I don’t find it all that interesting to watch mortals fornicate. I like it when they do, but it’s kind of boring to watch.
Well, most of the time. As we discussed, this isn’t always true, but I think only the professionals of Earth know how to really make it depraved enough to really be interesting.
Leena only wanted missionary, and she held Hector’s face with both hands and kept telling him to look in her eyes and tell her how beautiful she was and how lucky he was to have her.
She was really into it.
So was Hector. He was really super into it.
I won’t lie, interesting or not, Bob, Az’ga, and I were kind of super into it too, and that’s why no one noticed Carlos sneak up and crack a huge rock over Hector’s head. It made a noise almost as impressive as Ace’s neck cracking.
We knew Leena had snuck up to check on Carlos while Hector was yelling out to her as he tortured Chet. Her overhead camera let us know where she was, but we couldn’t see her or what she was doing.
We knew she was extremely nervous the whole time, but that was normal and expected considering the situation.
We didn’t notice her put anything in Carlos’ mouth. We thought she was just checking on him and verifying he was dead before slinking off south and back around so she could approach Hector from the same direction she had run off to.
Before that, she had checked on Ace and Andrew. We thought she was going to pilfer their corpses. She didn’t. She never lost Shade Stealth. We were messaging Hector’s tech with her location, and Hector kept twisting his head around hoping to spot her.
Since the only healing Orbment this party had slotted was Ace’s Healing Song, each member always carried a few healing pills around with them. We’re certain Carlos was given one of those.
With Dan acting as everyone’s sugar-daddy, Leena had a lot of frags. She wasn’t a saver. She spent a lot on expensive performance enhancing pills and elixirs to help with tougher Trials and boss fights.
We think she also gave Carlos some starch-root extract and a vim pill. That combo would get him going, kick him into high gear, and get the most out of the healing pill. Az’ga thinks he was given a sanctuary capsule too.
If the fornicating wasn’t going on, we would’ve definitely noticed something. We had no idea Carlos was cultivating anything.
The guy was basically dead. We all thought his back was broken. That always equals dead. Or basically dead, even if the participant isn’t quite fully dead yet, so his screen was minimized.
MANA ARMOR and his dumb Trait had to have prevented his back from fully breaking. His head was a diff…
[What was his Trait again?]
Flexible.
[I remember now. How’s it worded?]
It basically says…ah, never mind. I’ll pull it up. Here it is.
Flexible: You're more pliable and can more easily bend or twist the body and its parts without injury.
Maybe the Trait helped somehow, maybe it didn’t, but if you saw that backbreaker move, you’d think he was dead too.
Hector tossed him way up in the air. He landed on those knees so hard. The noise it made was sickening. That move was even named ‘Hector’s Double Knee Backbreaker.’
Anyone watching would’ve thought Carlos had a broken back and was basically dead.
Like Hector, we weren’t paying attention to anything but the fornicating.
I may not find it all that interesting when non-professional mortals fornicate, but it’s way better than watching them expel waste from their various orifices, and I always watch them do that whenever I can.
Like my whore mother used to say – an orifice is an orifice. If I can’t explore them, watching them do things is better than nothing.
Well, anyway, Carlos bashed that rock down and Hector collapsed in a daze on top of Leena.
Carlos went to bash the rock again, but Hector rolled off Leena and Carlos almost killed the lady that had just saved him.
Ha! That would’ve been hilarious, right?
Hector was dazed, but he wasn’t done in. Carlos probably knew how this would play out. The only way this could play out.
As Leena tried scrambling to all fours, Carlos shouldered her out of the way and said some gibberish in Spanish that sounded like, “Vas!” Then, “Vete ya! Chet! Go! Chet! Go!”
Leena let out a horrified sob as Carlos stepped in front of her. She grabbed up her clothes as she cried and ran towards Chet.
Hector was a couple meters away, rubbing his head. It didn’t look like he was paying close attention to Carlos.
Carlos rushed forward and went to bash that rock on his opponent again, but Hector managed to partially block the rock with his arm as he swept Carlos’ legs out from under him.
Both men rushed to get back on their feet. Once standing, they squared off.
Hector hadn’t used any of his Orbments since this fight started. He had only used one mana technique. The blood pull thing.
