Jason was done with these zombies. They weren't even powerful. Normal rank monsters were never meant to be killed with gold rank afflictions. The moment his blade sliced into them, they burst apart in a shower of necrosis touched organs, blood, and skin like macabre piñatas. Unfortunately, his wish came true.
Consuming Shadow, gold rank, living shadow
They were all along the walls, jumping out from the shadows, swallowing everything. But they were not the darkest thing in the facility. And even though they were incorporeal, they bled all the same.
Bleed for me
[Haemorrhage]

Spell (wounding, unholy, blood).
Cost: Moderate mana.
Cooldown: None.
* Effect (iron): Inflicts or refreshes [Bleeding] and [Sacrificial Victim]
[Bleeding] (affliction, wounding, blood): Deals ongoing damage by causing or increasing blood loss. As a wounding effect, this condition absorbs and negates a certain amount of healing after which, this condition is removed.

Entities without blood can bleed while under this effect. Cannot be cleansed while any blood or poison affliction is in effect.
* Effect (gold): Inflicts [Dismemberment] and [Strained Wounds].
[Dismemberment] (poison, blood, stacking): Limb and large tissue regeneration is significantly impeded. This can be only be cleansed by sufficient regeneration.
[Strained Wounds] (affliction, curse, magic, unholy, stacking): Wounds left uncovered, untreated, or unhealed are widened over time.
His looting power was coming in handy, getting him the [Midnight Onyx] and enough dark quintessence. Jason missed Shade's company. Then he felt something he hadn't in a long time. Builder cultists. But they were more of the forcibly converted than true followers. Significantly weaker than him now.
[Converted Machine Servant], bronze rank
Jason continued to cleave through them like a chainsaw. There was an odd spot with auras pushing back on the other side of the wall. So, like any normal gold rank, he smashed straight through the wall. On the other side were reddish, faceless lizards. The first true test of his skills.
[Demonic Reptiliae], gold rank
There were six of them in the dark hallway, violently tearing apart the security officers, replicating their horrific screams. But Jason wasn't here for them. He teleported on top of one, casting two spells.
Your fate is to suffer

[Inexorable Doom]

Path of Shadows
Special Ability/Conjuration (dimension, teleport, darkness).
Base cost: Varies.
Cooldown: Varies.
* Effect (iron): Teleport using shadows as a portal. You must be able to see the destination shadow. This effect is a special ability with a low mana cost and no cooldown.
* Effect (bronze): You can sense nearby shadows and teleport to them without requiring a line of sight. By increasing the cost to moderate, small shadows can be enlarged to serve as viable portals at both the ingress and egress points. Alternatively, conjure a shadow gate between two locations on a regional scale. The distant gate must appear in a location you have previously visited. This effect is a conjuration with a very high mana cost and a 10-minute cooldown. The iron-rank effect can still be used while this ability is on cooldown.
* Effect (silver): You can now conjure a long-range shadow gate with double the range of the bronze-rank gate. This ability has a one-hour cooldown and also incurs the 10-minute cooldown of the bronze-rank shadow gate ability.
* Effect (gold): Any shadow you pass through will become unusable by any foreign power and boost any of your powers used in that shadow for a short time. Portal range and capacity increased.
Ability limitations, [Path of Shadows]
Capacity (Gold 9): 9 gold rank living entities. Alternatively, 90 silver rank living entities, 900 bronze-rank living entities, 9,000 iron-rank living entities or 90,000 normal rank living entities.
Capacity is reduced by taking large amounts of non-living material through, either directly or in dimensional bags. Items in dimensional storage generated by personal powers do not count against the capacity.
Range (In Kilometres) - Bronze: 40. Silver: 800. Gold: 16,000. The destination must have been previously visited, before or after obtaining this ability.
Afflictions: [Bleeding], [Sacrificial Victim], [Necrotoxin], [Blood From Stone], [Dismemberment], [Strained Wounds], [Inescapable], and [Persecution] inflicted on [Demonic Reptiliae]
They were strong and fast for gold rank. Jason continued hacking away as they emitted various human screeches. Suddenly, one moved incredibly quickly, cutting a gash into him. His amulet was ticking over, bestowing more healing upon him with every passing moment.
[Amulet of the Dark Guardian], (silver rank, [growth], legendary)

Jason weaved around their attacks while mercilessly stabbing their red skin, pockmarking it with the black stain of necrosis. As their flesh started rotting off, they started to realise the mistake they had made. But Jason wasn't going to let them escape.

* Effect (silver): Damage per affliction can be increased by increasing the mana cost to high, very high, or extreme. This reduces the cooldown to 20 seconds, 10 seconds or none. Consecutive, extreme-cost incantations have truncated incantations.

* Effect (gold): Boosts any bleed, blood, or poison related effects by an extreme amount for a short time after each cast.
As the first lizard fell apart in a rotting clump of meat, the other five started to move faster. Jason was forced to teleport more and more to avoid being hit. Eventually all of them died, necrosis overrunning their bodies, falling apart, flesh like rotten fruit.
Mobile Task Force (MTF) Headquarters in Site [REDACTED]
"Colonel?"
"Go ahead Standish."
"Captains Jose, Marcia and Adam on video call as you asked."
"Thank you"
Melandez cleared his throat.
"Ladies and gentlemen, there have been multiple containment breaches over the course of the last few hours. Standard protocol has failed, and the outer doors are close to breaking. We need to solve this problem soon before it gets any worse."
"How did this happen? And why were we not informed?"
"You are being informed Captain Adam. SCP 426 was an unknown quantity. And now we know how dangerous he is. He broke containment and released a swarm of leeches that replenish every time they feed. I just watched a recording of him tearing through many other SCPs that we couldn't hurt with anti-tank weapons. He seems to cause massive necrosis with his dagger and can cast multiple spells that seem to enhance the necrosis or bleeding caused. Shit, he even took a full hit from an instance of 939 and shrugged it off in a few seconds."
Shocked silence followed.
"Well Colonel, how do we stop this? He clearly could tear through the entire company with his powers."
"Good question Captain Jose. That's where I come in. Remember the Nevada Incident?"
Everyone nodded. A rift had opened in the Nevadan desert 187 years ago. D-class sent in came back reporting a whole different world in there. After 76 hours, the rift had broken, unleashing a hoard of various nearly unkillable anomalies. Immediate nuclear response was authorised and carried out. Despite still not killing them, it had weakened them enough to the point containment was possible. It was where 939 had originally come from.
"Anomalous materials harvested from that rift were used to create weapons that could hurt them. It also created cubes and stones that could bestow the user powers. It's been described as 'unlocking a part that had always been there'. These men and women have been growing in power ever since by fighting monsters inside other rifts. They have increased lifespans, strength, speed, durability, you get it. They were permitted by 05 to stay on the Foundation team like Dr Jack Bright was. The enhanced weapons program was named Project Sun's Glare and team were named Project Broken Glass. We have reason to believe he is like them. If he is just as or more powerful, we have an Apollyon class on our hands."
Everyone knew how bad this would be.
"They will hopefully stop him. Your job is to kill the leeches infesting the facility and containing escaped SCP's. Adam, we have upgraded flamethrowers that should work on the leeches for Fire Eaters. Jose and Hammer Down with Team Broken Glass should take care of 426 and Maria with Nine Tailed Fox will focus on capturing escaped SCP's. Everyone understand?"
A general murmur of consent was heard.
"Good. It's time to fight back."
