After twenty minutes of the break, Rose suddenly got up and then approached us. She still looked exhausted, but she was also fully awake and a bit tense. Since she usually kept her face blank and emotionless, that was more than a bit troublesome.
“They arrived on this floor and they are moving fast…”
I wondered how she could tell that, but we didn’t have time to talk about it. The swordsman took her words seriously and decided that we had to move.
“I am sorry, My Lady, but we need to move. The boss fight might take a while, and while the boss chamber will be sealed, we will still be inside when the boss is defeated.”
“All right.”
Everyone was wide awake, so we soon headed to the boss chamber… after crossing a set of stairs going downward for a couple of meters, we eventually reached the boss room. The place was covered in ice and a bit of cold mist was covering most of the place as well. Still, there were no signs of the dungeon boss.
The creature only growled when a rock emerged from the ground behind us and sealed the exit and the entrance of the chamber. In the distance, a large silhouette emerged… The frost wolves were two meters tall and they had claws and fangs made of ice as well. Still, this one looked three meters tall and eight meters long. He looked more like a hybrid between a sabertooth tiger and a wolf with those massive fangs.
For a minute, I froze since that wasn’t even the last boss of a titan-level dungeon. Still, it was clear that the beast would be no joke. The creature howled and then several ice spears appeared around it and then flew toward us at insane speeds.

The three guards stepped forward and then blocked the attacks with their weapons, but each impact made them flinch and forced them backward… when the attacks ended, I fired a single arrow at the face of the beast, but with a single, effortless jump, it avoided the attack. The arrow hit the wall on the other side of the room without causing any damage.
The swordsman clicked his tongue, but soon he stepped forward alongside his friends while those two behind me stepped forward as well. They were supposed to be the damage dealers and only attack safely, but it would be hard agaisnt a monster like that.
The creature charged at us and then I fired two other arrows in quick succession, but even while the creature was twenty meters away, it easily avoided the attacks by simply jumping to the side. That was some amazing leg power.
The beast charged toward the swordsman and opened its mouth to bite him, but he stopped the maw with his sword. The spearman stepped forward to stab the beast, but the creature jumped to the side and avoided the attack.
The warrior with the ax jumped with all his might and swung his weapon, the creature effortlessly jumped away again and avoided the attack. However, it soon sensed my intentions and saw one of my arrows heading to where it would land, and right on its face… the creature even before landing summoned an ice wall to protect itself.
The arrow hit the ice wall and didn’t cause any damage, but in the next moment, three others followed… the first exploded and made ice shards fall in all directions, and the other two passed through…
The beast was fast enough to summon another ice wall, that blocked the second arrow, but the third still hit its face and exploded. The monster growled in pain and shook a bit… the blonde girl and her maid stepped forward and attacked the beast from the sides, aiming at its neck. Their attacks landed, but they didn’t pierce the flesh all that much… the maid was using a short knife in the length of a hand, but a lot of blood gushed from the wound she caused.
The creature suddenly coiled its body and then a bunch of ice spikes emerged from its body. The girl and the maid stepped backward and avoided the attacks… the three guards who were about to attack the beast only hit the spikes with their weapons, but they barely broke half of those.
‘The magical power of this thing is no joke… considering how much mana each spell consumes, I could easily be impaled by them.’
That made me feel like increasing my health and my defenses, physical and magical weren't just an option, they were a necessity. In any case, when the beast recovered, it jumped away from us and began to growl in pain… I had aimed at its eyes, but the creature moved too fast. The left side of its face was burned and so were the eyelids of the left eye, but the eye itself was fine.

