The skyship had finished condensing and was ready to go when Jason exited his soul realm.
"Wow. That's a new level of absolutely fucking awesome."
The large ship was hovering over the sand. A large ship with streams of blue, red, orange, purple and gold light shining beneath the cracks and lines in the matte black hexagonal panels. A streamlined nose with four large support wings helped keep the lift. Blue and orange turrets were mixed with red and green ones all around the outside of the ship. The top was a small pyramid, with a massive kaleidoscopic eye on the peak that looked like a hole in reality itself.
"Shade?"
"Yes Mr Asano, I know but can you please not name it that?"
"Red, blue, orange, green and black. I think that's enough for the fair ship Voltron."
Massive letters spelling Voltron splayed across the side of the ship.
"Shame it wasn't a helicopter. I could've gone all out Airwolf."
"I'm sorry for your loss,' said Shade, sarcasm streaming through his voice.
The ship started moving the moment Jason entered it.
"Cool, autopilot. Set course for The Great Pyramids. They most likely have eyes there. They won't get away again."
In a facility located in [BLOCKED].
"Clive?"
"Yes sir?"
"How did we not notice that the Church of the Broken God had hollowed out Ayres Rock? And stored an army's worth of disciples as well as their main fucking leader in there?"
"We recovered an immensely intricate carved sphere from the main power station with sigils all over it. Blocks any kind of anything we point at it. Only if you look straight at it without anything blocking a line of sight, even glass, can you see it. Not a memetic hazard, but just really hard to find. Can't even use CCTV cameras to monitor it. Origin unknown, but likely a gift from the god himself. We're designating it Euclid Class and storing it in Site 63. Possible degradation to Safe class due to just sitting there is about all its capabilities. That's why."
"Fine. Get me on the phone with the leader of Broken Glass. It's about time we ended this mess."

End of transmission
Jason was making a sandwich when he sensed multiple presences flying behind his ship.
"Looks like it worked. Okay, let's see what these weapons can do."
All of the turrets on the ship swiveled around and opened fire. The blue and orange turrets used disruptive force damage and resonating force damage. The red and green ones used necrotic damage and corrosive damage. Most shots missed though as the five gold rankers took evasive action. The female diamond rank just barreled through it, uncaring for the damage.
"The fuck? How is a gold rank affecting me with this shit?" Tassie shouted to the wind. She started blocking the shots with her powers, wary of the unnecessary damage.
Essence (fire)
[Flame Barrier]
Spell (barrier, elemental).
Cost: Moderate mana.
Cooldown: 30 seconds.
* Effect (iron): Summons a barrier of flames on the ground for 20 seconds or until destroyed. Effective against magic attacks. Anything passing through will take fire damage. Very effective against water attacks or water attuned beings.
* Effect (bronze): Anything passing through will be inflicted with [Fire]. Allies will no longer be affected by the flames.
[Fire], (elemental, damage-over-time, stacking): The target of this will take fire damage until the fire has been put out.
* Effect (silver): By increasing the cost to high, this can be summoned mid air. Any flame spells cast by allies passing through will have increased effect.
* Effect (gold): The cost can be increased to extreme to summon a second [Flame Barrier] incurring the 30 second cooldown. It can also be lowered to low mana cost to summon a maximum of 15 small, weak [Ember Barrier]s. This use incurs no cooldown.
* Effect (diamond): Enemies going through are inflicted with [Flame Burn]. Fire attuned beings are now affected by [Flame Barrier].
[Flame Burn], (affliction, wounding, elemental): The target cannot regenerate a small portion of health naturally. Must be healed by a spell or boon.
[Magma Plate]
Conjuration (armor, elemental).
Cost: High mana.
Cooldown: None.
* Effect (iron): Summons a large suit of full plate armor around the user, made of magma. This increases resistance to cold effects.
* Effect (bronze): If a piece of the armor is broken, it will explode with no harm to the wearer.
* Effect (silver): Gives the wearer the boon [Fired Up]. Armor pieces can be manually detonated.
[Fired Up] (boon, elemental): Any spells involving fire have their mana cost reduced.
* Effect (gold): Mana cost may be increased to very high to summon [Lava Plate], with increased durability, burning shrapnel explosions when a piece is broken, and damaging weapons that touch it. [Lava Plate] will slowly cleanse any cold or cold adjacent afflictions or effects on you.
* Effect (diamond): All allies within close proximity gain the boon [Fired Up] when this armor is worn. If [Lava Armor] is fully broken gain an instance of [Pure Flames].
[Pure Flames], (boon, holy): All fire spells now use holy fire. This has increased effect against fire attuned beings and meltable objects. Fire afflictions are harder to cleanse and do more damage. Any fire in place before this will not be changed over.
Tassie was not happy. This insolent brat had a chance to die quickly by the lizard. Even she couldn't do anything permanent to it. And he killed it. The church hideout was a fluke. That clockwork monster had been stronger than anything she had seen in centuries. Her team was nearly dead when the brat woke up and teleported away. He would not get away a third time.
Jason was calmly eating his sandwich on the roof deck as they got closer.
"Mr Asano, may I suggest a more active effort in defense?"
Jason pointed at a gold rank and cast a spell.
Bleed for me
Immediately, the gold rank coughed up blood and dropped a little. Shade shot him a flat look.
"Fine. When they get here."
Shade sighed.
