about we talk it out. What you want and what I want.
Then the other smaller girl turned to me and smiled…oh god, that's such an innocent bright smile with such an evil intent!
???: We need a consistent supply of high-level scroll paper. We have a few sources but they aren't really native to this world and not as strong as you are. No creature can hold super-tier spells except you dragons.
Holy crap! These girls were crazy!
Me: Look. There’s a large Dragon Alliance called the Argland Counc—
?: Already subjugated. There’s only you and a few others now.
*thud*
That was my head being pressed against the ground. While I had my pride as a Dragon Lord, my senses were telling me not to fight these girls. Each of them were in an entirely different league of strength from anything I have ever seen.
Me: …please, grant me mercy.
?: Mercy are for those that deserve life. I see none of that in you.
As my last hope for survival went out…rage overtook its place.
Me: IF YOU WAN’T LET ME LIVE! I’LL KILL YOU ALL HERE WITH ME!
???: Memory Wipe
Me: WHAT?! … WHAT DID YOU DO!
???: Nothing special. Other than the fact nobody remembers that you exist. A world scale memory manipulation per say
Me: No!! But what good would that do you!!
?: As I said, we need you alive so we can skin you for scrolls. If you don’t exist, then nobody is going to disturb us.
As it finally dawned on me, the two girls emitted a frightening aura. One that dominated my mind and the darkness, my own color, was the last thing I saw.
???: We’re not that cruel…we’ll make sure you’re properly knocked out as we skin you for eternity. But just in case…let’s form a contract
I felt a magic binding me as I lost myself to nothing
POV Kara
As sis chucked the unconscious and now frozen solid dragon through the gate, we looked into the next one on our list.
Me: Next one is Vampiric Dragon Lord.
Diana: Send Sarah and Spade to take care of him. Their attributes should match up against an undead Vampire. We go and take Cure Elim, the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord.
Me: What should we do with all the corpses, or the zombies?
Diana: We’ll see what it’s like first. Gate Gecko Moria over once it’s over and make him take control and bring it to the plains. It’ll accelerate the process. That’s an entire country’s worth of undead.
Me: That is if we can peel it off him without destroying them.
Diana: Yes, now off we go. *Gate*
Sis shattered the thin Wild Magic barrier as we walked inside the dark cave. We instantly smelled the corpses and I almost retched…almost. Deep in the cave was a clearing. A clearing large enough to fit, well, a large dragon covered in a Zombie Armor with the count in the hundred thousands in the least.
Elim: How dare you step foot in my sanctuary…! Players?!
Diana: We know you’re not the talker. Your undead mind wouldn’t allow you to be insulted by words anyway. Stop wasting time and get to the point.
Elim: Very well, here to die I suppose?
Me: Undead extermination. That counts you as well. Let’s begin. *ALMIGHTY PUSH*
Elim: What?
Me: *UNIVERSAL PULL*
As I focused the center of the push directly at the zombies and began to pull Cure Elim towards me…
*rip* *rip* *tear* *Stretch!!!*
The Zombie Armor was ripped away from him.
Me: All yours sis.
Diana: I know.
Her hands started to bubble and increase in mass as Magma started to drip down.
Cure Elim began to chant something. Probably Wild Magic traps he prepared for a time like this.
Me: *clap* Your souls aren’t worth shit here Elim. *6 Paths of Reincarnation*
All the souls were freed from his grasp as they left his control and magic.
Me: I understand that you are like a walking World Item…but here’s the thing.
Diana: We created them.
Elim: NOOO!!
Diana: So you were as white as snow huh? Didn’t see that coming under all those gross corpses. Shame that you’re starting to burn under all this magma. But don’t you have proper heat resistance? What sort of Dragon is weak to heat?
*Crash!!* *bubble* *bubble* *sizzle*
Elim: AAAARRRRGGGGGGG
Me: I think that’s enough, but let’s do a little more. Turning into undead is more painful from what I know.
Diana: Agreed.
Me: *Gate* Gecko Moria, would you please come by please?
As Moria walked through the gate and saw the carnage around him, he smiled.
Me: We took extra care not to harm the zombies. Please take control and take them back to the plains, oh and also…
I turned to Cure Elim.
Me: Let’s form a contract. You are not allowed to harm anyone under the protection of us, Society, or under the flag of Ainz Ool Gown.
You must follow my every order, you must also follow the orders of Gecko Moria.
You must never reveal who we are and our powers.
Sucks to be you since this power was laced in haki. I know this contract shredded your undead mind control immunity.
Elim: …no…no…! How could this be! So many years spent in preparation for a player like you!
Me: Silence.
He shut up immediately. He had to, by the power enforcing the contract.
Diana: That’s much better. Moria, please make good use of him.
Moria: Of course. I will be taking my leave now Kara, Diana-sama.
With one fluid movement of his hand, hundreds of thousands of zombies rose up and walked in ranks through the gate. The last to go through was Cure Elim himself.
Me: You should be grateful you’re not being skinned alive for eternity. But hey, there might be something worse out there. Who knows? If we find out, then we’ll put you in as our prototype.
As we reappeared in our room, 2 maids came forward and helped us change and get into the hot bath prepared for us.
Diana: Inform the 5 Elders that the Dragon Lords are out of the scene. We are free to move onto the next step.
