I Think I Got Stuck In My Favourite RPG :TFALM
The trip to the magical district.

The trip to the magical district.

Waking up again to the familiar sight of the bathroom floor face down, darkness met me as I opened my eyes, and when I opened my eyes the first thing I saw was the cold hard tiles pressed up against my face, I started to pull my face off them as my face unstuck. The cool wind blowing in from under the door swept my hair up a little; when I followed the wind, I could see ahead in the distance was Maria. She was laid out on the floor, sleeping with a towel over her upper body, acting as a blanket. I could see from the angle I was looking at her I could see she was completely naked. Sitting there taking in the sight before me for a few moments I did not remember a thing, nevertheless, I was up now and awake with a headache. What more could I do or say? I began to scratch my head thinking to myself, ‘Last night I was way too drunk...’

I tried to remember what had happened but apart from brief cut scenes of a scary wolves eyes glowing I couldn't for the life of me recall anything, so I sat there with my legs crossed for a few moments thinking until I heard a noise that was becoming something I listened for now exclusively. The noise was a knock on the door. Not soon after, the person knocking at the door began to speak while turning the door handle. I could hear from behind the door it was Reena, asking me, “Azurith? Are you okay? Seira saw Maria dragging you into the bathroom last night by your heel’s and then she said she heard some screaming coming from you, followed up with some moans. I am so sorry about Maria she can be very rough. I am so sorry about my friend!”

It was all coming back to me after Reena said that. Memories began to flood my head of last night as I looked over to Maria, who was slowly waking up with a look of utter satisfaction on her face. I went to ask her as quietly as I could, “What happened.” but as she sat there and smiled at me, licking her lips, she did not reply.

Reena then began to open the door, saying, while she opened it, “Azurith?” Pausing only momentarily while facing Maria, I turned quickly, picked myself up off the floor and ran like hell towards the door before I said to Reena, who was almost through the door completely. Running against the door closing it on her bracing the door I yelled frantically, “Wait, I am naked, Reena do not open that door!”

I could feel her begin to push on the door lightly at first, then Reena attempted to begin pushing her way through. Opening the door, ignoring what I told her, with the sight of her friend Maria and myself naked, I thought, 'Wonderful now I am in for it.'

I could see her think momentarily before getting red in the face with anger. Now quickly running past me over to where her friend was sitting, she grabbed Maria off the floor while holding her like a baby; she yelled, “ Bad Maria.” Now I was gripped tightly by Reena. The only expression on her face was the look she gave her friend; I listened to her as she was scolding Maria for taking advantage of me while I was drunk. But, truth be told, I did not mind if that was true, Maria was a gorgeous girl. But I was not going to say that out loud right now...Because Reena was extra nice towards me after seeing that this morning, and well, I decided to just roll with it quoting ‘No harm no foul.’

Everyone was dressed and ready for today. Today, after all, was the day we were going to do the triples tournament. I was unaware of how this worked. To be honest other than three people entered it. Never in the game, I use to play were there tournaments. However close this place reminded me of the game I played, it was not, and I kept having to remind myself that daily when I would get fed up. The tournament in question did not make too much sense. Arenas battles, yes, but tournaments, nope. I still had yet to really find any real answers to these questions about where I was, but perhaps the more I would adventure in this world the more I would learn, and the more things would start to add up, like how I got here or why it was.

Once outside of the tavern, I could see Maria start to run off to work, leaving us like she normally did around this time in the day, as Seira, Reena, Jacosta, and I went off to what Seira called the "Magical district" she said, " It won't take long." so we decided to do this before we signed up for the tournament today. Everyone waved goodbye to Maria as she ran away and off in the direction of the pub. Maria, now smiling back, gave me a seductive wink and then said to me while she stared, "Thanks for the night, Azurith."

I could see Reena turn to me and say, "What does she mean, Azurith. Azurith, what does she...?" Lifting my hands in a position like I don't know. Once she left, Jacosta pulled me aside and said quietly while I continued to hear in the background Reena repeating what she said like a broken record to Seira, who was patting her back, “So, did you have a nice night there, Mr. Azurith, with Maria I hear she's wild!"

I wanted to say, "You have no idea." but I kept it to myself as I continued to listen to her say, "Thank you for the booze again. Sorry if I drank all of yours too. I get carried away.”

