They continued their journey toward the next zone, a sudden chill descended upon the air, causing a shiver to run down their spines. Before they could react, a ghostly figure materialized before them, its ethereal form flickering in and out of existence like a wisp of smoke.
Knox tightened his grip with a sense of foreboding hanging heavy in the air while Sara and Timmy instinctively moved closer, their eyes fixed on the spectral apparition before them.
The ghostly figure let out an eerie wail, sending a chill down their spines as it lunged forward, its incorporeal form moving with supernatural speed. Without hesitation, Knox conjured orbs of acidic energy, hurling them toward the ghost with all his might.
Sara and Timmy sprang into action, their martial prowess on full display as they darted around the ghost, striking with lightning-fast punches and kicks. Though their blows passed through the ghost's translucent form, they could feel the force of their attacks disrupting its spectral essence.
The ghost let out another unearthly shriek, its form flickering with an otherworldly light as it retaliated with a barrage of ghostly energy. Knox, Sara, and Timmy ducked and weaved, narrowly avoiding the ghost's attacks as they fought with unwavering determination.
As the battle raged on, the ghost's movements grew more erratic. Its form faded as Knox's acidic magic and Sara and Timmy's relentless assaults wore it down. With one final burst of energy, they unleashed a coordinated attack. Their combined efforts overwhelmed the ghost and banished it back to the realm from whence it came.
As the ghost vanished into thin air, leaving only a faint whisper of its presence behind, Knox, Sara, and Timmy shared a moment of silent relief…

The encounter with the ghost left an eerie tension lingering in the air. Their breaths came in shallow gasps as they exchanged wary glances. Timmy's voice broke the silence, filled with a mixture of fear and frustration.
"What the hell was that thing… We're barely in a level 4 zone, and monsters are already almost too much for us," he exclaimed, his youthful features creased with concern.
Knox's expression hardened with determination as he met Timmy's gaze. "He was a level 30," he replied, his voice firm and resolute. "Meaning they only get stronger from here."
Sara, her brow furrowed in contemplation, spoke up, her tone grave. "Knox, we must stop here and grind a bit before continuing. Anything above the level of that ghost will be a real threat to our lives."
Nodding in agreement, Knox turned to face his companions. "Alright," he said, his voice tinged with a hint of reluctance. "We'll stay here for a month or so just to get our levels higher than 30. We'll depart when Timmy hits level 30."
Timmy's expression fell, a hint of frustration evident in his voice. "But I'm only level 19 right now," he protested. "Wouldn't that take more than a month?"
A mischievous grin played across Knox's lips as he responded, his eyes twinkling with confidence. "Normally, yes," he conceded. "But considering you have two people helping you, we could probably get it within a month."
With renewed determination, the trio settled in for the long haul.

The monster before Knox began to crumble away, its form disintegrating into a cloud of fading shadows. He swiftly turned his attention towards Sara and Timmy, who were engaged in intense battles with their respective foes.
With urgency, Knox watched as Sara and Timmy dispatched their opponents skillfully and determinedly. As the last creature fell to the ground, he raised his voice to be heard over the fading echoes of battle.
"Hey! We should head back to the camp for today!" he called out, his words cutting through the air.
Cupping his hand to his ear in a playful gesture, Timmy responded with a wide-eyed expression of confusion. "Whaaaaaaaat?!" he exclaimed, his voice carrying a mix of surprise and amusement.
Rolling his eyes with a fond smile, Knox repeated himself, his tone more emphatic this time. "Just come here!" he urged, gesturing for Timmy and Sara to join him.
Timmy and Sara jogged over to where Knox stood, their faces flushed with exertion from the battle. Timmy couldn't help but inquire once more. "What did you say?"
"I said we should head back to camp," Knox reiterated, his voice patient as he waited for Timmy to catch up.
"Ah, alright," Timmy replied, nodding in understanding as he fell into step beside Knox. With Sara at their side, they made their way back to camp. The evening air filled with a comfortable warmth as they returned to camp. Sara and Timmy exchanged knowing glances, a conspiratorial air about them.
"By the way, Knox isn't tomorrow your Birthd-" Timmy began, excitement evident in his voice.
But before Timmy could finish his sentence, Sara's hand shot out, swiftly covering his mouth to cut him off.
"Hey, we're keeping that a surprise," she whispered into Timmy's ear, a mischievous sparkle dancing in her eyes.
With a sheepish grin, Timmy nodded in agreement, understanding the need to keep their plans secret.
Knox's curiosity was piqued at the mention of his birthday, his eyebrows lifting in surprise. "What's that about?" he inquired, turning his attention to Sara and Timmy.
Sara shot Timmy a warning look, silently urging him to play along. "No-nothing," Timmy replied quickly, his voice slightly muffled by Sara's hand as he attempted to suppress a grin.
Knox couldn't help but chuckle at their secretive behavior, a warm smile spreading across his face as he shook his head in amusement. Though he couldn't quite discern the nature of their whispered conversation, he was grateful for their companionship and camaraderie.
"Alright then," Knox said with a playful smile, deciding to let the matter drop for now. With a shared laugh, they continued returning to camp, the promise of tomorrow's surprise adding an extra layer of excitement to the evening's festivities.
