As Jun went up the stairs, Madder's skill was dispelled, causing Madder to be released from Jun’s shadow. As Madder appeared in the Tavern, it only took one second for everyone in the Tavern to receive a notice that a Pirate was in their midst. Screens appeared upon every player in the town, more or yet the entire zone, that a Red ??? was nearby. However, players who were nearby could see the threshold of closeness like a GPS signal telling you how close you are to your destination. Those who were looking upon Madder peered at a woman donned in a shadowy robe that emitted dark energy as if flowing like water from it. Her hair was styled with 1 strand of white while the rest was jet black. On each of her fingers wore a ring, and her ears pierced with 2 earrings each. They could tell it was an Elite player. Luckily Julia was already in her room as well. Madder understood what she must do. “I don’t want any trouble, just passing-.”
And before she could finish her sentence, enemies began lunging at her with attacks. Madder dodges each. “I don’t want to do this! This seems like such a good city.” Just then a sword missed her by a hair and dug into a table. "And a nice crowd!” The Tavern owner held her counter as the barrage of attacks came their way.
Meanwhile, those who were near the city who saw the announcement saw a beacon in the sky pointing down at Madder's location. Only a few high-level players could decipher those Red Question marks. As quickly as they saw it, it was as quick as they arrived at her location. Over this player's head read Enighma and he read the name of their fellow players. “What is the has been E-mmortal Madder-6 doing in the backwoods?” Surrounding Madder were many fizzling characters but still an onslaught of characters engaging her. Each of them adds to her PK score.
“You are such a walking treasure!” The Enighma member stated. “The more you kill, the more your Bounty becomes. So go ahead keep it up I won’t stop you!” He said menacingly, laughing. Madder-6 stabbed a dagger through a player and afterwards kicked another to the sky. She then jumped into the shadow of a player and grabbed another into the shadow. From that shadow connecting to another, she threw a dark energy at another player quickly dispersing the threat. She opened her hand and grabbed the air and a scythe appeared. She swung it, hitting 6 players right in front of her, slicing right through them, and sending them back to their spawn.
The Enighma players were ready to jump in when suddenly they noticed a debuff on their players. “Sir what is this?” one of the Enigma players said aloud.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
As the Enighma player read the debuff it read. “Manifest….” It seemed to be pending and dropping over time.
“You know Euphor wouldn’t like it that you're engaging me without permission.”
The Enighma player then stood back as he knew the skill it took to engage 20 players at once but also pin-target each of the Enighmas players with the Single Target Manifest skill. Although hesitant he still was boastful as their numbers were greater than Madder, and their level higher than most she just defeated. “All pirates are Kill-On-Sight!” The Enighma player said. “Everyone knows that!” All of the Enighmas players cheered and readied themselves. “It’s too bad, I warned you Madder-6,” said warily.
“Level 15?” The Enighma player said laughingly. “So you're not going to unveil?”
She shook her head. “There’s no need for small fry.”
The Enighmas players then pounced Madder-6. They surrounded her, each striking at once. As she attempted to move she then felt stuck to the ground. Not only was her shadow stuck to the ground but her feet were planted with ice. The Enighma player leader then appeared in front of Madder-6. “This is the end for you!”
Just then Madder-6 inspected this player. “Gorou, huh? Level 45 Arch-Warrior. Let me show you how skill triumphs in this game.” Just then Gorou slashed through Madder-6 but it was a shadow copy. "When did you-" he muttered. When he blinked next, he was at the respawn. “What?”
As he sat up, he noticed the other Enighma players spawning in. “That Madder is pretty tough, he thought.” As he got up he noticed the Manifest Debuff still on, but the timer was not going down.” Gorou then received a notification from a Quest Guide. It read, “Hunted.” When he looked at the Quest Description it read, You are now Cursed with Madness. The player attempted to end the quest but he couldn’t. As he got up he noticed the players' nearby faces were all smiling scarily and eyes wide open. “Is this what she meant?” Suddenly out of his shadow emerged a figure, but it wasn’t a player Quest Guide, it was an NPC-Quest Guide with a Red Health Bar and Question mark for a level. “What the!” he screamed. Slaying him once again.
At the Tavern, Madder-6 let out a sigh of relief but knew that it wouldn't be over until the Sun came back up. After a day in-game time, Jun came back down and saw the bar decimated and the Shop Owner panting and wiping sweet. “What happened here?”
Suddenly a group of players barged in. In that instant, Madder-6 returned to Jun’s Shadow. Julia then emerged from her room as well and the Red Question mark event ceased. “Have any of you seen the Pirate player?”
“The Outlaw! That’s Odd I could’ve sworn she was right here” The shop owner said.
“What Pirate player?” Jun said surprised.
“If there was a Pirate I would bring it to justice!” Julia yelled gallantly. She raised her sword to the sky, piercing the ceiling. “Owe!”. In the air, a 1HP heart was being removed from a player. ‘Sorry!”
“Let’s get going. Before…” Jun started but was cut off. In the town, the town’s bell began ringing.“
‘“Before the…” Jun said. He facepalmed himself. Although in the shadow none was the wiser of Madder-6 rubbing her hands together and smiling. “You know the drill, we're taking it down.”
