Leaving the Icyhearts tavern, the weather had improved greatly since this morning, and once we were outside, I could see it was a particularly nice day out; the sun's rays of warmth met my face as the noise of people talking in the streets as they walked by I could hear. With the sun shining down upon it, I could not help but start thinking to myself, “Man, it was a bright day outside.”
I glanced over to where the ladies were standing beside me. I could tell everyone's moods were as high as the weather today, and I could see there was a certain glow to everyone. I started looking around the area we were in as it was late last night when we arrived. Again, nothing was out of the ordinary. Then Jacosta said to me, “I am hungry; let’s go!”

She led our group as we started walking back towards the restaurant; I could see all the weird birds sitting on the lamps, looking like they were enjoying themselves. They also seemed happy as they sat in a pair brushing up against each other, showing affection, as did the various people around. Everyone today looked modestly happy; it was nice to see.
Retracing the steps we took, the more we walked around Geroleo, the more the city became a tad more recognizable to me,’ If I only had an in-game map, I thought.’
I was slowly starting to get the general layout of everything, but having used a GPS for so long, it was odd not having access to a digital map. At least everything in these two locations in the city I have been to and from so frequently I remembered. I could tell the ladies stayed close today besides me; they were all within a metre or so of myself today, and I noticed Jacosta was not running too far ahead like before, which was,’ Odd.’
I quickly got overheated the more we walked around as the red hot sun beat down on my neck. It was an uncomfortable hot sticky day outside and was somehow very damp at the same time from the rain earlier. I was beginning to get tired when I saw inching their way closer to me was Reena and Jacosta. Then before I knew it, they grabbed an arm each while Maria looked on in jealously. Now tightly close by in each of my arms, they held on as we walked the rest of the walk linked. It was nice; in both of my hands, I had a handful of the fluffy soft, firm tail of both of them in each of my hands.
It was, however, strange not to see Jacosta being joyful and carefree like she normally was when we walked, though she, Maria, and Reena seemed happy, so I did not bother to mention anything towards them about it. I was just happy to have some company while I explored the city, and to top it off, they were cute guides; being with these gorgeous babes was a real bonus for my self-esteem.
While we ate, I had told them while inside, “later in the day after we left Shaunty's that we needed to make sure we had supplies for this arena and the tournament.” I turned and mentioned to Jacosta and Reena alone, pulling them into a huddle, “I did not have any mana potions for her (MP) or fighting power (FP) potions for myself or Jacosta.”
Though when I said that, Jacosta turned and told me with food in her mouth, “I don’t use “(FP)” whatever that is” Now, sipping her soups broth, she continued to eat.
At that time, Maria had to go to work for the day, turning and saying before she left to us all, “I will meet up later with you guys.” Then just like that, she started to walk away as her hips swayed back and forth. Her tail going with the motion until she disappeared into the back kitchen.
Looking back on it, I should have followed up with Jacosta about what she meant, I never needed to give anyone mana potions or fighting, so I mean, I never cared to ask what she meant. I only ever needed them in my bag’s inventory for myself online. Besides my flying equipment, the only thing I kept was the (FP) and (HP) potions I used on daily quests. My old teammates, Ferish, Chum, Carter and Lavidia, always carried their own supplies. However, these two had no supplies or magical inventory. Sighing now, “Ugh hmm.” I said to myself, “After all, I used swords and all my abilities that I was skilled in used and required (FP). If I remember correctly, I was running dangerously low on my own fighting power, and I would have restocked in the game beforehand if I knew. After we beat that boss, Drakole the Unending, I never thought I’d need potions again. So I never had a chance to refill my inventory.”
Zoning back while we walked through the markets. Bumping into someone, the man dropped the things he was carrying; he looked unimpressed and yelled, “Watch it, punk!” Picking up the things he dropped, I answered him and apologized, ”Sorry about that,”
Jacosta laughed as she turned to face me. We searched all morning and could not find the magic potion I needed ‘(FP),’ which sucked because apparently, it did not exist. So today’s plan now was to train in the arena as a team or try to. Still, if it were similar to Gepot, once a newcomer arrived, it was common everyone would be quick to challenge them, and well, if that happened, we won't be able to get in any training, and there would be a gank and a massive fight in the center.
Not to mention we needed both potions to drink so as not to exhaust ourselves before tomorrow's tournament, and I could not find (FP). I was not interested in backpacking the team through it without it, unsure what happened if I exhausted myself of all my power; I still have yet to see what they were capable of also on their own.
