As much as I hate to admit it, using Zenith to gain the trust of The Dragonlord was actually a brilliant plan. That sounds cruel as heck when you think about it. Why would you allow a living human to be killed just for the sake of gaining trust to someone that is more chaotic than evil. I’m really like starting to become a monster every time I question this. Did I do the right thing in not avenging Zenith’s death? It wasn’t like she was dead for good because she kind of revived back because of her Phoenix-like nature.
But in any case, the one that I despised the most, Yumiko, freed us from the shackles of these dastardly empty cells. Now that we got out of that anti-magic cell, we can finally use magic. I got to be honest, not being able to use your magic for at least a week feels like you haven’t ate for days. It’s almost like using magic has become part of our lives.
“Why do we need to steal the Dragon Amulet?” I asked Yumiko as we made our way through the cells.
Yumiko tilted her head as we continue to walk and said, “That thing is what controls his dragon. If we steal the amulet, he won’t be able to fully control it”
“Fully…control? Wait…You mean there’s more to it than that?”
Yumiko giggles, “He also has that sword that allows him to control that dragon. Did you know that the dragon is actually an Elder Dragon?”
“An Elder Dragon?”
Then suddenly, out from my shirt pocket, Recordia explained, “As the name stated, an Elder Dragon is a type of dragon that is years older compared to normal dragons. They have stood by the passage of time and experienced hundreds and thousands of events. They are both knowledgeable and strong in terms of experiences. Recordia proudly explains that as she puts on a tiny pair of glasses.”
“Yeah, what that little thing of yours said.” Yumiko nodded. She then sighed and told me, “You can’t seem to catch a break from your entire dragon past. It just comes to you wherever you go.”
I replied to her by saying, “All of this happened because I ate that crystal…”
“Did you know? That the Infinitum Crystal that you ate was supposed to be delivered to Nova?”
“I didn’t know that…How do you know that?”
“The 4th Champions of Chaos told me. But apparently, the delivery was stopped halfway by a certain Cyclone.”
“Cyclone Flash…” My cousin…He saved me that time. I wonder if he’s fine right now…
“The only thing I don’t know is why a Cyclone would get involved in this?”
I don’t really know for sure but as far as I can remember, my ancestor Cyclone had an amazing story. He brought down a dark organization with the help of his friends. This group of friends was called, Stardust. They were all estranged people that used to be a star in their life but their star power ran out, slowly killing off their life. It was until my ancestor came in and helped them out for them to realize that even a dying star can make the sky beautiful. The way that they did was simply joining Stardust. I could tell more if I know about him but most of his records were long gone except for the family book that my parents had.
“Should Recordia look into this, White? Recordia asked The New Master.”

“Can you?”
“Recordia nodded and said, Sure thing. But it might take a while before Recordia is able to find something. Recordia’s specs are not that high compared to a supercomputer.”
“What the heck is that thing, White?” Yumiko was annoyed. “Her voice is annoying. Can I kill her?”
“White! Recordia quickly hides inside White’s pocket as she said that.”
“Can you not tease her? She’s just a little fairy.”
“Fine…fine…what about you shorty? What do you think about that…fairy?” Yumiko was asking Zenith.
Zenith who was right beside me answered, “She’s…cute.”
“Cute?” Yumiko said in disgust, “I didn’t know that you would be into that kind of stuff, shorty.”
“But aren’t small little thing supposed to be cute?” Rose interrupted her.
“Small little thing? Are a bunch of bugs looks cute to you, Rose?”
“Okay…you got me there, Yumiko.” Rose quickly dropped her debate.
Recordia has been riding on my pocket ever since we got out of the shell. I’m not saying that she was heavy or anything but the fact that her flight ability was limited and how slow her spec was in looking up for something. I might have an idea on how to help her out in both of those things. I might take it into consideration once we’re done with Vatherion.
Anyway, we finally reached the chamber which kept the Dragon Amulet. We looked around and saw that the Dragon Amulet was placed on top of a display counter. Nobody was guarding the chamber at all. This just sounds like a blaring warning to me. The fact that nobody was on guard to such an important item. Yumiko might be planning to trick me again.
