Am I a NEET? If I were to answer this question I would say yes. Of course, don't get me wrong, It's not like I feel bad about this. It's not like I feel worse because of this. No, I feel somewhat better than others. From outside it might seem stupid, but for me it isn't. Being a NEET means being free. Maybe it's weird that someone that doesn't go outside his room speaks about freedom, but it's just how I see it. I was never pretending. I never said that I liked things that I didn't like.

I live in a really really plain world. A world where girls are evil. Even now, when I follow one of them I feel like I'm not wrong. It might seem stupid to just judge a half of the population like that, but I don't care. It's who I am.

It's hard for me to say it, but being a NEET is one of the most characteristic things about me. Being so boring, that not going out is the most interesting thing about you. Well, it doesn't look good.

And now, if what she shows me is true, if she is not that bad. If she just don't understand...

"Something is wrong?" this girl walking before me asked me, after I was silent for some time.

"I-I'm not a NEET!" I shouted, just to realise how stupid I am.

"Hahaha, you really are funny." she just said and continued walking.

We were walking for some time now. We left the city long ago, but for some reason we were still walking.  I don't know what she wants me to see. I don't know where she is leading me to. She said that she doesn't understand why she receives free items, but why would I trust her? I remember it too well. How many items she got.

No, I just went to see how she does it.

After some time we approached a big forest. A forest with gigantic trees. It was a beautiful sight, something that makes playing VMMOPRGs worth it. I could play those games just for things like that, but it was the first time I saw something like that. It might mean only one things. It's a higher lvl zone.

"I don't understand why we are here." I said to Imphi, still looking at this forest. A cold wind blew lightly, moving leaves around, and they just made some noise.

In the game an evening was coming, but in real world it was already night. It was a little weird for me, that Imphi was playing at this hour, but I didn't say anything.

"You will see in a moment." Imphi said, and entered the forest.

I went inside just behind her, all the time looking around. It wasn't a normal forest. Not only trees were big, everything was gigantic. From plants to animals, but they weren't agresive towards us.

"It's a really weird place." I said, after looking at a mushroom bigger than me.

"Shhh, look at that." Imphi just silenced me, and pointed at a place, between some trees. When I looked there I saw a weird animal. Well, if it was an animal. This weird thing had a horse legs, but it's upper body was that of a man. In his hand he had a bow, and few arrows on his back.

He looked like a really wild animal. He had a lot of hair, and he was breathing like a wild dog.

"Centaur? He looks strong." I said after looking at him. Well, we fought things that had more HP than him, but those were bosses. And even if he doesn't has as much HP, his defense is much stronger. It's not something I could defeat alone without any problems.

When I was thinking about this Imphi looked at me with a serious look on her face. Then she grabbed her staff.

"Listen. I'm going to fight with him. Don't help me, do you understand?" she then asked.

"Fight with this? You can't defeat something like that alone, even I..."

"Just do it. You wanted to see how I get those items, didn't you? Just hide here, and don't help me, even if it looks like I might die." she said with a really serious look.

"O-Okay." I only replied.

It's true that I wanted to see how she does it. It's true that I want to get free items. It's all true, but for some reason I don't like it. I don't like her just going there alone. I-It's not like I'm some stupid NEET, that thinks girls need his help all the time. No, it's not that. She's just a part of my guild. I don't want her to go alone.

But I decided to see what did she mean, when she said that she doesn't understand why boys give her free items. I can't do anything about that right now.

So I just hid behind this mushroom. When she saw that I was safe she started running towards the centaur.

When he saw her she used a spell. It was "Fireball". It hit the centaur in the head, but it didn't look like it made much damage.

No, it just made him angry. He looked at Imphi with an angry face, and after that he grabbed an arrow from his back and then he put it into the bow. After that he pointed it at Imphi.

He wasn't as big as normal animals in this forest. No, he wasn't even as big as some of the plants, but he was still really massive compared to us. And his arrow was so big, that even one hit from it would kill Imphi without any problems. That's why she needed to avoid it. It was the only thing she could do.

