I looked around the arena; briefly, the ladies beside me were ready. I was ready, but right as the symbols lifted from the floor, I could hear the voice of Arthur yell out from afar,” Heaven’s light arrow!” As a beam of bright light came flying towards us, it was bright blinding. I jumped in front of it and sliced it in two with Nullifying Strike’. The strike slowly began separating the light down the middle as a spacial noise echoed. My strike caused his Heaven's light arrow to explode before doing any real damage to the girls. Seira then took this advantage, moving past me as I noticed the symbol glowing on Seira's bow as she leaned over, yelling out her skill-shot, "Fairy’s-Wrath."
I grabbed Jacosta, and we moved behind her to avoid the ice. I knew what came next, but so did our opponents; they must have watched us the last few rounds and got an idea of our skills. I watched as the group we were facing moved out of its way and avoided the ice. Jacosta grabbed my shirt and asked while the dust was settling, "What do you want me to do, Azurith?" But before I could respond to her and tell her what her job in this fight was, I saw the Slayers then proceeded to run down the flank while Arthur pinned me down with a hail of arrows. First, a magical circle appeared above high in the air as a lonely arrow fell. Next, hundreds of needles then fell, causing me to use twirling strikes on the defensive. Finally, Seira and Jacosta began to retreat towards my position. At the same time, I did my best to deflect Arthur’s arrows, but his shots had more power and accuracy to them than the previous Rangers and were quickly draining me of the little stamina I had left.
Suddenly I coughed up blood from being previously injured, 'Not now.'
I let my guard down for only a second, and an arrow hit me in the side. Seira and Jacosta, now arriving by my side as the spell faded. Seira began to intercept the arrows blasting them out of the air. Once they got Arthur under control, Jacosta took the arrow out of my side; looking worried over at me, she cried, "Azurith."
Pain ran through my body as I kneeled, gripping my sword. I responded to Jacosta and said, "I'm fine. We have company,"
Looking up as the blurry image of two individuals ran forward, I closed my eyes and stood up. "Let's do this, Jacosta Seira, cover us."
Together Jacosta and I ran forward, matching their speed; we clashed in the middle with the Slayers who were charging us as I told her, “This is not looking too good for us, Jacosta,”
Activating my skill, 'Delorose-sword.' The swords began to float lifelessly and crossed blades preparing. With Jacosta in the lead with my four magical red swords floating by my side, we attacked. Jumping over Jacosta, I slammed down into the arena's stone floor, cracking it. The shockwave began cracking the stones beside where I landed, flipping them sending them flying off in various directions. Now locked in an epic sword fight, it was as fast-paced as ever. Everyone began to swing dodge block duck. The magical red swords supporting Jacosta made her an even match with everyone. With the help of my magical swords, Jacosta was able to hold her own.
It was not until the enemy destroyed one of the red swords the tables began to change. One by one, each sword took too much damage and faded away, leaving a gap in the guard. Jacosta did not notice this; with the pink armoured Slayer's next move, I watched, unable to help as the Slayer, who went by the name Sara swung her axe and cut across Jacosta across the back, leaving a considerable cut. I could hear Jacosta cry out, dropping to her knees as the Slayer went to stab her to finish her. I managed to kick the Slayer and create some space using distance close I shot over.
'I will not allow this, and I will protect them this time.'
I acted as fast as I could, making it just in time. I was deflecting the next blow aside while kicking Jacosta back out of the way. I watched as she rolled around a bit until she lay still. Unfortunately, Seira was also at this time losing her battle. My stomach began to twist, looking at everyone being slowly picked apart, sweat began to pour down my head. 'This is not good. Why is this happening!'
I could hear Seira taking arrow after arrow to the body as she would scream out in anger each time an arrow hit her. 'She has got spunk even after everything.'

While I faced down the two slayers across from me, standing in the way of them and Jacosta, I continued to see Seira trying to run and dodge the incoming arrows that were being shot at her. Still, that sight where you know the person would be better turning to fight than running. So, with no other options left, I decided while defeat was at their door to use a risky skill called 'Berserk-skill.'
