Wolves. They look normal in this world, and they attack in packs.

I just came back to fight with them. I have a quest to take care of them, and it shouldn't be a problem, but it's always better to know your enemy. Even if they have more health than goblins, they don't look that much stronger. And there are not that many of them. When I was fighting with goblins I needed to take care of six of them. Now I only needed to kill two small wolves.

Anyway, after finishing my quest I had better equipment, and potions that I could use without any problems while fighting. After getting lvl 3 I even learned new spell. It was "Quickness". It allows me to cast my spells 20% faster, and move 15% quicker.

After fighting with goblins I knew that even first quests can be really hard. I casted "Holy shield" and "Quickness" on myself to prepare for the fight. After that I stepped away from those wolves as much as I could to cast "Holy flame". Then I casted it on them dealing them a lot of damage. Of course they immediately ran towards me, but I had time to cast another "Holy flame". This time I killed them.

It was an easy fight but there was one problem. For some reason the quest didn't end, and my map was still showing me that I need to kill more wolves in the place where I was standing.

After a while I understood why.

I heard loud howl and then I saw a big gray wolf running towards me.

He was gigantic. He looked more like a bear than a wolf, but he was like two times faster than those smaller wolves. He was at least three times bigger than them too.

I didn't had time to do anything. I couldn't cast a spell, and he was too fast to even dodge his attack. I just took a hit for nothing, and then I lost half of my HP.

He hit me with his paw and I flew few meters. It was the first time when I felt pain in this game.

After that he looked at me with angry face. I couldn't use "Heal" because he would just kill me while I would cast it, so I just drank some potions. It took my 4 potions to restore my HP, and I had only six more of them.

I couldn't fight him. There was no way that I would win.

"Well, let's see how the dead screen looks." I said to myself, and waited for him to attack.

There was no reason to fight. He was too fast to dodge any of his attacks, and I couldn't even run from someone like this. I'm even surprised that they made him that strong. I can understand that they want people to play in teams, but something like this is too much for someone who is not prepared.

When he saw that I wasn't moving for some time he attacked me. I didn't try to dodge or cast anything. I just closed my eyes and waited for my death. But it didn't come.

Instead of it, I heard a clashing noise. When I opened my eyes to see what happened I saw a tall girl standing before me. She was wearing metal armor, but without a helmet. In her left hand she had a sword, and in her right she had a wooden shield that she used to block this BOSS attack.

"Heal yourself!" she turned back and shouted. When she did it I could see her face. She was a young, beautiful girl with long red hair and big blue eyes. But most of my attention was directed at her ears. Those were fox ears. She was from a Beast race.

After looking at her I jumped away, and used "Heal" on myself. It was probably the first time when I could use this spell.

"Don't forget about me." I heard familiar voice from far away. When I looked into its direction I saw an elf, that was firing an arrow.

It hit this BOSS in the head, dealing him critical damage, but he was still really healthy.

After that I healed this girl. She took some damage, even after blocking his attack with her shield. Then I casted "Holy flame" on this wolf. He wanted to attack me while I was casting, but once again I was saved by this girl.

It took us some time but we beat him using only this tactic. I would cast "Holy flame", then this girl would defend me, and after that I would heal her. It would take a lot of time, but we had a Hunter dealing a lot of damage from the distance.

"Thank you very much. I wouldn't do this alone" I said when we were done. We received a lot of EXP and gold for this one, but they were divided into three parts.

"Not a problem. We had a lot of fun, didn't we?" this girl said and looked at the elf. He was just running towards us, because all of the fight we was firing at this BOSS from the distance.

"Yeah! Told you to join my party." he said when he catched up and smiled at me.

"You know each other?"

"Yeah, we met at the village sis."

"Oh?" this girl said and then looked at me. She was thinking about something.

"Want to join us? We need a healer." she then asked.

Well, I didn't join a party before but now I can see that playing this game alone can be really hard. I mean, I wanted to look around just by myself, but it won't work for long. And it's not like I'm some NEET that can't socialize. It’s not that for sure.

"Don't even try this. If I couldn't convince someone then surely you won't..."

"I want to join you." I said, and this elf looked at me surprised.

"Then welcome to the party." she replied, and invited me to her friends list.

"It's nice to meet you Lilly." she then said and smiled.

"Wait! why didn't you went with me when I asked you?!" BIGelfX asked, but we didn't listen to him.

After that we went to the city. I ended my quest with wolves, and they just started it.

They were still one level behind me, but I didn't care. I still went with them to do this quest with wolf BOSS. I wanted to repay them for their help, and it would be weird for me to just wait for them to come back.

"But you really are a good player Lilly. I'm really happy that you are in our team." elf said as we were going towards this BOSS. For me it was the second time doing it.

"I used to play many MMORPGs."

"Oh? Just like sis. You are so cute!" he then said, and this fox girl looked at him.

"Did you already forgot about the last time you met a “girl” in MMORPG?" she asked and elf looked at me with sad eyes.

I can imagine what they were talking about. But I didn’t wanted to take advantage of them. No, it wasn’t like this. I just wanted to get more items. Even thinking back at those years when I grinded so much, and I still wasn’t as strong as those girls that wouldn’t do anything. I can’t let it happen again.

"It's not a problem. I am a girl after all." I replied.