But now it was as if he and Carlos both agreed to unspoken rules. No mana. No Orbments. This would be an old-fashioned street brawl, and the two large men began to throw hands.
Since they both spoke Spanish, they had bonded pretty tightly.
There was a decent sized group of Spanish-speakers in Sanctuary Town, and Hector and Carlos would hang out with them all the time. Carlos more so than Hector, but life became much better for Carlos when he had someone in his party that spoke English and Spanish equally well.
The two former friends were going at it like feral dogs, just bashing away at each other. Hector managed to grab his opponent’s right wrist and began throwing body blow after body blow into Carlos’ fat gut.
But Carlos managed to trap that arm and headbutted Hector in the nose, sending him stumbling back. Then both men squared up again.
As the men were battering each other, I thought Leena would go and grab the dagger she had dropped earlier and help Carlos out.
I was hoping for that. If she joined the fight, that could get Hector to really start trying.
It seemed like he was just toying with his victims. Granted, I do exactly the same when I can, but since my pay is tied up in this Game, I can’t condone Hector doing it.
But instead of Leena grabbing that dagger and helping Carlos, she listened to Carlos. She was still in drama-queen mode and loudly sobbing like a nutcase as she grabbed up Chet.
She barely had the strength to carry Chet and run, even with B+ grade Strength and about 20 points in it. Her intrinsic upper body strength was pure garbage. Just complete shit.
We can’t see when a tech appears to a participant on their team, so we don’t know if Hector’s was telling him to snap out of it, focus, and go after Leena and Chet or what, but we were furiously messaging that tech and telling him to tell Hector that.
Leena was halfway to the tutorial’s exit by the time Hector mounted Carlos and began just raining down devastating blow after devastating blow right into Carlos’ stupid fat face. And remember, he was wearing those gauntlets.
Hector kept going until he was just punching chunks of skull into the ground. Then he kept doing that for some time.

After Leena appeared in the Boneyard, instead of helping with the aberrations she and Chet spawned, she looked at the four guys there like they were monsters, made a horrific noise, and stumbled to the ground as she tried getting away from them.
Those guys weren’t even near her. They gave her a couple concerned looks, but for the most part they were focusing on the spawns and staying alive.
Leena scurried to her feet and hurriedly collected her clothes and Chet, then ran eastwards, still crying and sobbing like a psycho.
Participants grind a lot of Trials for various reasons. For instance, they can get a ton of beast cores grinding the Trial of the Savages.
No one really grinds the Mausoleum of Bak'ung. SS rating isn’t too difficult to achieve after the battle strategy and boss cheat are known. It’s ignored after participants get their armor or robe reward.
I don’t know what Leena would’ve done if that Trial was occupied or resetting. She ran right into it and collapsed to the floor. She held onto the still unconscious Chet as she rocked back and forth while wailing. Like a complete maniac.
None of us had any idea what was going on with her. Her mentals were going wild. She…
[Not one of you? Not even Az’ga?]
No. Not a clue. Az’ga was as confused as Bob and I were. Wait, are saying you know what was going on with her?
[Of course I know. To keep Hector distracted and give Carlos enough time to heal, she allowed herself to be raped. She pretended to enjoy it. No easy feat. It would require iron resolve and fortitude.]
Uh, I hate to disagree, Boss, but nope. Leena initiated the fornication. She loved it. She was super into it.
[She was pretending. It’s obvious. Her goal was to save Carlos and Chet.]
Well, she didn’t try to help Carlos much once he was healed, now did she?
[Carlos sacrificed himself to save his companions. He ordered her to flee with the boy.]
I guess I can’t disagree with that part.
[Her Trait changed, correct?]
Yeah. A line was added to it. It just said, “Oath broken.” That dumb bitch screwed herself even more than she screwed Hector.
[She didn’t ‘screw’ Hector.]
Oh, she did. I saw it. I have a recording. I can show you. She screwed his brains out.
[I assure you that she did not. Let’s move on. You lack the required sensibilities to understand the situation.]
I don’t…ah, maybe. Let’s say you’re right. If she was just faking…wow, she deserves an Academy Award almost as much as the cast and crew of ‘Over the Top’ do.
