2330…It’s almost midnight but for some reason these people were still making noises. They’ve been at it for the past 3 hours ago. I even tried to shoo them away but Sam just used her magic on me and brought me back lying down on my bedroom. At least she has the decency not to make me jump off the building or something.
“So what do you think of Sam?” Yumiko suddenly appeared on a small portal she made at my bedroom wall.
“What the heck is going on, Yumiko?”
Yumiko laughed and said, “Oh come on, White. Lighten up a bit. It’s not like we’re doing a party or anything.”
“Explain to me…now.” I was being absolutely serious.
Yumiko stopped laughing, “Fine. You’re no fun.” Yumiko steps out of her portal and sat on my chair. “You see…we’re supposed to have a meeting of sorts for our class. And surprisingly enough, this dorm has the most number of Administration Magic students. Azreal, Kallen, Ralph and I. So Sam decided that this dorm would be their official headquarters.”
“But isn’t this supposed to be the boy’s dorm?” I replied back.
“The Boy’s and The Watcher who happens to be a girl. Sam is also a Watcher.”
“Hey…” Suddenly, I heard a voice by the window. “I heard your dorm was having a huge meetup.” It was Blanc.
“Blanc? What are you doing here?”
“I’m also a watcher, doofus. I’m supposed to be looking out for Shiro but he is already fast asleep. Then I heard that your room has something interesting going on. Looks like the whole floor is having some fun. Even your neighbours.”
“What?”
“It’s not just the Administration Magic boys. There’s also some of the boys from Magic Advancement, Entertainment Magic and even your class, White.”
“What the heck is going on?” I was getting more confused than ever.
Yumiko stood from her chair and said, “So this is the legendary boy’s night, isn’t it?”
“Boy’s night? What the heck is that, Yumiko? I never of that before.”
“Why don’t you take a look outside…those guys seems to be having some sort of fun together with the other Watchers who happens to be a girl.” Yumiko walks around my room as she said that.
“And this all started thanks to the ever-yet wonderful, Sam Maximus. A girl.” Blanc sits on my chair.
“That’s it. I’m talking to her now.”
I went out of my room leaving the two girls behind. Outside of my room, dozens of other students were clamoring around my dorm and even my neighbour’s dorm. All doors were left open to make it easy for them to enter and exit with this many people. I tried my best to walk through the horrendous flood of boys until I finally reached Sam.
Sam was playing some sort of video game with some of the boys. Sam seems to be overpowering them. I believe it was a fighting game. She seems to be very good at it.

“Is there anyone who can defeat me?” Sam laughed.
“Sam! What the heck are you doing? This is not your dorm for goodness sake!” I tried talking to her.
Suddenly some unknown person just dragged me away and said, “Hey, if you want to face her, you have to get through us first because we’ve been waiting hours for our turn to face her in battle.”
“Battle?”
“Yes! Battle her in Ultimate Wizard Storm!”
“Ultimate Wizard Storm? Is that the name of that fighting game?”
“Yes! Don’t you know about it? It’s part of The Elematrix spinoff series.”
“Elematrix? Are you serious? I thought I’m supposed to know about this. I’m a fan of The Elematrix series.” I scratches my head.
“Well whatever. Get in line if you want to face The Queen.” He pushed me off.
Ultimate Wizard Storm. Part of a spinoff series to The Elematrix series. It’s a competitive one on one fighting game. And from the looks of it I have to wait up until I’m even able to reach Sam. But to what end? Why are they lining up just to defeat her in a video game? Is it because of bragging rights?
Then I heard one of the people lining up said something, “I can’t wait to ask her out after I beat her in that game. What do you want to ask her?”
“What are you guys talking about?” I asked this unnamed person.
He replied, “Anyone who beats her gets to ask her anything you’d like. This kind of opportunity doesn’t always come every day you know? Sam Maximus is a very bewitching beauty, don’t you think?”
“But what about the other girls like Yumiko?”
“Yumiko? She’s lower tier compared to Sam. Besides, you’re already got her for yourself aren’t you?”
“What? She’s just my Watcher.”
