Knox had been contemplating his options for a while, and after much deliberation, he finally decided to spend the rest of his vacation outside the city. He knew that this would mean he wouldn't be back in the city for a while, but he felt that it was the best decision for him at the time.
After making his decision, Knox went home to pack his belongings. He carefully selected the items he would need for his extended stay away from home. He wanted to ensure he had everything he needed to make his time away as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Before leaving, he took the time to say goodbye to his parents and brother. He wanted to let them know he wouldn't be back for a few months so they wouldn't worry about him. They were sad to see him go but understood that he needed some time away.
Knox embarked on his adventure after packing his bags and saying farewell. Before departing, he collected the boy from the guild, as the young lad was insistent on joining him. Bringing the boy along was not Knox's initial plan, but he felt guilty about leaving the child behind, especially considering he couldn't have been more than 13 years old. After walking for a while, he began to feel bored. They had only walked silently for the entire trip, so Knox finally asked the boy some personal questions.
“What’s your name?”
"Timothy, but everyone calls me Timmy, sir," he said.
“Well, Timmy, seeing that we’ll be traveling together for the foreseeable future, I think you should tell me more about yourself. The most important stuff is age, system level, and combat experience. Also, stop calling me sir.”
“Ah… Sorry uhm”
“You can call me Knox.”
“Okay, Knox. I’m 13 years old, level 2, and have no combat experience.”
“I see. Well, that’ll be a problem. I think that means I should train you, huh? This will be my first time training someone.” He chuckled sheepishly. “Since my younger brother was always better than me at everything.”
“I saw you kill all the goblins, and I think you’re strong!” He said with eyes of admiration.
Knox patted Timmy on the head and said, "Thank you very much, Timmy. How about we start training right now? It’s already getting dark; therefore, we’ll set up camp here.”
“Yes! Let’s start training!” Timmy said enthusiastically.

Knox spent the next few days teaching Timmy the basics of martial arts. They went through different techniques, such as punches, kicks, and blocks. Knox was patient with Timmy and gave him plenty of time to learn each method.
As they trained, Knox noticed that Timmy was a quick learner. He was impressed by the boy's dedication and enthusiasm. Timmy was eager to learn and improve, and Knox was happy to be his teacher.
As they continued their training, Knox began to see improvements in Timmy's skills. He was becoming more confident and skilled with each passing day. Knox was proud of his progress and encouraged him to keep practicing.
One night, as they were sitting by the campfire, Knox asked Timmy about his goals.
"What do you want to achieve, Timmy?"

"I want to be like you, Knox. I want to be strong and protect people," Timmy said.
Knox smiled at him. "That's a great goal, Timmy. With hard work and practice, you can achieve anything you want."
From that day on, Knox continued to train Timmy, helping him become a skilled fighter. As they traveled together, they faced many challenges, but they faced them together as a team. With each new challenge, Timmy grew stronger and more confident, thanks to Knox's guidance and training.
Timmy leveled up once when Knox told him to fight a wolf monster alone. To Knox's delight, he won without any severe injuries. Knox was happy that Timmy was in his company on his journey. They were planning to head toward the level 2 zone where Knox would be farming the monsters for level-ups, and Timmy would sometimes join him when Knox thought he could handle a beast. Knox and Timmy continued their journey, traveling through different landscapes and terrains. They walked through forests, crossed rivers, and climbed mountains.
During their travels, they encountered different monsters and creatures. Knox taught Timmy how to defend himself against each monster they encountered.
As they walked, Knox shared stories of his past adventures with Timmy. He talked about the different places he had been to and the different challenges he had faced. Timmy listened intently, fascinated by Knox's stories.
They camped in different places each night, setting up their tent and starting a fire to cook their meals. They talked about their day, their progress in training, and their plans for the future.
As they traveled, Timmy's skills continued to improve. He was becoming more confident in his abilities, and Knox was proud of his progress. They were becoming a great team, working together to overcome any obstacle that came their way.
Despite the challenges they faced, Knox and Timmy enjoyed their journey. They were once more sitting down by the fire when Knox decided to ask Timmy a question.
“So, what level are you now?”
“Level 4.”
“Great.”
“Can I ask what level you are, Knox?”
“I'm level 9.” Knox looked at his stats to see how much he’s improved.

He was content with his progress. Knox was lost in thought when Timmy interrupted him with a question.
“Knox… can we spar?”
“Mhm? What did you say? Sorry, I wasn’t listening.”
“Can we spar?”
“Sure, if you want to.”
They both got up and took a fighting stance a little distance from their camp. During their sparring session, Knox quickly gained the upper hand. Timmy tried his best to block and dodge, but Knox's attacks were too fast and strong.
Knox landed a hard punch to Timmy's stomach, causing him to double over and gasp for air. Knox took advantage of the opening and landed a series of quick jabs to Timmy's face. Timmy stumbled backward, dizzy and disoriented.
Knox could tell that Timmy was struggling to keep up, so he ended the sparring session before he caused any serious harm.
"Alright, Timmy, that's enough for today. You're doing well, but you still have a lot to learn," Knox said as he helped Timmy to his feet.
Timmy looked up at Knox, his face bruised and battered. "I'm sorry, Knox. I'll do better next time," he said.
Knox smiled at him. "Don't worry about it, Timmy. You're making progress, and that's what's important. Just keep practicing, and you'll get there."
Timmy nodded, determined to keep improving. Although he had been defeated, he knew that he had learned a lot from the sparring session. He was grateful for Knox's guidance and knew he was lucky to have such a skilled teacher.
Timmy couldn't help but feel a little discouraged as they walked to their campsite. He had been hoping to fight better against Knox, but he knew he still had a long way to go before he could match his teacher's skills.
Despite his disappointment, Timmy was determined to keep working hard. He knew that with Knox's help, he could become a skilled fighter and achieve his goal of protecting others.