Just relying on my parameters and the limitations of a weapon like that wasn't a good idea… the next idea, I will have my own personally made weapons to avoid dangerous situations like that.
As if it was howling to the moon, the creature raised its head and made that noise. The entire group raised their guard since we knew that something bad was about to happen.
The beast lowered its head with its mouth open and then widened it, but soon it jumped away and growled when one of my arrows almost entered its maw. A bit of cold left it's mouth and then everyone realized that they almost were hit by a breath attack… that could have a long duration and cause a high amount of damage in a large area… we would have been in a bind if the creature had unleashed the attack.
“Surround the beast, don't let it charge that attack!”
The swordsman roared and his friends soon nodded and then approached the beast. I couldn't tell if they had titanium balls or if they were just crazy. Either way, they deserved a bit of respect.
“Give me an opening…”
The blond girl approached me and said that… it was easy for her to ask such a thing, but I could tell that her swords probably had a combined effect or a secret skill that needed some conditions to be activated.
“I will see what I can do… still, the monster is enraged, it will recover in one second at best.”
“That will be enough…”
I wasn't sure of that, in the best-case scenario, messing up now would make me become the dinner for the boss, in the worst-case scenario, I would end up at the gallows. It was quite a tough situation to be in…
The three guards took turns on attacking the beast and making sure the creature wouldn't have the chance to move away. The spearman was on the left side of the creature and thanks to the burned eyelid, the monster couldn't see very well. Using that, he stabbed the beast on its legs as much as possible while his spear was glowing green. Some blood gushed from the wounds…
When the beast tried to step in toward him, it flinched thanks to the pain and the others used that chance to attack the beast. The creature used one paw to block the ax while the swordsman stabbed the wound that the blond girl had caused before. The beast howled in pain and then summoned the ice spikes to repel them again.
Those three clicked their tongues since they couldn't attack the monster thanks to the ice spikes… if they tried to jump above it, they would be the same as sitting ducks. Still, soon the spikes began to crack and when the beast heard the sound of the warriors stepping forward, it jumped backward… or so it tried. I predicted that way of escaping since the beast used it before.
In quick succession, I launched three enchanted arrows thanks to Rapid Fire. The monster reacted in time to summon an ice wall in the air, but the other arrows exploded in its face. The impact shattered all the ice around and pushed the three guards backward.
The monster fell on the ground with a large crack and then I saw the blond girl taking flight from the side. When she began to fall, she was right above the beast and then collided with both of her swords and stabbed the beast. In the next moments, a fire tornado emerged in front of her and began to toast the beast alive.
The fire tornado lasted for five seconds and eventually dissipated… the blond girl staggered backward thanks to all the mana she used. Despite that, the giant wolf stepped toward her while showing its anger through its remaining eye.
I nocked an arrow and the three warriors charged forward, but soon the beast fell for good and the light vanished from its eyes… when I looked behind me, I saw the maid passing, and then something like and earth spear emerged from the ground. The maid probably used that to propel the girl forward and upward.
You received 450 experience points.
You completed a trial. Please choose between the classes: Lancer, Dual Wielder, and Dark Acolyte.
I was a bit surprised when I saw the last class… it seemed a bit off. I never heard of such a class when I was doing my research. I also felt strangely interested in it, almost as if I didn’t have enough problems as it is with my blood. It took a lot of willpower to make the best choice, apparently.
You obtained the Dual Wielder class.
You obtained the movement speed parameter.
You unlocked the Aptitude: Swift Strikes.
You unlocked the skill: Double Slash.
You unlocked the skill: Whirling Blades.

I sighed in relief when I confirmed that the class was pretty good… it would help me with melee fighting when I have to. In any case, only one problem was solved, there were many others dashing toward us.
The maid confirmed that the girl was fine and then she proceeded to take the mana core from the body… the creature had other valuable materials, but we didn’t have time to take them. Once she found the mana core, she tossed it to me.
‘She heard that, huh?’
In the next moment, the swordsman also tossed the previous mana core to me… Now I had the requirements to upgrade my bow, but I still felt like sighing since my skills were subpar as an enchanter.
In any case, we quickly left the boss' chamber and then checked the next floor. The 21st floor was completely covered in ice, and it was pretty large too. It was essentially a large ice cave with some parts that were covered in frost. As we got ready for the enemies to approach, one of those places that looked like a small hill of smoke cracked, and then a troll emerged from it.
