Sean raised his hand. “Vegan! We have enough for the ritual.”
Although Jun looked towards them, it was Vegan that came to their side. “Good, good.” Due to all the monsters Jun hadn't noticed but an altar spawned nearby. “Okay, you two go deposit the Spring Leaves!” He commanded. Sean and Gwen walked towards the Altar. They gave each other a nod and then deposited the Spring Leaves.
“I should've known,” Madder whispered to Jun.
“Don't you guys read patch notes?” Vegan yelled. “Spring Leavers weren't the material, it was Spriggan Petals!”
The altar let out a large hiss and began to move as if mechanically made. The Statue began to rumble until finally a light grew from its center and a portal emerged. “We've opened it!” Gwen yelled in astonishment. The moment was savoury, as Gwen and Sean gave each other a high five, but it was short-lived as Vegan, came between them, pushing them aside to reach the portal. “Finally, the Ursine Statue!” He raised his arms in the air. “Now bless us with your presence of Bloody Trent Ursine!”
It was then that Madder would remember something very crucial and smirked. “So that's why you're here…” It was a short thought, but instead of Unveiling from his shadow, he returned. The moon gazed upon them, and the monsters. Suddenly they stopped moving. “Huh?” Aethera grunted. She was curious and knew something was wrong. “I Don't like the look of this Yggsalad.”
While the monsters bathed in the moon, they began to glow and were absorbed into the Statue. “What a fantastic haul. The Blood Orb should be the maximum quality!” There was a meter above the Statue that read, Level with colours from blue to green, to yellow and lastly red. As the monsters were absorbed the meter slowly raised. “We planned this ever so carefully! Because of the Blood Moon, most friendly characters would leave the PVP zone, but also the space they would take would no longer be occupied. Look down there!” Jun then looked upon the mountainside and saw masses of skeletons. “Where did those spawn from?”
Aethera grabbed her spear and threw it at a skeleton but it bounced off with an immune notification popping up over the monster. “And they're immune.” She junked back towards Julia. “You okay?”
Julia rubbed her head and patted her armour. “Let me try, '' she then raised her sword in the air and yelled. “Smite”. The attack hit the Skeleton but the damage was not enough to destroy it. “Darn it.”
Although the damage wasn't fatal, it was telling. “So they are weak to Holy Damage?” He whispered.
While Jun had learned the meter was finally red and the Statue castrated to crack. Out of the portal came hands gripping the sides of the portal open from the inside. Out emerged a dark red beast. Its body was covered by red fur, but it had 3 antlers emerging from its head.
Above its head read “Completed Blood Trent Ursine, Level 400!”
“I thought you said it was level 100!” Aethera yelled.
From the shadow of the caravan, Madder put up a sigh emoji. “Maybe the normal spawn, but an over 100% absorption of the area...”
When the boss monster was summoned Vegan looked at its level as well. “Level 400!” From the angle of the level, there seemed to be a distortion as if there was more than one number in the level. What Vegan hadn’t noticed was that Madder had travelled directly to him, and used the lettering from the boss’s level to stay hidden from her Pirate Status as she emerged from a shadow. It was only for a split second but a world notification was announced for the bounty of Madder-6, but something was different. Unfortunately Vegan being a mid-grade player couldn’t see either, but for the eyes of a pro player, being at the right place, and right time, they could easily pin it on a wall. Madder-6 Bounty had decreased significantly. “If you kill him Madder, your bounty will be fine!” Jun yelled.

“Madder?” Vegan thought for a second, but it was too late. Madder had jumped into Vegan’s shadow.
“What is she up to?” Jun thought. The moment was short because what stood in front of them was a Level 400, Complete Blood Trent Ursine. The two clerics began to run for the caravan, but the Ursine emerged, slamming its paw at anything it could see. “It must be targeting anything that's not a player first, but why?” Aethera yelled.
The two clerics would jump for the caravan but the Ursine quickly slammed it, dealing 250,000 damage.