When she finished talking, Jacosta stood there with a smile on her face and waited for me to answer like she normally did when she was done talking to me. It was always a pleasant sight to see her always so happy, feeling good myself today, I replied, returning the friendly look, though not sure how to properly reply to her question about my night. Though it was subtle thank you no one had ever shown me any appreciation before, it was an odd feeling I felt. 'I was getting more respect, money and woman as my character,'

Snapping out of it, shaking my head a little I answered Jacosta and replied, “I could tell...You're a bit of an alcoholic, Jacosta... anyway, your welcome to my booze anytime I think I am done drinking for a while.” Then, zoning back out briefly while she smiled I began thinking, 'This was such a strange feeling, something I was not used to...It felt warm in my chest; my heart picked up and beat quickly; it was strange people actually cared about me in person enough to thank me? Without me asking for it?!'

Returning to reality, I could hear Reena walking over. She must have heard my comment before I zoned out, and came walking over, once standing beside her sister she commented, saying now to me while I had a confused look on my face, “I almost forgot to say it as well. Thank you for the last few days, Azurith! We figured once the tournament is done, I guess you won't have any need for us to show you around or anything now that you have the city figured out.”

Black and white just like that, the feeling in my chest went ‘poof’ and faded away. I told them we would level after, or did they forget? there was the chance perhaps they just did not like me? with the confused look on my face still I went on to ask the two of them, “So you decided you girls want to do the tournament?”

Jacosta and Reena, both smiling as they always did towards me, went on to both say in unison, “Yes, we want to help you win the tournament!" Reena, after saying that walked away from her sister, then Reena urged me to get up and follow her. When I was alone next to her she said while pulling me off to the side, “We talked about it last night when you were in the bathroom, you have been too kind to us, and we can't repay you enough for it, but if you want to have some fun in the tournament, we could help! We will sign up with you, so you can enter regardless if we make it to the end!”

Seira, having waited long enough now began tapping me on the shoulder before saying, “Hey, don't forget you promised to enchant my weapon...!” Seira, I could tell, did not know how to read the atmosphere or mood looking over and then down at the short elven woman I said...“I did not forget, so lead the way to the enchanting table or stone or whatever it was...” What followed on her face was a sadistic grin, which sent shivers down my spine, Seira then started walking ahead, and she leads us down a dark alley that reminded me of something out of a magical wizardly world. Once we got out of the alley, we were walking down and exited; we walked into an open area that had all sorts of interesting buildings and shops as Seira went on to say, turning to all of us with her hands above her head, “Welcome to the magic district Azurith. This way down here is where the shop we want to go visit is located.” Looking over to see the lady's reactions I was with, I saw Reena give off the cutest expression of excitement as she jumped up a little; her pink eyes were twinkling like starlight’s as I turned to Seira, and I wanted to leave, but I couldn't...Seeing how happy Reena was, I could not do her like this and ruin her day, so I told Seira, “Lead the way,”

We followed her once again; this time, Reena was the one running ahead, getting lost, stopping at each one of the shops. It was cute that she was looking in the shops' windows today at the various magical items and jewellery, and Jacosta did not seem impressed. Now was the perfect time if I was going to ask a question about magic and jewellery. I had a question if there were such magical items in this world. So I turned to Reena and asked her, “Are any of those earrings, rings, chains or pendants magic in nature?”

Smiling as I spoke when I finished, she nodded her head and then went on to say, replying, “Some jewellery have spells that you may not know. Or sometimes the item allows you to use the spell with ease, and some have effects to give you more magical power or strength.”

Remembering the enchantment on the flower wand sword, I told her, “Magic power funny you say that I guarantee while you use that wand, you won’t need that, as the wand I gave you has +1500 (MP) on it.”

Seira stopped walking, and I heard her laugh, after stating out loud, ”That was impossible.”

Soon after, she said that Seira faced us once again and then went on to say, “We will see if you are lying once we get to the stone. Reena, if you place your weapon on it, I'll tell you what if anything is on it. By the way, we are here now.”

Looking past her, I could see now. In front of us was an older-looking building compared to the others surrounding it. This building had various kinds of moss growing off the roof, and it had vines covering the entrance door. Seira was the first to walk forward, and when she opened the wood door, Reena ran in ahead of her, excited like Jacosta did when she saw booze. Jacosta followed her not long after inside; Seira closed the door on me when she entered while I was walking up...I opened it and entered the magical shop behind them.

