An incident that changed my life:

In my early 20s, I used to watch a lot of anime porn, and one time when I was too busy watching that, my five-year-old nephew walked in on me. Normally, I would close my laptop and pretend it never happened, but this time, I took the more challenging decision and let the boy watch it.

I thought to myself, he is going to start seeing porn soon; I am just expediting the process. Also, if his first porn was anime porn, then the sky was the limit!

Unfortunately, my sister didn't share the same enthusiasm as me; this is what we call tunnel vision. She couldn't see the big picture; clearly, she was not leadership material!

I learned this early in life, and it has stayed with me as I gained more experience and took on leadership roles: As a leader, sometimes you have to make hard decisions.

Today, I am announcing that I am making one such challenging decision: I am laying off one thousand employees.
