"Really?! You did this quest alone!?" this weird elf said.

We were just standing in this village, and I just told him how I defeated those goblins. He seemed to be really excited, and for some reason he was very impressed.

"I don't understand. It's just a first quest." I said.

"You don't read RaS forums?! Because of this advanced AI, first quest can be really hard for inexperienced players. That's why in the next patch they are going to lower the health and attack of those goblins. I don't know how it wasn't fixed to this day, but until then they advise to do this quest in a small party."

"Well, it's not like it is impossible to do."

"Of course it's not, but you must be a really good player!"

Obviously I'm a good player. I played MMORPGs for years. I'm not like those noobs, that can't even kill some goblins without help from others.

"Want to join my party?! There are two of us and we are going to do this quest with goblins. We would really need a healer." he said.

Well, I will need to join a party sooner or later, but I don't feel like doing it right now. I don't want to share EXP and gold with some noobs. I'm a real gamer.

"Maybe later." I replied.

Yeah, I need to play solo right now. It's not like I'm some NEET that have problems with socializing. It's not that for sure.

"Eh?! That's too bad. Can I at least add you to my friends list?"

"Okay..." I said and accepted his invitation.

"Thank you! I'm going to do this quest now! See you later." he said and left me.

My first "friend". Well, it's not like I have any problems to add him to this list. It's not like I will need to travel with him. It's just a stupid list.

When this elf walked away, I quickly went to the city. I didn't want to stay in this village for any more time, because I could meet him there once again if I stayed here for too long.

The city wasn't too far away from the village. You just needed to follow the road for few minutes, and then you will get there. When I was walking the only things that I could see were fields on both sides of the road. These were the fields on which the grain grew, and they were really big.

Then, when I finally left those fields, I saw few wolves resting on a meadow. They were sleeping, so they didn't knew that I was there, so I tried not to wake them up.

They were even stronger than goblin leader, but I could only see two of them. I don't think that fighting with them would be harder than fighting with goblins, because of their numbers, but I don’t see any reason to attack them now.

Then, after maybe ten minutes of walking I saw the city walls. They were white and to the city lead a big bridge made of stones. It was there because of the river, and inside it I could see some monsters.

When I crossed the gate, a message popped up. 

NEW REGION FOUND  AIREDALE

If it's about the city it looked lovely. It had many buildings made of brick, that looked better than those houses in the village. All of them were painted white, so this city looked like something from a fantasy book. It had many NPCs, so it looked really lively and like a true place that people were living in. After walking for awhile I even found some shops that could sell me new equipment or potions, but I didn't have enough money for that.

Still, there weren't many players here. Few of them that were in the city were in some kind of party. It looked like this thing this elf said about those goblins was true.

"Found it." I said when I looked at a guards building. It was marked on my map because here was this Captain that I needed to talk to.

When I went inside I saw few guards here and there just standing, but there was one man that drew my attention. He was wearing full plate armor like the knight in the village, and he had this big, glowing question mark above his head.

"Welcome back! I see you have returned with your report. Let me see it! Hmm, those are really bad news. Anyway this is your reward. Thank you for your help." he said and gave me some gold. I even got some EXP, which made me level up.

After looking at my new stats, I talked to him one more time.

"You see, about those bad news. This report says that the wolves were spotted near the road. It might be a really bad thing for travelers and people that live there. I would want you to go and take care of this. I know that you just returned after fighting with those goblins, but I can't send anyone else." he said, and after that I accepted his quest.

There was no reason not to. Of course, even in RaS, you could gain EXP just by fighting with normal mobs, but it's a lot better to just do quests and level up normally.

When I left the building I went straight to where I first met those wolfs. There was no reason to wait, I just wanted to play some more.