And I think I could maybe know what you’re saying. A little. No, more than a little. A little bit more than a little.
I told you I was imprisoned during my Ethnological Observation on Earth, right?
[Yes.]
It was pretty crazy. I had always heard unwanted-sexual-harassment was a real thing, but I never believed it. After my imprisonment, I kind of do, but only just a smidge. Oh, man, the things they did to me were almost unspeakable. Almost.
Like, half unspeakable, and half just a really wonderful boost to my ego. My defecator was in extremely high demand. Those guys just couldn’t get enough of Acesso LaBlacky.
Being a prison-bitch was kind of degrading and terrible, but also kind of nice. I had never been so desired in all my life.
[Let’s just move on.]
You got it, Boss. We’ll just put a pin in my prison story and come back to it later. It’s a great story. Inspiring. You’ll want to hear it. Trust me.
Okay, so Leena was sobbing like a mad woman, rocking Chet in her arms.
She was still naked. Chet’s dreams were coming true, but for whatever reason, when he regained consciousness, he didn’t go for it.
He sat up as best he could with his injured legs, held Leena tightly, and cried like a huge sissy right along with her.
And that was that. They stayed in the lobby of the Trial for hours and hours before finally initiating it.
After cultivating a few healing pills, Chet’s legs were fine, but neither he nor Leena seemed to have their heart in it when they finished the instance.
They knew the ear and nose cheat, so it wasn’t too difficult for them to beat the boss.
Oh, in case you’re wondering, Leena was clothed again by then. She didn’t stay naked for very long, not as any self-respecting demon would have.
When they finally exited the Trial and made their way to Sanctuary Town, there wasn’t one. Lot of dead participants all over the place though. And I mean a lot. Ha!
Those two had made it inside the Mausoleum of Bak'ung only like 15 or 20 minutes before the monster waves initiated.
Any instance of an area with participants Dan personally knew, even if just slightly, had every available tech hit their Sortilege. The techs that still had it available, that is. Bob, Az’ga, and I couldn’t since we had used all ours for every area besides the last.
Leena and Chet saved themselves by entering that Trial and staying in it for almost the max time allowed.
On the other hand, the other party exited the Trial of Might at absolutely the most perfect time.
They were pretty spent from the Trial. They had a rough time completing it, and it took a lot more time than expected.
They were so glad it was over, and so glad that they had all made it out alive.
Dotty and Luke were a little injured but pretending they weren’t. Nick and Ida Mae were a little injured and not hiding it. If anything, those two were hamming it up.
Ida Mae was carrying Bonnie in her arms. It looked like she was happy to have people that accepted her, were helping her out, and didn’t get too mad if she stole a few of their things or told them a few lies.
I should mention that it was fine to leave Bonnie alone in the lobby of most Trials that don’t unlock early. Fine for her, I mean. I wish there was a way she could escape, get kidnapped, or injure herself, but sadly, there weren’t any.
So, out they walked expecting to be greeted by Ace and those guys. Instead, they saw a shitload of corpses and monsters.
And better yet, a shitload of monsters saw them.
We could see their souls being crushed. The Trial of Might was resetting. It wouldn’t open back up for about a half hour, so they couldn’t reenter. There was nothing they could do.
They stood there, defeated, knowing this was the end for them, their backs to the Trial door, ready to go out fighting.
No way they were getting out of this alive. No way. Not with how many monsters they saw headed towards them.
Luke said something in hillbilly we couldn’t decipher. We listened to it about 10 times. As best we can tell, he said, “Suffering succotash, big trucks, cowboy hats, giant belt buckles, hoedowns, grits, Garth Brooks, and incest.”
Whatever that idiot said, the others understood it better than we could. He didn’t give them time to reply. He usually carried a short spear on his back, but his main weapon was a bow from the exhibit. Those all come with a bottomless quiver.
Luke charged at that big group of monsters with his bow plucking, drawing and loosing arrows like a machine as he sang a country ditty to activate his Orbments.
His mentals were as calm as a millpond, like he was relaxing at a park on a Sunday. He laterally kited the creatures south, drawing them all away from his party.