Reena looking back when I entered, had a look of amazement in her eyes when she looked at me and then finding Seira; she started saying next to Seira, “This place was amazing.”

There were shelves everywhere I could see with paper scrolls on them and some magical-looking crystal balls and other weird rune-like objects with other strange devices beside them. One shop area had wands, and I assumed other weird walking staff were for the Mentalist classes and Combat-Mages. An older tall Elf walked out from the back as he went on to smile towards Seira. I listened to him start saying to the young lady, “Hey there, my darling girl, you brought some friends home with you today? Pumpkin, I noticed you did not come home last night. Is everything okay?”

Scanning the man now, I saw his name and class. He, too, was not in a guild like his daughter. His name was Julious Leaflittle Mentalist, class level 45, and I assumed he must have been the shop owner. Seira getting upset, told her father, “This Demon is not my friend's father. He lost a bet and owed me a favour.” The man walked over and started apologizing for his daughters' rude behaviour towards me, saying, " She has a complex past with Demons." Then Julious went on to offer us all some tea. We all accepted the nice gesture and took the offer the older man had given us. As he walked away, he started saying while Julious turned his back, “I will be right back, Seira, do not go near that stone again. You are not ready.”

Once her father left the room, she turned to me once again with that evil look... I told her before she even asked. Knowing what she was going to say, I simply said.” No.”

Seira cried out in a pouty voice while puffing her cheeks out like a little girl saying, “What do you mean? Did you forget you owe me!” Holding my face with my hand, I replied,“ Yes, but did you hear your dad,” Being the smart ass she was... Seira was not letting this go, and then she went out of the way to point out that "I was not her, and her father said nothing about me not using the stone..." Dumb-ass. Reluctantly I was tired of hearing her complain, so I walked over to the stone. Then like a madwoman, Seira ran over to the stone altar, throwing items down onto it, next to her bow. All the items barely fit on the stone altar, and then preparing the scrolls from some shelves, she called me over and placed them down beside her bow. Next, I heard Seira begin calling Reena over to watch the process. I looked down at one scroll and read it; it was in French and had a symbol on it from Gepot....looking at Seira, I asked, “Where did you get this? Are all scrolls like this?” She then looked at me confused as she went on to tell me, ”All the scrolls we get are written in this strange language.”

I was sure she could see I looked visibly confused as I thought to myself, ': Hmm.:' I started to think, where ever I was...Someone else had been here as well at some point in time from my world. They must have made these items at some point as they were a lot like the items from Gepot but very similar, which was strange. I began to translate the scroll in my head as I slowly read it aloud in our language. As the scroll began to glow and the words started to lift off the pages swirling around the table, it began to activate. The way it was written was almost like a poem or kind of kid's story. It was oddly satisfying to read. It told of a story of a young, selfish snow fairy who always rushed ahead of his friends; one day, he and his friends found treasure, and his greed got him trapped in a mountains cave praying for forgiveness it never got. Until it finally gave up and froze solid into a block of ice that would never melt, even on the hottest of days when the sun would hit it. Grabbing the scroll as it glowed in my hand as I read the story out loud before I slapped the scroll down onto the weapon and said the only enchantment spell I knew was ‘Awaken.’

Suddenly there was a bright light that emitted from the stone table. Then appearing out from the scroll, shot out a young snow fairy. It was no bigger than a pebble, and I noticed It looked at me briefly before it started flying around the room, returning to the stone enchanting table, and then the enchanting table sucked it into the bow. As the table glowed momentarily, so did the bow for a few moments afterwards. Now on the bow itself was a symbol I recognized which the magical scroll burned into the weapon. The closer I looked, it appeared to look like another symbol from the World of Gepot. The spell was called Icetornado in-game, and once I picked it up, I could see the symbol on the bow now had a cool-down recharge rate by the area the weapon had been gripped, and the bow I could see was skill was almost done recharging. It confused me deeply. Snatching the bow from my hand, Seira looked at the bow before saying, “That’s not Ice-shot. How did you?! I have never seen an enchanter read off the scroll they used either how did you know what it said...? Whatever you did just now, I think, was a perfect awakening as this is the purest form of the Ice-shot spell...Does your enchantment have a name?”

