Maid uniforms. Maid uniforms. Why I didn’t think about this!? Everyone loves maids. I should have bought one days ago!
I looked at them once more. They were really cute. Yeah! They were cuter than me! It was unbelievable!
“For some reason she looks really angry.” this orc girl said, while looking at me.
“Don’t worry about her.” BIGPunch replied, and looked at those maid girls. After that she raised her hand. When she did that both of them started running towards the rest of my team.
Ignoring their clothes, both of them had really good items. The Hunter had a really great bow, and this healer had some good jewelry.
“Run!” I shouted at my team, and started running away.
We have some good items, but I don’t think we would be able to win against something like this in a normal fight. Their hunter would destroy Brian, and I don’t think I can go against this healer without a plan.
For now we should see what they can do…
Just as I thought about this, above my head a “Rain of Arrows” appeared. This skill shouldn’t have this much range.
Well, it wasn’t anything scary. I just casted a “True shield”. A simple spell that negates any damage taken in next four seconds.
When I turned around I saw that this hunter girl was running towards me with a scary speed. She must have used some speed potion.
My teammates were just running around, trying not to fight with the other three. It was a good thing, but looking at this situation, I was sure that I would need to fight with this hunter.
There was no reason to run, so I stopped. You can’t evade a shot from a hunter with a bow like this while moving, and her speed was too fast for me.
When I did that she slowed a little, making sure that it’s not a trap made by me. When she did that I could look at her a little better. She had long dark hair, and black eyes. Her face was cute, but without any expression.
It was a very weird character.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Anyway, I didn’t have time to think about her looks. I needed to fight her. After looking at her equipment, I didn’t think it would be possible. Her every item is better than mine, and she had some weird bonuses from potions.
Well, that would be the case if she was as good as I am. I don’t know how good she is, but after this “Rain of Arrows”, I’m sure she is not a skilled player. Now I only need to use this.
When she was maybe fifty meters from me I used “Holy flame”. A strong spell, that can do a big amount of damage.
And as I predicted, she avoided it. She avoided it with a giant jump. A skilled player, would just do a little step, and then he would start running once again. She didn’t do that.
Instead she jumped. And this jump was a very long one.
When I saw that, there was only one thing to do.
“Gain strength”, “Strength”, “Hand power”, “Buff attack”, “Hand damage buff”, “Perfect melee”...
I used all my spells, scrolls, potions and daily items, that gave me melee combat advantage. I was now a real fighter. Well, for the next half a minute.
After buffing myself, I started running towards her. Of course she wasn’t stupid, and she started running away. Even a healer, after so many buffs can be deadly at a close range combat. My melee attacks were much stronger than other ones.
After maybe ten seconds of running, I heard a laughter from her. It seemed like she enjoyed herself. I’m sure that she thought that I did something stupid, and that she is going to kill me in a few seconds after my buffs go away.
Well, I can’t blame her. I would think the same thing. I would, if I didn’t know what item I had in my pocket.
When we were approaching the wall, I threw a small, dark ball. It bounced a few times, and then a dark smoke started coming out from it.
“Gas bomb”. A shop item. I got it from someone for a cheap item. No one really buys it, because it’s really weak. Its effect is simple. Anyone in range of this smoke will be blinded.
That’s all.
Any good player knows how to avoid it, and disadvantage is the same for both sides. That’s why this item isn’t popular.
Well, that wasn’t the case now.
I went into the smoke, and using my hearing I localised my enemy. It seemed like she wanted to run away from the smoke. A smart move, but she wasn’t running in her full speed. It seemed like she was being careful.
That wasn’t that smart. I swung my staff into the area where I heard her, dealing lots of damage.
Someone who avoids “Holy flame” with a jump that big, can’t avoid a melee attack from this near. I knew that, so I didn’t wait for even a moment, and I swung my staff once more. After maybe ten seconds she was defeated.
It was a really simple fight. I used all my buffs and potions, but I defeated someone who had really strong items. I think it shows that in VMMORPGs, skill is one of - if not the most important thing.
“Good fight.” I said, and waited for the smoke to disappear. When it did, I saw three bodies of my teammates laying on the ground.