The only natural way to recover (FP) was to be still or relaxed in a ritual alter. I wondered if that was how it was in this world. Was there a difference from in the game World of Gepot? This was not Gepot or a game. This was very much real-life, that much was clear, but it was strange. ‘I still did not know what this place was, how I ended up in it, or how It was; I became my character, the Demon Azurith from Gepot.’
I eventually figured out I did have about 42390 (FP) points available at my disposal, but the chain skills I would use almost used the full bar when I played before. If Azurith activated the full chain, I might pass out. When I would use that before in a full chain, my character would almost become still while he recovered; that is why I had on the hot bar (FP) potions. That was how it was, at least when I use to play video games. I still had no idea what would happen if he used all my points up in a place like this, now thinking to myself,
“Would I drop to the floor drop my weapons pass-out? Would I just become heavy like in-game or something worst?”
Wherever I was, this is something I would have to learn eventually though I decided to put it off for the time being; it did cross my mind, ‘This arena could be the perfect place to test some theories. Was it like the game I played every day for so long? If so, how does taking damage to one apply? In-game, Id take damage lose (HP), but I wouldn’t feel it...Swords and other weapons could slice right through me here if I am not careful...How do health points work here if that happens? The other day I could feel the sword strike, and I felt weird after.’
I could see the odd glance from Reena and Jacosta as they stared every so often at me; they were not impressed by how I was ignoring them the whole walk to the Arena after we had eaten and dropped of Maria as they whispered to each other I tried to listen. Then, suddenly I felt Reena poke me in the ribs continuously, then following up, she started tickling me next. Finally, she broke my concentration, laughing and smiling; I asked, “What are you doing? Stop that, Reena!”
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Reena smiling while Jacosta jolted around to join in with a grin on her face; she answered me and said, “We had enough of you ignoring us time to suffer the wrath!” I stopped worrying as we continued searching the markets.
I could hear Jacosta humming beside me at this time while holding my arm. But I also started to hear familiar voices from last night from a distance, and with that, we ran into the guild from last night who came by our room. Now across from us in the streets was the group from last night. As random strangers walked by the ladies and I continued looking at them, I noticed we caught each other's eye, and everyone stopped in the middle of the road. So now we were all stopped in the road and our tracks as they walked over waving.
It was in a friendly manner, looking at each other afterwards. This moment was like when some deer got caught in some headlights. The older man walked up. He was an elderly-looking human man with grey running through his hair. He had some leather armour and his weapon over his shoulder, which was a magnificent-looking bow. He walked up to me, and Introduced himself properly and said,” Good morning Azurith, My name is Arthur, can I ask, are you feeling any better?”
I completely forgot about staying around the Tavern to talk with them like they had asked Reena to tell me yesterday. But it seemed to have crossed my mind, and we left though it seemed like it did not bother the gentlemen.
Then I began to inspect the older man more closely, leading the team in front of us all. I could see he had an old creepy man vibe to him as he would grin at every younger human female who would walk by. Arthur's eyes were brown, and he had a french moustache, and slung over his shoulder was a unique bow that had a glow to it and was red. Arthur was wearing a nice black leather armour set that looked like it was made of a high-quality pelt. The blacksmiths who made it exposed the value of the leather on purpose as the pelt still had fur around the neck. He also had on a bright green shirt and black pants with armoured forearm bracers, with some high black boots. The older man was also wearing on his head covering his hair, a fancy white fedora with a red feather sticking off coming off the side of it.
Once I scanned him with my skill, ‘eyes of detect,’ the scan showed me his full name, level, and health in my vision. I saw he was Arthur Pelodin. Arthur was a part of, The Knights of Geroleo. Besides that information, it told me the class and level he was. Arthur was a level 65 Ranger. I started to piece together what must have been the city’s guild's information at the end of his name.
Now that I finished the scan on Arthur, I started looking at the younger Human man standing beside him; as he looked around, I then scanned him with my skill; I saw his information just like before in my vision. His name was Paul Griffi, also with The Knight’s of Geroleo. He was in a level 54 Acrobat class.
I saw he had long red hair and blue eyes, and the armour he was wearing was an almost full blue set of knights' armour that complemented his eyes. Paul's armour looked more like a traditional knight style of armour, like something in the iron age design. I noticed Paul had around his waist tied to a belt a kind of bladed Yo-Yo. I had never seen a weapon like that before in any game or even something like that used ever in my world.
