It just looked like a massive hole in the side of a steep cliff that I could enter even when standing at my full height, the only thing giving away the fact that it is the entrance to a spider layer was a small amount of spider webbing that was at the top of the entrance.
“Now since this is a kind of test of your skill, we’re going to let you take the lead and only interfere when you can’t go any further, oh and please don’t use to much fire magic as it will quickly consume all the air inside and kill us.“ Aldor warned before we entered
Once we moved further into the cave, it started to narrow and different paths that weren’t natural started to appear. These paths seemed to have been molten in as the edges were smooth and had these overlapping parts where it looks like it had solidified while moving. These tunnels were about 10 meters in diameter and forced me to shrink to about five meters tall if I wanted to fight a little more comfortably.
After we followed the tunnels down for about ten minutes without any combat, we got to the first chamber with a small number of spiders, these didn’t really look like spiders from my world however, these had slenderer bodies that weren’t divided into three easily identifiable parts, they also weren’t as hairy being almost completely coffered in a chitin armor. They weren’t very big or strong and died with just one slice of my blade. But once we got to the second room I got a better fight, this room had a bunch of the smaller week spiders, but it also had two bigger “flow spiders” these were spiders that could use flow magic to attack or defend. The weaker spiders went in for the attack first while one of the flow spiders tried to use his magic to send a sound blast to alert the rest of the nest to our presence so before he could I loaded a bolt without the explosive enchantment on it into my railgun and activated the lightning magic to power it which launched it at mach-5 straight through the creepy bug, then the second flow spider tried to do the same but at this point I was already sick of seeing these creepy things so I just used lightning magic to kill a of the spiders at once like some sort of gigantic bug zapper.
“Ok, enough of this. Watching the fighting is way to f*ckin’ boring for me!” Grog said annoyed
“Finally, someone said it.” said Aldor with a sigh of relief
“you’ve already proven your usefulness just by being able to use every kind of magic” he continued
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
“so let’s just enjoy the fight while we’re down here instead of wasting the opportunity to do a test” he said with a wide smile
So while the others all got ready for a “fun” fight I did as well by shrinking to my more human size to also get a better experience, oh... I almost forgot my new skill.
Using (Sword creation) I duplicated my sword five more times so I could sextuple wield them with my flow magic.
“That’s the spirit!” Grog yelled excitedly with a big grin
“now let’s charge!!!” he screamed with excitement as we started running down one of the tunnels that was connected to the chamber we were just in
The first to reach the next chamber was Grog, he wields a one-handed, double-sided axe with a wrapped leather handle. He fought using nothing but raw strength and sometimes just punched the heavily armored spiders to death, his axe was also extremely sharp and could cut the bugs with just the slightest touch.
Next was Aldor who wielded an expensive looking silver or steel sword, he also wore heavy armor and a red cape which really made him look like a “hero” type, he fought gracefully with clearly practiced strikes and an efficient use of magic. The magic he used was that of light/ dark which he used to blind these nocturnal creatures with bright flashes or to bend the light around himself to become invisible.
Eliz followed quickly behind using ice-magic from her hands or flow magic from her staff, the staff was a long piece of wood that had branches at the tip which had grown around a crystal of some kind, she used the ice magic to freeze her enemies and the flow magic from her staff to throw Boulders, but something about her magic seemed strange, outside the fact that she was using multiple types of magic she seemed to have very little control over the strength of her magic, it didn’t cause her to be a lot less powerful but it did hinder her obvious grand amount of power.
Last to enter the chamber was Vigil, not because he feared the fight we were in but more because he didn’t care for fighting so much as we did, he wielded no weapons or staffs and only used flow magic for attack although he did show extreme mastery of it, using my gravity attack in combination with spears made from condensed air and rock throws, he also strait up crushed some of them with his magic and he even transformed the movement of things that were thrown at him into energy by stopping them, this basically creates a barrier around him and allows him to be in the middle of a battle and not get hit with a single thing.
These people are way more powerful than I gave them credit for, I mean I was kind of astounded that they wanted me to prove my power to them even though I defeated those three gorilla things in front of them but I guess that doesn’t say much to them, I guess I should try a little harder to show I am an asset that they not only need but want!!