“MY CARAVAN!” Jun yelled. He fell to his knees and began crying laughably. “Why!” In his inventory, the caravan would return damaged, requiring materials to restore it, at a fee of 100,000 gold. “That’s going to be all my savings!” He began pounding the floor.
While the two clerics lay on the floor, Julia and Aethera, sprung into battle. “Well, the worst that’ll happen is to respawn right?” Aethera yelled.
“I guess you're right!”
The Ursine let out a roar. Only those in the vicinity could hear it, and even more were affected by it. Each player received a new status. “Under the Blood Moon.”
As Vegan would read the skill debuff, he laughed. “Now you will know what it's like to be me!”
Although it may have been a while since we had introduced Vegan, Madder would read the next part of the Under the Blood Moon status. “Each skill used will have a multiplier of -X health per skill cast.”
There was no time for rest. The Ursine swiped towards the Clerics, but Aethera quickly sprung into action, evading the attack with the two on her shoulders. “Crap, you’re strong!” Gwen yelled!” Aethera was running quickly in the area. “Julia now!”
“Smite!” She yelled. As her smite skill would trigger, she would see a swirl of red blood like an aura surrounding her. “Aethera what's going on? Look!”
The red aura was also around her when she used the dash skill. Although it was a skill that didn’t use mana, it was still a skill that used stamina. “This buff even works on skills that don't require mana!” Aethera yelled.
Vegan would begin charging up. Red energy formed around him. The effect of the Blood Moon could be seen as red blood swirled from his body, but instead of causing his health to lower, it seemed to increase. “Look no further, but it's time for Vegan the Crimson Magus to rise.”
Vegan then squatted, took a low stance, and began chanting and leapt into the air, flying high into the sky. Charging up a skill. As the Blood Moon debuff was supposed to take damage off, as a Crimson Mage, his skill already took life away from him. From the way the developers programmed the game, the multiplier would cause a net of health used from using skills for any class that used health as a resource. This meant the Vegan was healing for the amount of skill resources needed. If he would charge a skill, each second he would charge which meant the skill had infinite potential of the cap the skill could be held. This limit was 1 minute for maximum damage. “I know we are not usually allies, but hold it off for 1 Minute, and I will destroy it with one blast.”
Jun, Aethera, and Julia turned around and began walking.
Jun would then feel a tug on his shoulder. He turned and saw the blonde cleric with the face of a puppy dog. “Please!”
“I mean, I guess?” Jun said whimsically.
Aethera then slapped Jun in the back of his head. They both took damage.
Sean walked towards the group and explained. “When we had checked the community boards, we noticed a request for help gathering a class change material for Crimson Magus.”
They immediately looked at Vegan and back at Sean with a glare.
“We too want to one day become Crimson Maguses.”
They then looked at Vegan and back at Sean with a glare.
“The Crimson Magus is a class that stems from the priest tree and mage tree. After Priest, you become a Priester, then a Priestess. It also requires you to have 10 levels in Mage which is when a class would generally be up for class change. The dual-class is called the Sangolyte.
They looked at Vegan and back at Sean with a glare.
“He’s a Priest Class!” Jun yelled. “I haven’t seen him heal anyone once!”
“Well the Crimson Magus is an offensive Duo-Class that harps on using its health instead of mana, and banks on having a large reservoir of health.” Jun then thought back to when they fought the Hillsbane and came to a realization. That is why the Hillsbane splattered him so easily. “He must’ve drained his health when we fought that.” Gwen looked down still holding onto Jun. “Yggsalad, the reason why we're here is we both wish to class change. Vegan is a Blood Sangolyte Class Guide. We require Spring Leaves as a class change item as well, but he also needs…”
They looked at Vegan, but before they could look back at Gwen, the Ursine’s paw towards them.
“Well, that’s it. For us!” Jun yelled.
“It was nice partying with you guys!” Sean yelled.
“I have no regrets,” Julia yelled.
“Maybe we’ll meet in the next life!” Aethera yelled.
All players held their hands, linked to one another in the face of the Ursine’s massive paw. They each closed their eyes, with a smile on their faces.