Ignoring her first two questions, I answered the third, saying, “‘Fairy’s Wrath.’” Putting her hand on her face, she said to me in an upset tone, “You are actually going to make me say fairy’s wrath for each shot...”

Responding to her question, I said, “Oh, so that is how it works?” Seira was losing her mind at how I could perform these advanced enchantments while knowing nothing about the enchanting process. I saw her put down her bow on the table, giving up. Seira then asked me, “Azurith, please give me the second enchantment I asked for with a better name, please.” I felt a little weird after the first enchantment I performed for her. I felt drained, and I was tired for some odd reason; I was feeling mentally drained but being a man of my word, I looked at the second scroll, and then next, I began to inspect it. The scrolls for these enchantments I began to notice all had a similar way they were written, both in French and the style of writing of what was inside. Each scroll for weapon ability enchanting used mythical creatures from legends and myth from my world, in the story, they always borrowed their power giving it to the user to use, I could not help but think, ‘: I wonder if I could create my own unique scrolls here.:’ The scroll Azurith read off now began to glow.:’

The story this time roughly translated to another story, but this one was of a Fire elemental whose fire burned dim bullied by the others for being weak, and he lived a hard life until one-day air spirits attacked their volcano. He watched as everyone he loved firer was extinguished by the attack. Finally, he exploded, drawing in the air spirits to a trap using them to fuel the ultimate fiery explosion. Afterwards, causing the volcano to erupt in the process blacking out the sky, killing a lot of their kind, and as he reigned supreme living in the lava’s, he waited for his friends to return. Like before, the words began to lift off the page and surround Azurith as he screamed out, ‘: Awaken.:.’

Then the bright light like the one before activated once again from the table, appearing before us all; now standing on the stone altar was a flame elemental who casually hopped out of the scroll burning everything it touched. It started jumping around angrily, which I thought was kind of adorable. It looked so angry before I could admire it any further. It started being sucked into the bow just like the fairy moments earlier. Now appearing beside the symbol for Fairy's Wrath was what appeared to be the flame elemental symbol of Grandflame. Again bearing a lot of a resemblance to skill symbols in the game I played. Feeling a little dizzy after that one, I looked to Seira and told her its name, “Grand flame-shot” This time, Seira looked impressed with the enchanted skill effects to name as she replied, “That’s a lot better than the name you gave the first enchantment, well now provide your last enchantment.”

Confused and light-headed from everything, I responded, “Excuse me, what do you mean provide?” Seira then went on to reply to me in a selfish and arrogant tone, “Yes, our agreement was for these two enchantment effects and the third one you can pick from your own scrolls.” Looking at Seira with my hand on my chin, I rolled my eyes before I went on to tell her. “Well, I don’t have any scrolls with enchantments or skill effects on me.”

Looking at me angrily, Seira shook her head and then walked over and then she started to hit me over and over again with an open fist. Swinging her arms around like a windmill. When she was doing that, I could hear the door opened as her dad walked through it. First, I heard him put down the tea and then the noise someone would make when they would quickly run, I noticed he stopped when he passed her weapon and began looking at her bow before I heard him saying to his daughter, “I was wrong about you, Seira. You can enchant. This is amazing!!! I’ve never seen anything so remarkable this is astute work pumpkin, something of a Master enchanter.”

Now picking his girl up twirling her around, he saved me from her ': Violent attacks:' I could hear as he started saying out loud while spinning her around in the air, “We are going to be so rich with your new skills! To think I ever doubted you, you were right you showed me!” I could not help but smile a little when she was dancing with her dad. It looked kind of like a grown man dancing with a doll. Reena ignored the two Elves dancing as I saw her start to walk over to Jacosta, who I noticed was looking into a crystal ball, making weird faces into it and pretending to see her future. Jacosta was not paying too much attention to what was going on, and Reena, as she walked over, scanned the room and then asked, seeing I was pale in the face and sweating a little, “Are you alright did that take a lot out you?” Wiping the sweat off my head, I asked her for a drink of water, “Reena, any chance you could like squirt some water in my mouth? I am a little thirsty." Jacostas ears I could see twitch a little when I said that, and thinking about what I had said, I could see her grinning. I realized Jacosta was a very dirty-minded person. I could see Reena begin to cast a water spell, but I quickly held onto her hands, closing them, stopping her from performing the spell. I said, "Before you do that, let me just finish with her bow, and we will go to the area to sign up for the tournament.”