Even after that game ended and monsters were all around him, he still didn’t get nervous. He sidestepped around attacks I was certain would get him, dropped his bow, grabbed the little spear, and made an impressive show of what mana he had remaining.
He didn’t go down easily. He died surrounded by plenty of his enemy’s corpses. We were all very impressed. We didn’t think that idiot had it in him to put up that much of a fight.
With Luke dead, I was left with zero members of my team I found even slightly attractive. But on the other hand, my team’s average IQ shot way up.
As soon as Luke took off with his bow plucking, the others followed whatever directions he had given in whatever unknown language it was spoken in.
They took off north, trying to creep stealthily but speedily, and failing at both like the fools they were.
It looked like they were trying to make it to the Trial of Power. If it was open, they could hide in there and hope it was safe outside by the time they were forced to exit.
But, as I said earlier, parties were scheduling Trials days and days out, and the Trial of Power was a popular one to grind. It was occupied.
Az’ga thought the plan was to check that Trial, see if it was open, and if it wasn’t, they’d run to the large open area north of it and try and hide out there.
Whatever the plan was, it was doomed to failure.
There was another large group of monsters right near that Trial. A lot of corpses of participants too, probably from a couple parties waiting nearby for their turn to run it.
What happened next was delightful. The creatures didn’t notice my team members. Not until that little punk-ass bitch Bonnie started crying.
My archnemesis, a mortal I wanted dead even more than Dan, was helping me out and doing her best to get everyone killed. Our Dark Master works in mysterious ways.
Now it was Nick’s turn to be the hero. He was finally learning what his brother had been telling him the whole time. What this Game is about.
He unshouldered his glaive and said, “Try the castle. Maybe it can be defended. Run!” Then he charged at the monsters.
All that was left now were dumb broads. And Austin, but he was very dumb-broad-ish, so we’ll just consider him one for consistency’s sake.
After sprinting for some time, Dotty spotted some movement and told everyone to get down. She asked, “Where’s Ida Mae?”
Not with them. None of these fools knew. We didn’t either. She’s not one of my team members. Neither Bob, Az’ga, nor I had noticed her slink off.
They kept moving until the large group that had killed Luke caught back up and spotted them. Dotty crushed Austin to her bosom and said, “Listen, sweety, you be a good boy for Aunty Becky now.”
She then kissed Becky on the cheek, Bonnie on the head, and told them to run. Embers flared from her hands as she rushed forward to give her life in battle.
Becky, Austin, and Bonnie made it to the Castle. Becky looked in a window and saw plenty of corpses but no monsters. They crept around checking all the floors of the castle, finding it free of monsters.
On their return to the third floor from the roof, Becky heard some growling and barking downstairs.
She knelt down in front of Austin, put on a smile, and said, “Hey little man, it’s time for you to be a big man today. You got to take Bonnie and hide in the bathroom.”
“Please, please don’t leave me,” pleaded Austin, his voice whiny and fearful.
“I got to go check downstairs. You heard what I heard down there. I’ll be back soon, but if I ain’t, just know that I’ll always be with you, right there in your heart, and I never wanted to leave you. And what would Mrs. Dotty say if I stayed here and got her favorite boy killed?”
Austin began to cry. He said, “She wouldn’t like that, but she wouldn’t want you to go and die. Please.”
“I don’t want to die neither, Austin. I’ll do my best to get back. You can believe that, but it’s my job to look out for Bonnie and you. And I owe you about a thousand hide whoopings still anyhow. Don’t think just because I haven’t done it yet I ain’t planning on it.”
Austin started balling and grabbed on to Becky. She kissed her daughter and said, “I love you, my little baby girl. I love you so much. Remember, no matter what, me and daddy are always there with you, always.”
Becky passed Bonnie to Austin. She kissed his head and said, “And I love you too, you little shit. I hope I see you soon.”
Austin cried-laughed for a moment, then said, “You better. And…and I love you. Tell Mrs. Dotty I love her too. If you see her.” He hugged her again with the arm not holding Bonnie.
Becky kissed her daughter one last time and said to Austin, “Go on now. Get that little ass in the bathroom. You stay real quiet and hide real good. I’m trusting you with my daughter, big man.”
A bow made of vines grew out of her hand as she headed down the stairs.