So I stopped and asked her again, “This is a trap is it, Yumiko?”
“Are you seriously thinking that I might trick you again?”
“Fool me twice, you got me there. But fool me thrice…now that’s a problem, Yumiko.”
Yumiko sighed and said, “Fine…if you don’t want to steal that thing then I should tell you that The Crystal Roc is about to be revived in just a few more hours.”
I don’t know if I should really trust her for the third time but I had no other options at the time. I sighed in defeat and ordered everyone to stay at their position while I carefully sneak toward the Amulet. I crept and crept until The Dragon Amulet was right in front of me…
“The Dragon Amulet…no, The Chaos Dragon Amulet. It is a far stronger but sinister form compared to the normal one.” I grab onto it when suddenly the earth begins to shake.
“Why is it shaking? Recordia is getting dizzy with all of this. Recordia feels like vomiting inside the pocket.”
“No, Recordia! No! No vomiting in my pocket!” I quickly replied to her as soon as she said that.
The shaking keeps getting stronger when suddenly the ceilings shattered; revealing the Elder Dragon, Taloncryst was the one that destroyed the ceilings. Vatherion was riding on its back.
“What are you doing with that Amulet, boy?”
“What I’m doing it for? Well…I’m going to destroy it of course!” I smashed the Amulet into pieces.
Vatherion then laughed, “You do know that’s a decoy, right? Why would I leave around the real thing that allows me to fully control Taloncryst?” He showed us the real Chaos Dragon Amulet.
I looked back at Yumiko and said, “Which part am I supposed to trust you on, again?”
“This is where you should trust me.” Yumiko smiled.
“What are you doing over there, Yumiko? I thought you were with me.” Vatherion clenches his fists.
Yumiko pulled out her flintlock and directed her aim at me.
“What are you doing Yumiko?” I questioned her.
“Trust me on this.”
I paused for a bit and then sighed and finally said to her, “All bets are off, I guess.”
Yumiko pressed the trigger, a piece of bullet begins to escape the barrels of the flintlock and flies toward me. As it about to reach me, I used my Blink ability on the bullet and transported it behind Vatherion. The bullet hit his hand and that made him drop the Chaos Dragon Amulet.
“Now!” shouted Yumiko.
I ran to the direction the amulet was falling and successfully obtained it as it falls down to my hands.
“That was cheap of you. But it was effective. But you should have explained it to me clearer next time. It was only at the last moment when I noticed what I was supposed to do.”
Yumiko laughed, “But you did found out in the end, right?”
“Yeah…and I hate to admit it…but you are right this time…I’m starting to see you in a different light now.”
“No. Let’s not go that way. We shouldn’t get all giddy-giddy because of this. I’m already doing this for my own reasons. Not for you or anyone else.”
“Fine by me.” I looked back at the amulet.
“How dare you, Yumiko. To think that you would betray me, A Champion of Chaos?! I’ll show you the power of a Champion!”
“Allow me to strip off a part of that ‘power’ of yours.” I said that as The Chaos Dragon Amulet suddenly begins to glows.
“What? It can’t be?”
Taloncryst suddenly shakes off Vatherion out of its mount. Throwing off Vatherion to the mountains outside of the chambers.
“Impossible! You’re supposed to also have the Chaos Sword of Dragon Control as well to control that thing!”
My eyes glowed as I tightly grasp the amulet. Taloncryst landed next to me.
“Great, just great!” Vatherion then raised his sword and used magic to activate a machine that was at the mountain.
The machine shoots out a laser toward one of the statue; it was the statue of The Great Crystal Roc. It begins to crack and in a few seconds it imploded and spreads its wings. The Great Crystal Roc has been revived!
“It’s not in full power though…you can take it out, White…” Zenith said to me.
I grabbed onto the scales of Taloncryst and rode on it. It flaps its wings and we rose to the sky. Vatherion used his chaotic magic to control the roc to his will while I only used The Chaos Dragon Amulet to control Taloncryst without having the sword at all.
“To think that someone like you could possess such strength to control a dragon! An elder dragon!”
I simply replied to him, “Well then, Vatherion. It’s time we settle this, once and for all!” Taloncryst roared as loud as it could toward The Crystal Roc.
