"peaceful" relations

“Great god of flames, devourer my enemy in a great inferno so that they may repent for the sin of facing me” a middle-aged looking elf called as magic power flowed into her wand.

The magic that had flowed into her want seemed to have been strengthened when it was released as heat magic, which I didn’t know could happen, and she used an actual spell, I guess I don’t need to as I've never said one in the time I've been in this world.

The magic power that she had been magnified then gathered above me and made a flaming pillar that quickly came towards me, it would have been hot enough to melt through my outer plating quite quickly if I hadn’t imbued it with shield, but it never reached me as I activated my skill “Absorb” and took all the out of the blast which I then absorbed, I then turned my attention back to the soldiers which had now started charging me with their swords in the air. I then used the magic energy I had just taken from the flame pillar; I pressurized a large amount of air to form a ball in front of my hand, then when the soldiers were a bit closer, I released my control over the air creating a massive blast which blew most of them away and the ones that didn’t fly were stunned.

“BPRRPPBPRBPRBPPBPRPBRPRPBBPB!!!” the ground shook as three hexapedal creatures that looked like white gorillas came crawling over the same mountain I came from.

“Everyone, retreat he has backup!” yelled the leader of the soldiers

As the three six-legged gorillas came charging down the mountain I unsheathed my glorious sword and activated the magic symbols on its handle.

“What do you think it is doing Grog?” asked the elf who had earl

“I dunno, how could I know Eliz?” said a heavily muscled dwarf with a red beard.

“Well, you did just look at it like it was some pretty girl” said a human with shiny silver armor

“Well Ya can’t ignore a beauty like that” answered Grog as he looked at his party mates, searching for someone who shares his sentiment.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

“it’s true that it is quite interesting, and especially for a dwarf like you” answered a nerdier looking human from the first one.

“Ya see! At least Vigil has my back in this” yelled Grog out excitedly

“Hey, you want to bet that he won’t attack those other beasts, Aldor?” said Eliz jokingly to the knight

“I'll take you up on that” said Aldor with a hopeful smile

The strength of my dash shattered the rock were I was standing a moment before, my lapis bleu blade flowed like a small mountain creak and sliced through the first beast like a great river through the landscape, and before the lifeless body had dropped to the ground I was already on my way to the next beast, this one was faster and managed to dodge my strike trying to strike immediately after, but I immediately followed up with a condensed bolt of extremely hot metal I had quickly created, the bold went straight through his brain and instantly killed him, the last six-legged gorilla used a magic I hadn’t thought of yet to shoot a bolt of lightning at me, I quickly absorbed it and then imagined an electrical charge and a path for the charge to travel, I shot a massive bold of lightning at it which fried his nervous system and killed him.

“I guess you now have to pay me” said Aldor laughingly as he lifted his hand in anticipation

“Damn it!” Cried Eliz “and was hoping to spend this on a new conduit staff.”

“Does this mean he’s friendly?” asked Vigil

“I hope so, then I can learn more about how it works!” Grog said excitedly

After that short fight I sheathed my sword and tried to restart the friendly conversation we had earlier, this time however I used magic to reduce the distance between the atoms in my body which made me shrink and then using shield on the ground where I walked made it, so I didn’t shatter whatever I walked on. This gave me a more friendly and less threatening look which I hoped would cause less hostility.

“Please don’t attack, I harbor no ill will towards you” I said in a calm voice

The soldiers I had knocked down had gotten up by now and probably saw my fight with the beasts, so they finally looked like they calmed down a bit.

“OI! How did ya shrink?” screamed a dwarf with a thick red beard as he approached me

Close behind him were three other warriors, one elf and two humans, that still seemed to be wary of me in contrast to the dwarf that had probably forgotten our little confrontation earlier.

“I made use of magic to close the distance of my subatomic particles” I answered casually.

This answer seemed to both confuse and excite him as he now had a big grin on his face.

“What are your names?” I asked the group that stood before me now closer to the same height as me (I was still around three meters tall).

“well, I am Vigil” answered the nerdy looking human “and these are Grog, Eliz and Aldor. Together we form a party of challengers!”