Then, he let go of the arrow, and with incredible speed it went into her direction.

Imphi barely avoided it, and started chanting her new spell. It was an ice spell. I couldn't remember the name, but it didn't do that much damage.

But it was really useful. If you hit something with it, it could slow your opponent, or if you were lucky even freeze them.

She was chanting now, and if she hit him with that, it might give her more chance in fighting with him. Well, if he was stupid that is.

When this centaur saw what she was going to do, he started running towards her. In the middle of his run he took another arrow from his back.

That was something bad. Even if she uses her spell, she would still get hit and probably die. But if she stops now, the distance between them would be too small, and mages are really bad in melee combat.

I wanted to come out to help her, but then I heard a loud scream. It wasn't Imphi, it wasn't this centaur. No, it was a scream of a young boy.

When I looked into it's direction I saw a Beast warrior. He had a short red hair, and long wolf ears. He was wearing a light armor, and to fight he used a big, two handed axe.

And...

He had a 30 lvl.

Someone that strong? Not many people are even on my lvl. Someone with a lvl like him...

He must be a disgusting NEET.

I choked a little thinking about this, but then I remembered that I'm a NEET too. Yeah, it wasn't that funny anymore.

Well, he just jumped at the centaur, and with one attack he took half of his HP. After that the fight took maybe ten seconds.

"Hey, are you alright? Someone with your lvl shouldn't stay here. Come, I will get you to the city." he said, as he approached Imphi.

But for some reason she was angry right now. Well, anyway this is something I wanted to see. Now Imphi, show me how you get those free items. Show me how you "don't understand" how you get those free items. I'm waiting.

Yeah, show me.

"I d-didn't need you help! W-Why did you do that?!" Imphi shouted at him.

I don't understand. Weren't you going to do something else? Why were you shouting right now? I don't understand. Yeah, I don't understand but for some reason...

For some reason that was cute?

"Hahaha, why are you talking about? He would have killed you." this warrior said as he approached her even more.

"A-And? Who said I need your help? Stupid!" Imphi shouted one more time, and this warrior laughed once more.

Tsundere?

"Don't be like this. You can't be here with this lvl of yours. Hey, I have an idea. I could give you some items, and then you will return to lvl somewhere else. What do you think?" he said with a smile.

"W-Who would want your dirty items?"

She's pretending, isn't she? Yeah, she is pretending. It can't be true. It's too stupid to be true. Yeah, she is just pretending, for sure.

"Hahaha, don't be like this. I could even help you with some quests. I'm really strong, you see?" he said with a smile.

Oh, disgusting NEET trying to show off his lvl. I can't look at this.

"Help? From you? Don't be stupid. Who do you think you are?"

"Hahah, I'm sending you some items right now. You should really use them. They will help you. Are you sure you don't want my help? I could go with you even now. I'm really bored anyway."

I understand. Now I understand. For all this time I thought people like cute girls. Well, I like them. But it's not true. They like tsundere characters. Now I see.

Thinking about this I came out of hiding, and then I approached them. When this warrior saw me he smiled one more time at Imphi.

"Your friend? You thought you could get some exp here? Heheh, even two people couldn't do much with your lvl. Come, I will go with you, and then... Wait, "Lilly"? I saw this name somewhere before..." he said, and his smile started fading.

But I didn't care. I wasn't even listening to him. Now I was thinking about something else. Yeah, being a tsundere. I don't really know how should I do it, but I saw many things like this. If I was to be a tsundere, then I would...

I looked him straight into his eyes.

"Get out or I will kill you... stupid." I said with a stone face.

Yeah, this is a tsundere. Heheheh, give me those free items. Those free weapons, and armor. Oh yeah, I waited so much for this.

"I'm s-sorry!"

What? Why is he running? I don't understand.

"Thank you!" Imphi said and started hugging me, but I couldn't care about this less.

The only thing I cared about now, was now running away from me. Running away from me with my free items.

"You were so cool there! He was running so fast. Hahah stupid idiot! You really are great!" Imphi said, while still hugging me.

Maybe I should smile more?