“Ack, whatever.” He turned away from me.
I stood back up and returned to my room. But seriously though, were they really doing this kind of stupid event? Defeating The Queen will grant you an audience from The Queen. This is stupid. I have to put this to a stop once and for all. If I’m too late then this is going to keep happening every single night.
“Darn it.” I expressed my anger as I slammed my bedroom door shut.
“So you see now, White…I’m not involved in this.” Yumiko approached me.
“Then what are you doing here in my room?”
“Hey, this is still a part of our dorm. I belong here. Plus, I’m also your Watcher. I have to keep an eye on you in any kind of situation.”
“Can’t you ask her to stop this thing or something?”
“She can’t.” Blanc interrupts.
“What do you mean, Blanc?”
“Do you forget that Sam has Absolute Order? There’s no way Yumiko can talk it out unless…”
“Unless?”
Yumiko laughs and said, “Unless you beat her in that fighting video game…”
“Is that the only way? There’s no way I can beat her then…I’m not good at fighting game.” I fell on my knees.
“Then you have to train yourself, White.” Yumiko crept closer to me and told me, “That’s the only way for you to talk it out to Sam.”
“But we’re running out of time…”
“No we won’t.” Yumiko pulls out a ball from her pocket, “We use this.”
Yumiko showed to me a Training Ball.
“A Training Ball? That would be perfect!” said Blanc.
“What are you talking about?” I was confused, “I’m not fighting her for real. I’m going to fight her in a video game that I suck at.”
Yumiko sighed heavily, “Are you that stupid, White? The Training Ball can slow down the time in the real world while you master the game. I can pull out a copy of that game with my bullet.”
“Oh yeah…” I finally see what she was thinking but, “But why are you helping me? Don’t you despise me?”
“As much as I despise you…I despise Sam even more…” Yumiko stood up.
“Then you should be mastering the game, Yumiko. Not me.”
Yumiko puts her index finger to my lips and said, “Not another word. I’d rather swallow a thousand needle than facing that girl in a stupid video game. Besides, I’m not really into fighting games. But if you give me something else, I might surprise you. Now let’s go.”
“Can I join?” Blanc asked.
“Sure thing, Blanny bee…”
“What did you call me, Yumiko?”
“Nothing.”
And so, the three of us went inside the Training Ball that Yumiko has brought. I don’t know where she got it or how she got it but that doesn’t concern me right now. What concerns me right now is to master this fighting game. But playing against a computer feels a bit too weak…
“Why don’t you try on a harder difficulty then?” suggested Blanc
I did so, and time after time, the difficulty kept on rising until it reaches the highest possible difficulty. Until then, it was getting easier for us. But if I do say so myself, this wasn’t enough. Fighting against a computer was not the way. This was just finding the loophole of a system. Sam is not a computer. I need real competitors.
“Can’t we have anyone who I can play against?” I asked Yumiko.
“What do you mean? Isn’t the Expert Computer enough?”
“This is not enough. Computers only uses a number of pattern. Unlike us human, we have one thing that is different from a computer and that is unpredictability. I need challenges.”
“But only Yumiko and I are over here, White…” Blanc told me.
“Are you sure about this, White?” Yumiko asked me.
I nodded and say, “Yeah, can you do it?”
“Of course I can. That thing can play online right? Why don’t you try that?”
“But…we don’t have any internet over here…”
“Just try it.”
I went into Online Mode and surprisingly I was able to access it.
“What’s going on Yumiko?”
“This is not the internet but it is some sort of network connected between dimensions. This is all thanks to The Training Ball because the ball is in fact connects to multiple worlds as well. In other words, you might not even be playing against someone from our world. You’re playing against someone from a different world.”
“I see.”
Suddenly, the screen displays a surprising message.
“A challenger approaches!” the game announced.
I looked at the challengers rank and name and then I accepted it.
“That’s a pretty cool name don’t you think?” I prepared myself
“It is…it is…White…” Blanc agreed.
I laughed a bit, “Alpha…huh, we’ll see about that. Alpha vs Omega!”
And so, we engaged in battle.