The information read: The skill beserk consumes 100 (FP) a second but allows the user to transform into a hideous monster to quadruple their stats for the given affected period. 'That extra information concerned me.'
After deflecting the strike, the blood continued to run down my side, leg, and occasionally, I would cough it up as well. Time itself slowed down as I decided; It was time. I closed my eyes and activated the 'Demon-Berserker.' When I used that skill, I could feel my heart stop beating for a second before my veins turned black, and a red magic circle began to spark and crackle underneath me as the crowd started to cheer until they saw what came next. The bright blue sky turned grey as it began to rain for a few seconds, and lightning hit the stadium. As the red magic began to float off the floor and in case my body slowly started transforming into a hideous Demon with black wings, I could feel my horns growing more prolonged, and what followed next, surrounding me now, was a black cloud. The dark aura loomed high above me, and in the arena's sky that eclipsed the sunlight was a full moon. No longer could any light be seen.
What little hope I had left was replaced with rage. My once kind eyes were now filled with sheer hate; the pupils were bloodshot red, and behind them was the blank void black. Blood was dripping from them, and no longer could I be recognized. Instead, I could feel my body slowly transforming into a monster. One of the slayers jumped back seeing this transformation, and I shot forward using 'Distance-close, followed by the chained twirling strikes. As I attacked them, using my wings now to strike at every possible angle. While they did their best to survive the onslaught, faster than their eye could see, I teleported, then re-appearing behind them, I used the skill, 'Cross-Strikes.'
After a few stabs, unable to dodge everything I threw at her, she was left almost naked as I destroyed the Slayer Sara’s armour, and she was left cut and bruised, barely able to stand. She stood before me now cut, bleeding from several cuts that were beginning to open in her underclothing. The men in the crowd started to whistle as she tried to cover up her chest, but I would come in and do her a favour next using the skill, 'Twilight-Strike.' From high above now looking down on her like the ant she was to me. When Arthur noticed me and took a shot, I vanished before then while seamlessly re-appearing, unloading my skill point-blank. There Sara was eliminated one down.
I could feel no pain, no fear, and I turned to the other Slayer who charged his shield and threw it towards me, smashing upside my skull. I couldn't feel it, but my sight went blurry for a moment. Dazed from the attack, I could no see as the Slayer ran forward and impaled me in one area where the battle before had damaged my armour. Returning the favour, I stabbed the Slayer over and over again until he to fell over. I pulled out his sword and threw it to the side. I looked around, and when I saw the last man across from me, I slowly began approaching them. Arthur was about to finish Seira, but after hearing the announcer’s commentary that I had defeated his allies, he dropped Seira and turned his attention towards me, throwing aside Seira like a lifeless doll. This sent me into a rage.
Now running towards me, I watched him raise his bow. Dodging the first few shots bobbing and weaving, I regained my footing and ran forward to meet him. We both activated our skills. To try and evade his, I leaped up into the air, only to be shot down by a magical onslaught of arrows. After the attack was made and the smoke cleared, I could barely stand; getting up once more, I charged Arthur like a rabid animal. I was hoping this time to catch him off guard. With this rush forward, I succeeded in catching him off guard, slicing across his leg, landing a crippling injury to the older man.
As Arthur followed up with his own skill, he shot me. Everything became surreal as I lay there. The air slowly began to leave my body. As I looked down, I saw the Ranger shot me several times in the heart. My eyes returning to their normal colour, horn shrinking, wings disappearing, I tried to get up, but my body gave out and stopped working on me.
On the floor near death, I regained my sanity only to fall back, gasping for air choking on blood as Arthur walked up to finish me with an arrow. I saw him standing over me with his brow raised. I could hear the noise of something in the air whistling as Seira shot one arrow in his direction; I watched as it flew in and hit him in the back of the head. Arthur then fell forward onto me before disappearing into a magical circle. Seira ran over and held me tightly into her arms, ignoring that I was bleeding all over her. She held me tightly; I could feel the warmth of her body from her breath as she breathed over me. I could hear just her in those 10 seconds from death as she said, “We did it!” I closed my eyes, and I think I died in her arms. When I finally opened my eye’s up I was in the same bed I found myself on the first day I woke up in Geroleo, I was all alone.