This weapon before my eyes confused me the more I examined it. The more my head hurt trying to think how it worked, and it did not look like you would use it hand to hand. Though his armour looked as if you did, it was unusual for this weapon. As I inspected the armour some more, I noticed on it in some spots there was a pearl white colouring, like on the knees and elbows where it separated, allowing movement of all the joints of his body, I assume to allow for better movement and mobility.
The set was clearly made with defence in mind as I was of a bulky, heavy iron or steel. If I would have guessed, this armour must have weighed a lot. Looking closer at it, I saw it must have been reinforced; I began to think to myself, “He must have had a lot of strength to wear this.”
I continued looking at the younger human man, Paul’s helmet sort of was in the style of a nausea helmet, and on the crown of the helmet, it appeared to be some crest holder. It looked like a lion holding a plume of hair, with the hair coming from its hands as it clasped them together. The helmet was open at the face allowing the user to see everything in front of them.
Finally, turning my attention and looking at the last man, I scanned the Elf standing behind the two Humans. He looked at me right in the eyes as I did it. I began to get nervous, thinking, 'Did he know?'
The last man was an Elf with long white hair, pointy ears, and green eyes. I could see the Elven man wearing a red and white robe that looked rather interesting, something Carter used but fancier. It was rather majestic. Under it, he was wearing a light polished silver steel or iron armour plate with some material covering his shoulders, chest and legs. While I was looking at him, I saw he was holding onto what appeared to be a metal walking stick of some kind with his left hand.
When the scan finished, the information displayed said his name was Lest Silverwing, The Knight of Geroleo. Lest was a level 56 Mentalist, and while I scanned him, the man looked at me directly into my eyes. That caught me off guard. It was as if he was reading my thoughts, which shook me a little, if I was honest. While I continued staring at them for a bit, once I got all the information I needed, I looked down and away before answering Arthur's question, “Hey Arthur, I am doing fine this morning. Thank you for asking. I am doing a lot better, a lot better.”
I could tell the older man, who called himself Arthur, who was now across from me, was surprised. Answering me with a suspicious tone in his voice, he replied, “Well, that’s good...If you accompany us to the guild now so that we may take your guild's information and bill them for the damage done, we will be done here, and you can carry on with your day.”
I responded to his question right away, saying, “I was busy trying to go to the market and did not feel like going to the guild they were from.”
However, It did cross my mind that this would be a good chance to ask some questions about where I was or how I could get home. Someone like Arthur must have had some information. If it is like the game I played, there will be an NPC inside who also sells good equipment and potions. Remembering now that I was not a part of that guild and could not buy anything, thinking out loud, I said, “Shit.”
I could tell Arthur, Lest, and Paul all heard me, which must have confused them. Arthur began thinking they must have said something to upset me. I could not help but start thinking to myself at that moment, “Wait, did I say that out loud? Never mind.”
Now answering Arthur’s question once again, I said,” If you allow me to use your guilds shop, we will go there at once and fill out the paperwork you ask for me. After that, I will pay for the damages and will call it a day.”
Arthur continued to look at me strangely for a moment as the Elf Lest answered for him, replying to me with a tone of disgust in his voice,” I doubt he would allow an outsider like you to use our.” Then, as Arthur interrupted him, he stuck his hand out to tell his friend to wait and said towards Reena, Jacosta and I,” Sure, think this way, follow us.”
The two girls looked shocked and turned to me with a general look of amazement on their faces, which I did not understand why, as did the other two men he was with. I could see everyone who heard what Arthur had said was left with their speechless jaws wide open. Unaware or not understanding, I did not really understand the big deal. I mean, I could see their jaws almost hanging so low they were touching the floor.
Now in shock, Lest spun and walked into a wall as Paul helped him up. Then, the three guild members started leading us in a new direction I had yet to walk down before. As we began to walk towards the guild, I felt Jacosta tugged on my arm. When I looked over towards her, I could see her tail wagging, and she had a cute expression on her face with her canine teeth poking through her lips. Jacosta was barely able to contain herself when she said to me, “Are you sure you want to go there with us? We can wait outside if you like.”
Her words may have said one thing, but her actions were saying something else as I replied to her in a sweet tone of voice, “Yes, I am sure can come along; that also goes for you too, Reena; we will get some stuff more stuff for our visit to the Arena!”
‘Maybe I can find out some answers while we are there as well,’