After hearing that, Julious put down his daughter and looked at me before asking me the question,“ So, did you enchant this weapon, Demon?”

I then answered the old Elf in a serious voice, saying back, ”Yes.” I could hear him then, while rubbing his chin, say, "Astonishing and very interesting, is there any reason a Mentalist like yourself uses swords?" Not entirely sure what he meant, I answered him, saying, “I am not a Mentalist class, and I just can enchant...Seira could enchant as well. I Thought anybody could if they had a Master.” Julious looked at me suspiciously. Responding now in a weird tone of voice, Julious went on. Finally, they answered my question, replying, “Yes, anyone can become an enchanter with a Master, but that time had passed nowadays Master enchanters are so rare who’ is your master then, by the way?"

I answered him, saying the mentor in-game everyone used in the game I played before coming here, "Enchanting master Silis" Raising a brow, he did not respond for a few moments; I could see he was thinking on that name. He started saying once he gathered his composure, "Never heard of that master before, though you are right, assuming you're a mentalist simply on your level in the art was a short sight of my own. I had assumed you were magical in nature, is all, and most people like that pursue the mentalist class. You see, my daughter Seira will never, as hard as she may try, be able to enchant like you or me. It does not mean she cannot, but as she does no possess the amount of magical power needed for the enchantments and without a master, she is constrained like myself on what we can even perform, so the enchants her or I can manage to perform are very limited, not to mention the amount of stamina one needs to perform one or let alone two enchantments is tremendous.” Julious then paused for a moment catching his breath, excited about the topic; I could clearly hear him say next, ” I don’t want to be a prying old man, but what class are you by chance and what is your magical power?” I opened my mouth to respond, but Seira cut me off like she normally did when she took it upon herself now to answer the question for me, saying to her father,” When I joined their party, daddy, he was a Blade Master, whatever that was. His level is 99, if you can believe that. From what I could read, he has roughly 900+ magical power, which is more than you are put together. Not to mention his stamina was enough probably to run from here to the next city over at full speed.”

Rubbing the back of my head, I then slowly turned to Seira and, in a weird and creepy voice, said,” Ah, yes, I forgot I got Reena to invite you,” Reena then ran over to my side. She leaned over and then went on to whisper in my ear, seeing I was getting angry, “I did not want to tell you, but yeah, that is why people normally don’t do that. That is why I was hesitant at first to invite her. It is not something you go around announcing, even if your level is maybe high. That is why no one invites people or tells one another of their level people sometimes kill those high-level people to gain levels. I personally don't tell anyone my level unless they are close friends.” I could not help but begin to laugh, thinking back to when she invited me so hastily. Then, getting up, I leaned over, and I started hugging her, tightly holding her while she blushed. I went on to ask,” I guess that means we are close friends?”

Reena's answer was so nice, so sweet it made me so happy to hear the words come from her mouth, “Azurith, I’d like to think we are.”

Smiling back while responding to my question. I could not feel anything but, for some odd reason, this delighted feeling in my chest to have heard her answer was so positive that she thought we were friends; it made me happy she was my first friend here, wherever I was. It had been only three days, but the last three days had been some of the funniest days I have had in a long time, minus the woman attacking me while naked. Now interrupting us, Seira went on talking to her father again before he turned and then said towards me, asking me, “So your name is Azurith, right? I hear you need a blank scroll for an enchantment?”

Confused, I looked now at that older man who was clearly going along with his daughter. At this point, I could see she was urging him to grab one from the shelf. Then, looking at the two elves, I told the two of them, “That will work, I suppose.”

He looked like he had just seen a ghost as all the colour ion the man's face left. Then, getting up from where he was seated, he walked around the corner and got a quill, some ink, and a paper from the shelf, and then walking over to me, he put down the utensils on the stone altar and walked away, sitting down on the closest chair once again, looking almost ready to pass out. Looking at Seira now, I asked her, “Random, right, you won't get mad whatever effect or enchantment I give you, right?”

Seira, who too looked like she too saw a ghost, did not say a word and just casually made a hand gesture to say get on with it.
