**Chapter 11: Transition to Light**

Samuel found himself alone in the cave, surrounded by the echoes of his battle against the infernal bear. As he was recovering from the confrontation, he decided to check his status. With a thought directed towards the interface, he simply said: "Status."

The interface opened before him, revealing that Samuel had reached level 20. This meant that he could choose an additional skill. A frosty smile stretched across her lips, a cold glimmer in her eyes. "Good," he murmured.

After some time inside, he stepped out into the daylight. The sunlight, after almost a month of darkness, hurt his eyes a little. Before him lay a dense forest, its trees forming a thick screen of greenery.

Samuel headed towards the entrance of the cave, where Helydia was waiting for him. She was lying on a rock, in her human form, and was asleep. Samuel approached and threw a piece of skin he had torn from the infernal bear onto Helydia's face in a selfless manner.

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

"Put that," he ordered calmly.

Helydia, surprised, quickly straightened up. She wiped the drool that was running down her cheek, observed the piece of skin, immediately understanding its function. The sun dazzled her, and she was completely naked in her human form. Wrapping the skin around her, she hurriedly lay down, trying to prepare herself to head to the neighboring village.

Samuel, seeing that she was now covered, said: "Get ready." "We still have a lot to do."

Helydia acquiesced, adjusting the piece of skin to cover herself properly. They had a village to visit.
